Fulfillment of the minimum standard of the association of educators in social work in the topic of ethics at selected universities
KUPKOVÁ, Karolína Anastázie
The master's thesis focuses on the topic of fulfilling the Minimum standard of the ASVSP in the area of ethics, specifically the analysis and verification of the effect of teaching on graduates, to determine whether the curriculum leads to successful application of knowledge and skills in practice. It is divided into 4 chapters. The first chapter introduces the characteristics of social work and the social worker. The aim of this chapter is to define social work, characterize the social worker, present the prerequisites of the social worker, and their moral profile. It also highlights the difference between professional and non-professional assistance. The second chapter deals with education in social work. This chapter presents the necessary professional knowledge and the education of social workers, along with its objectives. The chapter also addresses the adequacy of education and emphasizes the importance and intention of the ASVSP. The third chapter focuses on the ethical dimension of social work. Topics covered in this chapter include: ethics as an integral part of social work, ethical codes, education in the field of ethics in the context of social work, as well as the Minimum standard of the ASVSP in the dimension of ethics. It discusses education at the faculty of Theology, University of South Bohemia, in the bachelor's program of Social and Charitable Work. The final chapter presents the research investigation, which was conducted through semi-structured interviews. The aim was to ascertain whether the Faculty of Theology of the University of South Bohemia meets the Minimum Standard of the Association of Social Work Educators regarding the topic of ethics, specifically the analysis and verification of the effect of teaching on graduates, to determine whether the curriculum leads to successful application of knowledge and skills in practice.
Spectral Analysis of EEG Signal
Miklenda, Petr ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Kupková, Karolína (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused at the EEG signal analysis using the Fast Fourier Transform. The theoretical part consist of EEG signal description, its creation and selected method for signal analysis. The practical part presents program for recording data from EEG headset and displaying the Fourier spectrum.
Bioinformatics of human genome
Kupková, Karolína ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Maděránková, Denisa (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with DNA segments containing only adenine and guanine. The theoretical part describes the structure and composition of deoxyribonucleic acid, chromosomes and genes. There are basic informations about chimpanzees and the human genome and conformations of the chains containing adenine with guanine. The practical part consists of a program that searches for the required sections in sequence, it displays and saves it. The thesis includes analysis of genes which are common for humans and chimpanzees, which were analyzed to determine randomness, functionality a preserving of these sections.
Evaluation of Relationships between Pairs of Contacts in Intracerebral EEG
Hraboš, Martin ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Kupková, Karolína (advisor)
This thesis describes selected methods of brain connectivity analysis. It was created an application, as a part of this thesis - plugin for evaluating relationships and dependencies between signals calculated as Pearson correlation coefficients. Computation of these coefficients is accelerated by GPU.
Model of dynamic contrast CT data for verification of registration algorithms
Kupková, Karolína ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Walek, Petr (advisor)
This work is focused on the description of the dynamic contrast-enhanced CT examination and its contribution in the pneumooncology. It includes a program for creating a two-dimensional model of the scan from the thorax and for the perfuse examination simulation using the time-density curve. Real CT data are simulated more authentic using rigid geometric transformations and noise. The model will be used for the validation of registration algorithms that is used to suppress the spatial deformation generated by patient motions during the long time examination.
Electrical Activity Brain Mapping
Dobeš, Petr ; Drahanský, Martin (referee) ; Kupková, Karolína (advisor)
Electrical activity of human brain is one of the most significant signals of biological origin. In order to understand and interpret electroencephalogram (EEG signal) correctly, it is often necessary to perform its visualization. This bachelor thesis deals with EEG signal and its visualization using topographic mapping. The work includes the basics of theory and processing of EEG signal. Moreover, this work consists of design proposal and implementation of an application for topographic mapping of EEG signal obtained using Emotiv Epoc Headset device. Visualization is performed in real time (at the time of measurement). Visualized quantities are amplitude and frequency domain with the possibility to select frequency bands. Implemented application represents an alternative to the procedure when EEG signal has to be recorded and stored in order to perform its visualization.
EEG Signal Processing and Analysis
Dále práce ilustruje základní metodologie měření a záznamu těchto signálů, chyby měření, vliv a zdroje signálových artefaktů.
