"The driver, who has a hard bread." Transformation of life and work conditions as experienced by bus drivers in Prague public transport.

The master's thesis "Řidič, ten tvrdý chleba má (describing how hard life the driver has): Changes of the life and work conditions of public transport bus drivers in Prague" tries to bring closer the work of public transport bus drivers in Prague in the period called Normalization and Transformation on the basis of the oral historical method in comparison with secondary literature and the archival research. The thesis focuses on the Prague Public transport Company drivers who worked in Dejvice and Řepy garages. Through obtaining the oral history interviews and the written documents, author explores how the profession has changed over the last forty years. Based on his research, he concludes that drivers dominant position in respect of passengers and the transport company turn into a completely opposite role at present. The topic of the thesis is not only enriching us from the perspective of individual fates but it also allows us to open the topics regarding the impact of the modern technologies on the work of ordinary people. The master's thesis helps to understand the bus driver work and life but also shows the transformation of understanding this profession in the Czech society itself. Analysis of tennis single on clay

Title: Analysis of tennis single on clay Objectives: The aim of the work was to analyze 10 elite players on clay and also to discover differences in observed aspects of their plays. Methods: The analysis was done by observing video recordings of chosen matches from the French Open 2016 tournament. It was a notational analysis. The results were recorded into record sheets that were prepared in advance. Firstly, descriptive analysis was used to analyze all of the matches. Thereafter, all of the matches were analyzed by descriptive analysis of graphs and measured values. Results: The results show different techniques and styles among male athletes on clay, given the service and its variations, the return and its variations, the length of plays, and other observed aspects; resulting in other tactical differences among the players. 1 Abstract Title: Behaviour in various tennis games situations by men and women Objectives: The aim of the work is to compare two surfaces and two sexes and to learn what differences there are and what are the ways of getting points in singles. Methods: The analysis was based on observation of selected tennis matches during Wimbledon 2014 and French Open 2014. A quantitative method was used - lines used as a recording tool. The results were recorded into prepared recording sheets. The analysis of all matches itself was done by a descriptive method. Results: The results inform about differences in styles of play between men and women on grass and on clay. From those differences other tactical distinctions between men and women follow. Colonel Jaroslav Sommer, the fate of an ordinary soldier affected by two dictatorships

Bachelor Thesis "Colonel Jaroslav Sommer, the fate of an ordinary soldier effected by two dictatorships " attempt to descibe the lifestory of Colonel Jaroslav Sommer with use of comparison method of secondary literature and thorough Archive research. Author based on family information reveals the story of his relative Jaroslava Sommer, who fought in the Second World War in the West. His actions in the Czechoslovak army are so interesting that it certainly deserve attention and detailed historical research. The thesis focuses on Jaroslava Sommers life milestones, that are placed in historical context. By using the obtained materials leads to the conclusion that the key factor that significantly influenced Sommers life, was joining to foreign resistance. Especially his stay in the West, which was the pretense for his departure from the army and the subsequent persecution by the communist regime, can be regarded as decisive. The theme of the thesis is rewarding not only from the perspective of a specific family history, but also allows us to open up issues concerning contemporary context. The fate of one soldier helps bring complicated phase of czechoslovakian, but also international history in the first half of the twentieth century.
