Aspen Aerogels: Internationalization of Nanotechnology-based Insulation Materials

Táto diplomová práca je zameraná na analýzu a následné vyhodnotenie trhu v Juhovýchodnej Európe z hžadiska potenciálu a možnosti budúceho investovania a pôsobenia firmy Aspen Aerogels v tomto regióne. Firma Aspen Aerogels má vedúce postavenie vo vývoji a výrobe materiálov pracujúcich na báze nanotechnológie známe ako aerogely s unikátnymi vlastnosťami. Prvá časť diplomovej práce je zameraná na popis teoretickej problematiky, ktorá rieši otázky marketingu, analýzy trhu a internacionalizácie. V druhej časti je kladený dôraz na praktickú analýzu firmy a prostredia. Posledná časť je zameraná na celkové vyhodnotenie potenciálu Balkánskeho trhu a autorove odporúčania, či je Balkánsky trh vhodný na vstup pre firmu Aspen Aerogels a aká marketingová stratégia je vhodná.

Marketing Strategy of European Market Penetration by Colombian Company Hamacas RGV

The main objective of master’s thesis is to analyze the European market as a potential market for the expansion of Hamacas RGV. This Colombian company is focused on production of hand-made traditional high-quality products for example hammocks. In the first part are introduced basic theoretical concepts and marketing analyses which are crucial when planning the expansion strategy. Second part starts with the company’s overall overview and continues with analyses of conditions of external and internal European environment as a potential market for Hamacas RGV expansion in the future. The conclusion is made at the end with the recommendations which are built on examined analyses.

Distant effects of muscle electrostimulation

This work is trying to identify possible non-stimulatory effects and distant effects of muscle electrostimulation musculus quadriceps femoris based on a literature search. Furthermore evaluates the influence of High Tone Electrical Stimulation (HTEMS) muscles of lower limbs on the activity of the autonomic nervous system, expressed by heart rate variability, a spectral power in the individual frequency bands. Randomized crossover study involved 15 healthy subjects (7 men and 8 women), average age 24.4 ± 2,5 years. Heart rate variability was evaluated in two situations: the situation without the application HTEMS and the situation with the aplication of HTEMS. Electrostimulation was done with HITOP 191. The results did not show statistically significant differences in all monitored components. The study also dealt with the reproducibility of measurements of perception and motor threshold for HTEMS.

Unjust enrichment in business law

The thesis analyses the legal concept of unjust enrichment in business law. General legal regulation of unjust enrichment itself has never been included in Commercial Code though it had to be interpreted according to the general regulation contained in the Civil Code. This conception remained unchanged even after the re-codification of civil law, which abolished the Commercial Code, thus we no longer need to differentiate between legal relationships which are of a commercial nature and those which are not. The conclusions reached by the Supreme Court in correlation with the previous legislation cannot be completely abandoned - based on the transitional provisions of the Civil Code - the preceding legislation, and therefore the conclusions of the case law relating thereto, remain applicable. The thesis analyses unjust enrichment, mainly from the perspective of civil law. The commercial aspect is provided in comparison to the previous legislation which focuses on the specifics or application problems in relation to unjust enrichment that have arisen in commercial law. This work is trying to identify possible non-stimulatory effects and distant effects of muscle electrostimulation musculus quadriceps femoris based on a literature search. Furthermore evaluates the influence of High Tone Electrical Stimulation (HTEMS) muscles of lower limbs on the activity of the autonomic nervous system, expressed by heart rate variability, a spectral power in the individual frequency bands. Randomized crossover study involved 20 healthy subjects (12 men and 8 women), average age 24.6 ± 5.6 years. Heart rate variability was evaluated before application of HTEMS and immediately after. Measurements were performed with electrostimulator HiToP 191. The results did not show statistically significant increase in spectral power in the individual frequency bands.
