Software Support of Financial Analyze for Small Firm

The bachelor thesis Software Support of the Financial Analysis of the Company deals with the financial situation of the enterprise using the produced software for calculating the financial analysis. Its theoretical part describes the basic methods of financial analysis, the financial indexes, the background of the language Visual Basic. The second part deals with the programme whose backbone is created by Excel and Microsoft Visual Basic. In the following part of the thesis the financial analysis of a concrete company was carried out, focussing on significant financial characteristics.

Title of Thesis: Drug use among the university students- experiences and knowledge in right using Background: - to define a situation in the area of antibiotic and psychopharmaceuticals abuse among the pharmacy students in four different countries (Czech Republic, Great Britain, Australia, Kuwait); - to analyse eventual differences in students' opinions, experiences and attitudes towards these problems, depending on their sex, nationality, and family background; Methods: - anonymous questionaire study; - closed and semi - closed questions; - 800 students (655 females and 145 males) between the age of 16-37 years (average age 19 years); - data analysed in Microsoft Excel 2002 and 2007; - results were obtained through chi - square test; Results: ANTIBIOTICS - the reason of antibiotic use is bacterial infection (36 %), viral infection (25,4 % - from that 8,1 % British and 7,6 % Australians), flu or cold (9,2 %), fever (2,6 % - from that 2,3 % Australians); - ceasing antibiotic usage as instructed by the doctor (95,2 %), after the symptoms of ilness disappear (4,4 %), after the dicrease of fever (0,5 % - from that...

The Case Study of Life of Chosen Children, Who Grow Up in Children´s Homes in the Region of Central Bohemia

The thesis looks at issues regarding the life of children growing up in children's homes. Theoretical part focuses on child, family, its functions and behavioural disorders in family that often result in violence against children and may lead to institutional childcare. The section regarding behavioural disorders in family is followed by a description of specific aspects of social and legal protection of children. Solutions and possibilities provided by State or other organizations for at-risk children are described. There is also a description of substitute care institutions. Finally, the most frequent reasons for placement of children in children's homes are listed, including risks that may result from leaving such institutions. Practical part of the thesis looks at young people growing up in children's homes. Children´s life in such institutions was mapped using qualitative research. The main objective was to answer to the research questions in order to get a better understanding of issues regarding children placed in children's homes.

Analysis of precious metals and diamonds

The main intention of this thesis is the analysis of the factors that influence the precious metals market according to the selected methodology. The secondary intention is the consideration of the posibility to include the commodities traded on the precious metals market in the portfolio of investments. The introductory chapter deals with the listing of the commodities, the most important commodity exchanges and derivatives. The second chapter individually describes the precious metals. The first subsection of the second chapter analyzes the supply and demand for the individual metals. The following subsections focus on the factors that influence the price of the precious metals in history and in present time. The analytical part, which concludes this chapter includes the calculations of correlation coefficients, average growth coefficient and standard deviation of the factors that influence the precious metals. The last chapter of this thesis is dedicated to diamonds and is divided to two major subsections. The first subsection describes the history of the most significant diamonds, the characteristics of diamonds, the types of the deposits and the major producers of diamonds. The second subsection analyzes the prices of natural and synthetic diamonds and the development of profit of the selected company in terms of time. The last chapter deals with investments in diamonds.
