Approaches to the development of communication skills of children of the younger school-age

The diploma thesis deals with the communication skills of children of the younger school- age in a common primary school. In this thesis, expressive and receptive components of speech are monitored and the progress in both of them written down. The theoretical part focuses on "communication" in general and on the definition of related terms as well. An "impaired communication ability" is also described and its individual types are elaborated in detail. For each type, the thesis states description of symptoms, diagnosis and prevention. Last but not least, the theoretical part deals with the education of children with special educational needs. The diploma thesis also covers and explains terms that are connected to this topic as well as explains support measures or aids. The research part, using mixed research (qualitative and quantitative), focuses on children of the younger school-age attending a common primary school. The specifics that occur in the communication skills of these children are observed as well as their progress in particular exercises. The survey is carried out in two phases with a time gap of 4 months in order to enable monitoring of prospective progress. The results of a survey are presented both qualitatively and quantitatively. Globalization in Africa

The aim of this thesis is to summarize up to date findings concerning globalization of Africa, its effects on the continent, real problem solutions, as well as possible recommendations which could attribute to the acceleration of economic growth. Is this impact positive or negative? The initial chapter partially aims to characterize globalization as such, its basic spheres and manifestations that were used to record the impact of this phenomenon. In the following chapter, a summary of positive as well as negative consequences for the African continent, which were induced by globalization, is given. The third chapter focuses on the airline network and its characterization as a potential measure of globalization in African cities. The advantages resulting from this evaluation of city globalization are also stated. Subsequently, possible recommendation thanks to which Africa could get the best out of globalization, are mentioned. The end of the chapter is devoted to international aid.

Collective investment in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis concerns Collective Investment in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part the core of collective investment and its development within the Czech Republic is solved. Next, there is a legislation modifying collective investment. The thesis also describes subjects of collective investment and a typology of funds. The practical part deals with com-parison of mutual funds; equity and bond funds. The timeframe chosen for this thesis is from 2010 to 2015. Funds are compared according to criteria such as volatility, profitability, total cost of the fund, the length of the history of the fund and net asset value. The thesis uses the monthly net asset value of each fund to calculate the return on an investment and the monthly profitability is used for a calculation of volatility. The best fund, from all chosen equity funds, was a fund Conseq Invest Akciový, which was one of the best in every criterion. The second best rated fund was AXA CEE Akciový. Another fund valuable to be mentioned is Spo-rotrend who was the worst one. In this case, the idea that the fund's long history does not speak of its future performance is confirmed. In summary comparison of selected bond funds a fund KB Dluhopisový, offered by IKS KB, a. s., was the best one. A fund AXA CEE Dluhopisový was just behind this and the last one was a fund ČS korporátní dluhopisový which was offered by Erste Asset Management GmbH, branch Czech Republic. Even before the retail investor will invest, he should settle a few goals. One of them is to determine the purpose of the chosen funds. Then he must consider his risk tolerance. The investor should also properly diversify their resources as assets. It is advisable to invest into the three areas, namely to money-market fund, bond and stock markets.
