Nemocnice – Bohunice public transport hub in Brno with settting – back track tramway terminus

In my master thesis I deal with a design reconstruction of the current public transport terminus of Nemocnice - Bohunice. Terminus layout includes transfering the tramway line from Osová stop to the hub, the new tramway stop is a setting-back track. There is preserved the utilization of hub by existing city and regional lines of buses and troley buses and newly established regional bus lines (401,402,403,404) and also the entrance to the Bohunice hospital parking in the design. This design provides a safe flow of passengers and pedestrians and their safe road crossing.

Introducing Nursing Care Standard to the Anaesthesiology Clinic

Nowadays, "quality" is a much-used term in connection with the provision of healthcare. Every healthcare provider has as its goal the provision of high-quality services. Its up to each of them to decide both how ambitious they can be in the pursuit of patient satisfaction and how best to achieve this. At the IKEM Anaesthesiology Clinic, we provide post-operative care for patients after cardiac surgery. In the early stages of recovery, patients can suffer acute pain accompanied by a whole range of other symptoms. Insufficient analgesia prevents patients attempting adequate breathing rehabilitation and early post-operative mobilisation. Some patients accept pain as part and parcel of surgery. Even though they are in pain they don't think to ask for analgesia. For these reasons, we decided to research how the patient views his own comfort and rates his experience of the medical care provided in the post-operative department. By means of simple organisational measures - increasing the frequency and relevance of patient feedback, by standardising procedures and introducing standard practices into the analgaesic therapy, it is possible to increase patients' comfort. And this without increasing costs and without unnecessary side-effects.

8 ABSTRACT This thesis discusses the theme: "The principles of the safe administration of medication and it's impact on the quality of care". This work is divided into two sections - theoretical and practical. The main purpose of the theroretical part is to focus on recapping the theories of quality in healthcare, especially in terms of safety for patients during medication administration. The drugs are the most frequently used therapeutic means of the modern medicine and therefore the topic of safe administration is so often the matter of discussion. Theoretical part of my thesis defines quality in healthcare and also includes chapters about methods for improving the quality and standardization of health care. This work presents an effective tools for dealing with misconducts and describes possible reasons and causes of patient's harm during the administration processes. The practical part of the thesis is dedicated to the content analysis of the selected nursing standards from hospitals within the Czech Republic. The main objective of this thesis is to compare the formal and practical aspects of nursing standards (injection administration) in three different health care facilities with regards to the structural, procedural and results criteria. The staff evaluation in Oblastní nemocnice Jičín a.s.

Diploma thesis deals with the assessment of performance appraisal of non-medical healthcare employees in Oblastní nemocnice Jičín a.s. . The thesis contents theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part anchors the performance appraisal system into the human resource management, with focus on the role of line managers. It also deals with the definition of job performance, circumstances that influence, and capabilities of its monitoring. Another part of the thesis emphasizes on the implementation of employee appraisal into practice, in which top management of the organization plays an important role. At the end of the theoretical part, I try to highlight the importance of linking of employee assessment with the vision, goals and values of the organization. The theoretical part offers the solution of the imperfections identified in the applied research. The practical part brings point of view on the reasons and way of implementation of employee appraisal in the organization, its adaptation by the employees and effectiveness of its use by the line managers. Use of supervision as a professional support for nurses in MNUL

The thesis is focused on exploring the needs and options for supporting non-medical workers at health care environment (namely Masaryk Hospital in Usti nad Labem), particularly in the form of supervision. Theoretical part describes the role of nursing; all factors decreasing her/his job satisfaction, risks associated with the role of helping and supervision, as one of the forms of professional support having an impact on job satisfaction. The practical part, using questionnaire survey, examines the factors affecting the job satisfaction and the presence of favorable conditions for the implementation of supervision. In subsequent discussions with the leadership of the hospital about the utilization of supervision as a professional support to nurses, the author drew up a series of concrete proposals ready to be used in Masaryk Hospital, which can be found at the empirical part.
