Problems of novice geography teachers in the transition to praxis

6 Abstract The Bachelor's thesis Problems of Novice Geography Teachers in the Transition to Praxis deals with students with field of study of Geography teaching (both single and combined studies) at the Faculty of Science of Charles University and their problems in the teaching profession. The first part of the thesis deals with the theoretical framing of novice teachers, their characteristics and the problems they may face. The thesis then explores different conceptions of the competences that teacher graduates, and therefore a novice teachers, should have and master after their studies in order to be able to manage their profession without problems. In particular, the focus is on the Competency Framework for Graduate Teachers from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (Bořkovec a kol. 2023). The thesis also describes the support techniques for novice teachers, emhasizing collegial sharing and its specific forms. Collegial sharing is also applied in the teaching practices completed by geography student teachers at the Faculty of Science of Charles University. Workplace bullying: prevalence, forms, and work environment predictors

The thesis focuses on the issue of workplace bullying or mobbing, with the aim of identifying organizational factors affecting the incidence of workplace bullying in the public sector. The theoretical part of the thesis defines the main concepts and theories related to bullying as one of the main forms of workplace hostility. The disciplinary context of research in occupational health psychology is introduced. Subsequently, definitions and typologies of workplace bullying are presented and the main organizational predictors of bullying, including job demands or leadership, are discussed in detail. The Job-Demands and Resources (JD-R) Theory is described in detail and provides a theoretical framework for the hypotheses tested in the empirical part of the paper. The theoretical part ends with an overview of the prevalence of mobbing abroad and in the Czech Republic. The empirical part of the thesis describes the quantitative research conducted to determine the prevalence and forms of mobbing and to identify selected organisational predictors of mobbing in the public sector. Including a Pupil from a Minority in a School

Předmětem diplomové práce je problematika školní kariéry dětí v sociálně vyloučené lokalitě Masokombinát. V rámci této problematiky jsou analyzovány různé příčiny, které znesnadňují začlenění dětí z ghetta ve škole. V ohnisku pozornosti jsou především rodiny a děti v této lokalitě, se kterými se podařilo navázat dlouhodobý kontakt. Hlavními metodami práce jsou rozhovory s matkami rodin a pozorování v rodinách. Cílem tohoto výzkumu byl komplexnější vhled do problematiky tématu školy v jednotlivých rodinách a porovnání výsledků s obecně rozšířenými názory ve společnosti. V diskuzi a závěru práce jsou shrnuty jak společné postoje jednotlivých rodin ke školní kariéře dětí, tak je zde upozorněno na některá dilemata, která z rozhovorů s matkami rodin vyplývají.
