For the purposes of this thesis two dailies Der Standard and Österreich were chosen and the phraseologisms in them were studied for three weeks. However, not all phraseologisms were examined, but only those which appeared in both dailies in columns concerning domestic and international news. Stýblová, Radka ; Zeman, Dalibor (advisor) ; Haupenthal, Thomas Maria (referee)
TITLE Czech-German (Austrian) language relations - possibilities for language interference SUMMARY This diploma thesis examines the language interference between the Czech and the German in the field of gastronomy. This phenomenon is reflected in the composition of grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. The last area has been selected for a research. I decided to analyze 180 menu cards in the nine states of Austria. In those menu cards I tried to discover 13 in advance chosen words, which have been used in the Central-European language area according to Newerkla. Appearance of those 13 words in menu cards proves mutual language influence between the Czech and the German in each state of Austria. The research, I conducted, shows that the most influenced states are Vienna, Lower and Upper Austria. Probably the main reason for the result is that in these areas the most intensive political and economic cooperation between Czechs and Austrians took place.

Hambálková, Zuzana ; Zeman, Dalibor (advisor) ; Hadwiger, Julia Nina Vanessa (referee)
The Bachelor's Thesis "Lexical austriacisms In Thomas Bernhard's novel HolzJiillen" deals with the analysis of austracisms in a belletristic novel. It focuses on classifying according to language areas of the Austrian vocabulary. It also concentrates upon differences In denotation of standard German and specific Austrian dictionaries. It proofs that the usage of the austriacisnls in the novel IS specific, often comprehensible only on the basis of a context. The novel itself has a very complex syntactic structure. The austriacisms are often used in ironic tone which is typical of Bernhard's style of writing. 3
