Role of Experiments in Chemical Education at Waldorf Lyceum Compared to "Ordinary" Gymnasium in the Czech Republic

4 Abstract This bachelor thesis examines the role of experiments in Chemistry lessons at Waldorf schools and roughly compares the approach towards their implementation into lessons at Waldorf schools and selected secondary schools (gymnasia) in the Czech Republic. The first part is dedicated to the description of Waldorf school specifics. The second part gives results of a general survey focused on the ways of use and frequency of experiments at selected secondary schools in the Czech Republic. Results of this survey and visits to laboratory practicals at one high school were confronted and discussed in contrast with results of inspections of classes at two Waldorf schools; Waldorf Lyceum in Prague and Primary and Secondary Waldorf School in Semily. Approaches to experiments at both types of schools are compared and arguments for and against are given. On the whole we can say that Waldorf schools take experiments (demonstrations) as an integral part of every Chemistry lesson and are essential for Chemistry education. However laboratory practicals are rare and the amount of information in lessons is smaller than at ordinary secondary schools observed. Interactive Whiteboard in Inorganic Chemistry Teaching - Group 14 of the Periodic Table of Elements Secondary Education

1 Abstract The subject of this thesis was creating of teaching material for an interactive whiteboard using the SMART Notebook program. The material was created in form of interactive presentations designed to be used in chemistry lessons at secondary schools. The unifying theme of presentations was the 14th group of the periodic table of elements. The thesis also includes a description of the way the presentations were made and instructions for teachers how to work with them. It also introduces some advantages and disadvantages of working with the SMART Notebook software. Taxation of employee benefits in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis is focused on taxation of selected employee benefits in the Czech Republic. Providing of employees benefits is evaluated with respect to the tax base of the employer, the tax base of the employee and to the assessment base for the payment of social security and state employment policy contributions and for general health insurance. The diploma thesis is divided into three parts. The first chapter defines the term human capital and employee benefits, analyzes the most frequently provided employee benefits and describes the possibilities of covering. The second chapter follows up the tax and insurance aspects of selected employee benefits. In the third chapter are described the employee benefits which are provided by consulting group ASB Group and are defined suggestions how to change the system of employee benefits.

Administration of local taxes in the selected municipality

The subject of my bachelor thesis is to analyze the administration of local taxes in Benešov. At work, I explained the meaning of fundamental concepts, that are necessary to understand the issue, I found out, what powers and authority municipalities have in local taxes, I described the process of creating generally binding regulations, individual elements of the charges and I characterized the system of local taxes in the Czech Republic. Then I described the administrative tax proceedings, including all its components. I conducted an analysis of local taxes in Benešov, where I classified the various charges. I detailed the proper course of proceedings in the local municipality, which I chose. Among other things, I also looked into the history of the administration of local taxes in Benešov and prepared expert opinions of the delegation of administration of property taxes to municipal authority in Benešov. In the end I made a synthesis of their knowledge and develop their own recommendations for the municipality Benešov.
