Alternative house arrest in the Czech Republic and in England and Wales

Home detention as an alternative sanction in the Czech Republic and in England and Wales This thesis mainly aims on describing certain type of punishment generally called home detention and it's different forms that it takes within the jurisdiction of England and Wales and the Czech Republic. The main purpose of this thesis is to provide overview of those variants of home detention alongside with description of requirements that need to be fulfilled so that the home detention may be imposed. This thesis also provide description of processes of execution of home detention and description of processes that are triggered when conditions of home detention are breached in both England and Wales and the Czech Republic. Comparison of Czech and English forms of home detention shall highlight deficiencies existing mainly in Czech legislation. This thesis is divided into four main chapters that deal with various issues relating to the main topic of this thesis. Meaning of the term of punishment is explained in the first chapter of this thesis, focusing mainly on purpose and function of punishment. Punishment is also explained from the historical point of view, providing overview of evolution of punishment throughout the years and explaining the rise of alternative sanctions. Current resources and opportunities of public libraries funding in the Czech Republic

The aim of this thesis is to describe and evaluate the current situation regarding the funding of public libraries in the Czech Republic. The introduction comprises a concise definition of the legislative framework for funding public libraries. In the main section of the work the author deals with the system of libraries providing public library and information services and how these libraries can be established. Then the analysis of the financial resources that can be used by these libraries follows, i.e. grants by founders, national and international programs and projects to support libraries, fundraising, donating, sponsoring, patronage, volunteering, grants by foundations, libraries' own business. There is also a description of pricing and financial policy, analysis of the financial management of libraries in various regions and the influence of the economic crisis on library budgets. The main part of the thesis related to the whole Czech Republic is followed by the part aimed only at the Central Bohemian. Hobby groups for children and young people in library

The bachelor thesis descripes hobby groups for children and young people in library as perspective development, future of libraries. Users prefer stay at home and communicate online to walk to the library. Nowadays discussions talk about future of libraries and their usage. One trend tends to the library as a place for hobby groups for children, young people and general public. This work has the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part focuses on related legislation in the Czech Republic, summary of bibliopedagogic literature (history, today and future of children's services) and general characterization of hobby groups in library. Practical part of work deals with municipal library in Louny, hobby groups and activities for children and young people included demonstration of art lesson in the library.
