Automatic detection of microaneurysms in fundus images
Klímová, Markéta ; Walek, Petr (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
Diabetic retinopathy is a serious complication of diabetes mellitus. It develops as a result of total damage of vessels caused by hyperglycemia and it is one of major causes of blindness. The microaneurysms are the first clinically observed pathologies of diabetic retinopathy. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to propose and to implement an automated microaneurysm detector. Teoretical part describes the eye anatomy, diabetic retinopathy and some existing methods of automated detection. Next the implemented solution is described and the results of the detectin are evaluated.
Prediction of RNA secondary structure
Klímová, Markéta ; Provazník, Ivo (referee) ; Maděránková, Denisa (advisor)
RNA secondary structure is very important in many biological processes. Efficient structure prediction can give information for experimental investigations of these processes. Many available programs for secondary structure prediction exist. Some of them use single sequence, the others use more related sequences. Pseudoknots are still problematic for most methods. This work presents several methods and publicly available software and the implementation of minimum free energy method is described.
Importance of robot - assisted tubulisation of the stomach from patient's point of view
Klímová, Markéta ; Tvarůžek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Horáčková, Alexandra (referee) ; Schneiderová, Michaela (referee)
The bachelor's thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with the obesity issue, with possibility of obesity treatment, with robot operating system ad Vinci. Mainly, it is focused on an operating method of robot-assisted tubulisation of the stomach. Further, it summarizes the pre-operative care of the patient after this operation. It also touches on psychological support and care of the patient after the operation tangentially. The empirical part summarizes the postoperative care of the patient after this operation, contains possible nursing diagnoses. Further, by means of a questionnaire, it finds out the reasons making the patients undergo the intervention, the differences in coping with postoperative care between individual patients. It asks about the type and quantity of early postoperative complications. It finds out, whether the patients tried an alternative method of weight reduction before this operation and what in particular. It also deals with patient's idea of weight reduction after the operation. The sample surveyed comprises 50 patients after the robot-assisted sleeve gastrectomy.

Estimation of others openness to cooperation
KLÍMOVÁ, Markéta
The thesis deals with estimation of others openness to cooperation. It is concretely focused on causality between smile and others cooperative behavior. There are analysed issues of cooperation, nonverbal communication and smile in the theoretical part. The matter of cooperation is discussed with the perspective of evolutionary and social psychology. Within the framework of quantitative research was realised social experiment, which had tested the hypothesis of the influence of smile to individuals cooperative behavior. The method of obtaining data was performed by using observation and questionaire during the experiment. The participants (n = 60) was assigned randomly to experiment and control group. On the basis of processed data was detected, that perceiving smile couldn´t be considered as a significant factor of future cooperation.
