Solidification of castings by pouring into shell moulds in vakuum furnaces
Odložil, Jan ; Ňuksa, Petr (referee) ; Roučka, Jaromír (advisor)
Heat transfer during metal pouring and its solidification in the vacuum furnace have been investigated by experiments using model set of castings of different diameters and insulations. The pouring metal was Inconel 713LC alloy based on nickel. The found data have been used for optimization of the numerical simulation of the thermal regime during the both pouring and solidification phases of the process in vacuum. Numerical simulation of the alloy structure in individual castings has been made by the CAFE module of the ProCast software and obtained results compared with the real structure. The optimized boundary conditions can be used for simulation of real castings.
Foundry sands and their properties
Odložil, Jan ; Nezvalová, Hana (referee) ; Rusín, Karel (advisor)
Bachelor thesis describes advantages and disadvantages of base sands used in foundries. The most popular base sands are silicas for their economical and size fraction. They have also much defects as discontinued heat dilatation, acidit reaction and silicosis. Non-silica base sands have not this disadvantages, but they are more expensive. Some foundries have started applying new synthetic non-silica base sands in recent time, which are chemically neutral and the casting quality is high.
The perception of Gambrinus brand
Odložil, Jan ; Horová, Olga (advisor) ; Křítková, Soňa (referee)
The goal of this master´s thesis is to analyse the perception of Gambrinus brand on the Czech beer market and on the basis of the analysis to formulate recommendations for the owners of the brand to maximize the brand value and improve the brand perception. The theoretical part of the thesis is to describe the brand in general, the strategic management of the brand and methods of the research. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the description of the Czech beer market with emphasis on Plzeňský Prazdroj group. In the next chapter Gambrinus brand is analysed in terms of values, marketing campaigns and the market position. The last chapter consists of quantitative and qualitative research with a goal of analysing the perception of Gambrinus brand on the Czech market. On the basis of the results of the research, the recommendations for the owners of the brand are made.

The economic contribution of sports events to the development of tourism in Olomouc and Ústí nad Labem
Odložil, Jan ; Silovská, Hana (advisor) ; Tomešová, Jana (referee)
This Bachelor thesis analyzes the importance of organizing urban runs Runczech.com (Ústí nad Labem 1/2 Marathon and Olomouc 1/2 Marathon) to increase the economic benefits of tourism in the cities of Olomouc and Ústí nad Labem and their regions. In the theoretical part, the emphasis is put on the explanation of related issues such as tourism, its economic importance, the relation between tourism and regional development and the organization of activities and events. The practical part describes the socio-economic analysis of the two regions Ústí nad Labem and Olomouc. It also shows the economic impact of runs in both cities, a survey analysis and an evaluation of the Runczech.com runs overall impact on the economy of the Czech republic. The goal is to assess whether the organization of urban runs has a positive impact on tourism and whether it contributes to the economy of the whole region.
