Case study of physiotherapy care for patient diagnosed with polyneuropathy

Title: Case study of physiotherapy care for patient diagnosed with polyneuropathy. Objective: Summary of theoretical knowledge and the processing of case study of patient diagnosed with polyneuropathy. Summary: The thesis consists of two parts. The theoretical part includes the elucidation of illness polyneuropathy, classification, diagnosis and treatment. A special section is devoted to case study with a rehabilitation plan for the patient. The therapy was focused mainly at influencing the pathological sensation, improving fitness and stability when standing and walking. Case study was prepared at the time of practice from 08. 01. to 17. 01. 2013 at the neurology department of the Hospital Na Bulovce. Title: Case study: Physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of polytopic vertebral algic syndrome The aim of this thesis was to make a research focused on the polytopic vertebral algic syndrome and the physiotherapy treatment of a patient with such diagnosis. In the theoretical part the topic was covered considering anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology, clinical symptoms, methods of treatment and subsequent therapy, focusing mainly on physiotherapy treatment possibilities. The practical part was made in a case history form, compiled during the continuous medical practice at Rehabilitation Clinic of Královské Vinohrady University Hospital from 23 January till 17 February 2012. Case study: Physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of paresis n. peronei

Title: Case study of physiotherapy treatment of patient with the paresis n. peroneus . Goals: Gain of theoretical and practical knowledge about peripheral paresis, especially peripheral paresis n. peroneus . Subsequent case study formulation of patient with selected diagnosis made during coherent scholarly practice. Methods: The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis contains theoretical knowledge about anatomy of peripheral nervous system of the lower extremities, the clinical image of the peripheral paresis ane the treatment with sequential therapy. Results: Decrease of muscle shortening. Increase of muscle strenght in weakened muscels, improvement of movement range, elimination of reflective changes and restoration of joint play. Conclusions: Indication of physiotherapy is on of the most important in the treatment of peripheral paresis. Key words: peripheral paresis, n.peroneus, physiotherapy, case study.

Title of bachelor thesis: Case study: Physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of lumbar and other intervertebral discs disease with radiculopathy Aims: To summarize the theoretical knowledge about functional anatomy, biomechanics and kinesiology of axial system, the pathophysiology of degenerative vertebral disease and about vertebrogenic radicular syndromes its diagnosis and therapy. Concept and execution of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with a subsequent evaluation of its effect. Methods: This thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and special. The theoretical part is processed in the form of research and includes theoretical knowledge regarding the etiology, diagnosis and treatment of vertebrogenic radicular syndromes. The special part is processed in the form of case study. Results: The chosen therapy had a positive effect on the patient. Increased strength of paretic muscles of left lower limb, improved the dynamics of the spine, adjusted muscle imbalances in the area of pelvic girdle, improved posture and gait stereotype. Case study: Physiotherapy treatment of a patient with the diagnosis of acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease

The aim of this work is a record of physiotherapeutic care of patient with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in acute exacerbation. First, there is described a characteristic of this disease including the exacerbation followed by a recherche of contemporary view of pulmonary rehabilitation and respiratory physiotherapy. There is a strong emphasis on the active cycle of breathing techniques in the therapy as a method of controlled and effective expectoration. The evaluation of the effect of the therapy is based on the difference of results in the mMRC and CAT questionnaires, functional examination 6-minute walk test and the BODE Index value gathered during the initial and the end examination. Name of thesis: A case study of physiotherapeutical care of a patient after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery. Objectives: The purpose of the general part of this bachelor's thesis is to assess the matters of knee soft tissue injury with emphasis on the anterior cruciate ligament, the potentialities of conservative and surgical treatment and physiotherapeutical care in particular. The special part of the thesis is dedicated to the presentation of a case study of a patient after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery. The supporting records for the case study were obtained during continuous specialized bachelor's practice it the Hospital Na Bulovce in January 2013. Method: This bachelor's thesis consists of two parts: general and special. The general part has been produced in the form of literature search. The special section is concerned with the case study of physiotherapeutical care of a patient after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.
