Quo vadis, Czech Legislation - Laws of the Czech Republic since 1993 and Factually Subject Characteristics
Novák, František
This chapter is concerned of the analysis of the Czech legislation from the year 1993 to the present in category of Law Acts as the basic legislative instrument enected in that period. The results obtained from such comparisons demonstrate that the most intensive attention is in legislation devoted to economic and state administrative affairs including justice, but problems connected with individual and his rights and possible satisfying his cultural, social and education needs are after the year 1990 even more marginalized.
Positive influence of humate on the growth of selected plant species
Šerá, Božena ; Novák, František ; Gajdová, Iveta
Stimulatory effect of humic and fulvic acids extracted from local sources of peat (the origin of CR) on germination and early growth of hemp (Cannabis sativa L.), poppy (Papaver somniferum L.), pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) and rape (Brassica napus subsp. napus) was verified. Experiments were performed in standard laboratory conditions. Dry weight of sprout was determined. Obtained data were evaluated by the ANOVA test. Tested plants can be arranged in the order from the significant positive effect on the dry weight to the negative one as follows: hemp, poppy, pepper, rape.
Effect of selected abiotic additives on bioremediation of crude oil contamination in soil
Kuráň, P. ; Trögl, J. ; Nováková, J. ; Pilařová, V. ; Pilařová, K. ; Ederer, J. ; Dáňová, P. ; Pavlorková, J. ; Fryčák, R. ; Bošková, S. ; Kozler, J. ; Novák, František
The effect of addition of selected abiotic additives (humic substances, zeolites) on the biodegradation of crude oil in polluted soil by joint action of autochthonic micro flora as well as by crude-oil-degrading bacterial strain was tested in the set of pot experiments. The process was followed by means of analytical parameters (hydrocarbon index, ratios pristane/C.sub.17./sub., phytane/C.sub.18./sub., total organic carbon content) and characterization of activity and structure of microbial community within one-year-experiment. Addition of humic substances did not affect biodegradation rate significantly, however it improved the evolution of soil microbial community biomass. Addition of zeolites (10% w/w) resulted in slower increase of microbial biomass compared to modules lacking zeolites, however it improved the operation with soil. In contrast, augmentation of degrading bacterial strain increased the biodegradation rate significantly and proved to be the most effective treatment.
Virtual Worlds
Novák, František ; Pokorný, Pavel (advisor) ; Kubátová, Jaroslava (referee)
The bachelor's thesis is focused on highlighting the development of virtual worlds. The paper summarizes the evolution of virtual reality. Current virtual worlds are compared in fundamental aspects, such as sociology, economics and education. Social sphere describes the interaction in virtual reality and its specialities. Economical sphere is focused on comparison of real and virtual economies, including their economic indicators. Educational sphere describes the sciences, which are best useable in virtual reality. In each category is compared the Second Life and the largest MMORPG today. Further are monitored possibilities of virtual reality for academic purposes, particularly for economic education. It is also evaluated using the general suitability of virtual worlds for teaching and specialized economic simulators on the other hand.
The Quality of Law - Its Expression and Measurement
Novák, František
The chapter deals with three pillars which support the existence, implementation and operation of law, i.e. with legislation, application of law, and the area of private activities of parties to legal rules. It stresses the general criteria of the quality of law evaluation and the possible methods of its measurment.
GPC of soil humic and fulvic acids from Trojmezí area
Šestauberová, Martina ; Novák, František
Humic (HA) and fulvic acids (FA) were isolated from individual soil horizons from podzol of spruce forest in Trojmezí stand (Bohemian Forest, 48°46´25¨ N, 13°51´04¨ E). Their molecular weight M.sub.r./sub. and weight-average molecular weight M.sub.w./sub. were determined by the gel permeation chromatography(GPC). For the high-molecular HA fraction (HM-HA), it was found the range of M.sub.r./sub. 380 – 569 kDa, for the main fraction of HA and for FA 6.7 – 31.4 kDa and 1.8 – 3.3 kDa, respectively. The M.sub.r./sub. of humic substances and the proportion of HM–HA decreased with soil depth. HA isolated from horizon B.sub.h./sub. didn´t contain any high-molecular fraction and its molecular weight approached the values specified for FA.
