The Implementation of the Disinfection Plan and Hygienic Hand Disinfection Procedures at the Emergent Cardiology Department of IKEM Prague

This diploma thesis describes the implementation of the disinfection plan and hand hygiene procedures at the cardiology department (IKEM). Theoretical part presents the area of safe and quality care in health service, disinfection and the topic of change management. Practical part presents a brief description of cardiology department and then follows the own research. The research is carried out by both quantitative and qualitative methods. Finally, it contains the presentation of microbiologic tests results before and after implemented procedures at the department. Performed analysis has shown that the change in implementation of the disinfection plan and hand hygiene procedures was positively evaluated not only by the majority of staff (nurses, attendants, orderlies) but also by the department's management (staff nurse, department nurse). Additionally the preferable results of microbiologic tests after the implementation confirm the effectiveness of the change. Practical part is finalized with the set of recommendations which should be carried out in order to acquire even stronger results and make the work with disinfection material easier for the staff.
Verification and Evaluation of Employees' Satisfaction in Pelhřimov Hospital

This thesis deals with the analysis and the evaluation of Hospital Pelhřimov, p. o. employees satisfaciton. The aim of this study is to evaluate employees satisfaction, to find out what motivates hospital staff most and to propose recommendation that could lead to increased satisfaction. The survey was conducted by collecting data through a questionnaire. The verification of the first statistical hypothesis -- "Are Hospital Pelhřimov, p. o. employees satisfied at work", was focused on the factors that affect employees most at work. The second survey dealt with the hypothetical question -- "Is group of workers in hospital -- non medicals motivated enough?". After the evaluation of the questionnaires there are submitted several proposals and recommendation that could lead to increased employees satisfaction. In this thesis there is further described the structure of the hospital, the method of remuneration, care for employees, employees benefits, working hours, working conditions and working aids.
