PC Controlled PLL Synthesizer
Málek, Miroslav ; Šrámek, Petr (referee) ; Vágner, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is a practical realization of computer controlled PLL synthesizer using USB serial port. FT232RL was used as an interface between the PLL synthesizer ADF4110 and PC. A software with graphical user interface was also developed in order to control registers of the syntesizer.

Málek, Martin ; Pavlas, Martin (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on optimization models in logistics, which are solved by linear programming. Theoretical part introduces basic terms of graph theory, optimization, linear programming and network flows. Practical part contains mathematical models, their implementation, and obtained results. Furthermore, real-world application is solved at the end.
Using Time Series Analysis to Evaluate Company Efficiency
Sedmera, Tomáš ; Málek, Miroslav (referee) ; Doubravský, Karel (advisor)
The thesis focuses on assessing economic health of Agro Zvole, a.s. company, operating in the agricultural sector, producing plant and animal production. For objective evaluation of economic performance financial analysis indicators are used, to also work with statistics, represented by timeline analysis technique. Both previous numerical procedures (methodology) are based on company financial statements for each fiscal period. To be specific, individual indicators of financial analysis from the financial statements (profit and loss account and balance sheet) are calculated for each fiscal period and these are then aligned using time lines and future trends prediction (development). The individual results are accompanied by commentaries. To create the right comments, resulting from arithmetic operations, it is useful to compare individual results with management of other corporate entities within a single sector of the economy and their respective area. That is why other agricultural companies from former Žďár nad Sázavou district are included in the research as they follow: Agria Ujčov, a.s., Bobrovská, a.s. and Bohuňov Company, a.s. Previous research conclusions based on results of comparing the management of Agro Zvole, a.s. with managements of other companies are used to discover gaps of Agro Zvole, a.s. management. Next section of the thesis is devoted to model my own proposals to eliminate or at least alleviate problematic conditions in the company's performance. It is important to find mistakes, but more importantly find a way to eliminate them. In conclusion, the thesis summarizes the results of each part of the work and its benefits are outlined for the referenced entity.
Stochastic Optimization of Network Flows
Málek, Martin ; Holešovský, Jan (referee) ; Popela, Pavel (advisor)
Magisterská práce se zabývá stochastickou optimalizací síťových úloh. Teoretická část pokrývá tři témata - teorii grafů, optimalizaci a progressive hedging algoritmus.
Unsteady CFD simulation of flow under a downward moving gate
Málek, Miroslav ; Štefan, David (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
Emergency gates are important safety feature of hydropower plants. They are used to close the flow in order to protect power plant equipment in case of emergency. In this diploma the-sis are realized CDF simulations of emergency closure of wheel-mounted gate on two-dimensional model of the Slapy hydropower plant. Simulations were performed for the case of constant lowering gate speed and for the case of gravitational closure. Dynamic mesh was used to enable the gate motion. The 6DOF method was used for the case of gravitational clo-sure and user defined function was defined to control movement of the gate. User defined function include gravitational force, hydrodynamic forces and friction force. Simulations were used to verify forces acting on gate and volume flow through gate during closing process. In case of gravitational closure the speed and orientation of closing process and closing process time were determined.
Reliability analysis of the hip joint endoprosthesis ceramic head
Málek, Michal ; Janíček, Přemysl (referee) ; Fuis, Vladimír (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with probability of fracture ceramic head of total hip endoprosthesis during tests by the standard ISO 7206-5. In the first part is made stress analysis with method of finite elements in program ANSYS. Six types of ceramic head with different geometry was analysed for ideal geometry of head and shaft, and also for shape imperfections from nominal conical shaft and head. The final values of principal stress from stress analysis were entry values for the second part – probability of fracture analysis. Weibull weakest-link theory was applied, namely 3-Parameter and 2-Parameter Weibull distribution.
Design of Door Frame Curvature
Merkl, Martin ; Málek, Michal (referee) ; Lošák, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design of door frame curvature, meant for rail vehicle. Flat glass is adhesively bonded onto the curved door frame and due to the elastic deformation the door frame bends backwards. Hence the door frame must be bend with reserve so that the elastic deformation is covered. Finite element analysis of currently manufactured door with constant curvatere has been carried out, with this analysis it has been checked that the chosen problem approach is suitable. Design of door frame curvature is then made for door frame with combined curvature (different for lower and upper part of door frame). The aim of this thesis was to design the curvature so that after glass is bonded onto it, the door frame will have the right dimensions.
KINECT for controlling of mobile robot
Málek, Miroslav ; Brejl, Milan (referee) ; Fedra, Zbyněk (advisor)
This project deals with design of a mobile robot controlled by MS Kinect. The movement of the robot is driven by depth data which is processed with a suitable ARM processor. There is a module designed for serial communication between the processor and the robot chassis. For user computer and ARM processor there are developed software applications to control each part of the robot as well. Finally, this project contains form of the built robot controlled by an ARM processor software. The robot has the ability of controlled movement between obstacles. This allows the robot to not come into contact with any obstacle.

The conceptions in acoustics. The description of the methods measurement of the noise mechanical equipment. The express the uncertainty of measurement. The analyse and determination basic emission values of acoustic pressure and power. The summary of results and programming of the calculation basic emission values acoustic pressure and power for fine implementation measurement.
Safety factor evaluation for an out-of-plane frame under static loading
Málek, Michal ; Profant, Tomáš (referee) ; Burša, Jiří (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with evaluation of safety factor of a space frame when being statically loaded. This examination was demonstrated on a particular example. In order to solve the above mentioned, we exploit the frame symmetry. Unknown parameters were identified from deformation conditions in the point of intersection of the symmetry plane and the frame centreline, where the shift and two turning angles equal zero, and further by means of Maxwell- Mohr variant of Castigliano's theorem for determination of the frame deformation. The basis for calculations of stresses was represented by the theory of combined bar loading, particularly combination of bending and torsion. When examining the frame safety we took into consideration mainly dangerous points possibly occuring through cranks and fixed supports, where stress concentration occurs. The results of analytical solution were verified by numerical calculation in program ANSYS 10.0.
