Variability of Lepidium campestre seed mass concerning nutrition

Seed production allows plants to maintain their genetic diversity, survive in dormancy through unfavourable conditions and disperse to new distant sites. Seed's own size reflects the amount of provisions designated for its germination, thus the rate and success of its germination. Seed size can also suggest dispersion distance, a chance to avoid seed predators, and how likely the seedling will withstand unfavourable conditions right after germination and before the formation of necessary structures for growth independent of maternal supplies. In general, the more nutrients a plant acquires during seed production, the bigger the number or size of seeds it can produce. In some cases, more nutrient uptake can lead to the production of more numerous and bigger seeds simultaneously, however, the direction of increased investment in reproduction highly depends on plant species. This work studies the effect of nutrient gradient in the environment on the variability of seed size in Lepidium campestre. It explores how seed traits change along the maternal environmental nutrient gradient, specifically how their number, size and seed coat thickness responds to the gradient. Company´s Culture and its Influence on Customers

This bachelor thesis deals with the corporate culture of ABC CYKLOSPORT s.r.o. and the promotion of the market. It is focused on maintaining customer satisfaction and the related increase in market share for the company. It is already established theoretical knowledge of the topic of corporate culture. In the second part there is a description and evaluation of questionnaire survey. These results constitute an established cornerstone for the design of measures that will lead to an increase in market share and streamline the work of employees.

Influence of the citrulination of histon proteins on the expression of selected genes in myeloid cells

Neutrophils are major cell type of innate immunity, that can eliminate pathogens by different mechanisms. One of these mechanisms is called NETosis, which leads to release of decondensed chromatin and citrullinated histone proteins. Citrullination is post-translational modification catalysed by peptidylarginine deiminase (PAD) and causing transformation of possitively charged arginin to neutral citrullin and can change expression of cytokine genes. Concetrations of pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-8, TNF, IL-1) were measured after activation of PAD4 and induction of citrullination. Calcium ionophore was used to induce citrullinaton, Cl-amidine and TDFA were used as inhibitors. Production of cytokines was assessed by ELISA on protein level and by qPCR on mRNA level. It was found that induction of citrullination led to increased concentrations of IL-8 and IL-1. Elevated gene expression of IL-8 was confirmed on mRNA level. Both inhibitors were able to decrease level of histone H3 citrullination and IL-8 and IL-1 concentrations. Expression of TNF was not detected on protein and mRNA level.

Results evaluation are important point by which unspools draft of measures largely focus on generation of competition advantage for company and increase number her customers.
