Client for Displaying OLAP Cubes
Podsedník, Lukáš ; Kupčík, Jan (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
At the beginning, the project describes basics and utilization of data warehousing and OLAP techniques and operations used within the data warehouses. Then follows a description of one of the commercial OLAP client - based on the features of this product the requirement analysis of the freeware OLAP cube client displayer is desribed - choosing the functionality to be implemented in the client. Using the requirement analysis the structural design of the application (including UML diagrams) is made. The best solution from compared libraries, frameworks and development environments is chosen for the design. Next chapter is about implementation and tools and frameworks used in implemetation. At the end the thesis clasifies the reached results and options for further improvement.
Stemming Methods Used in Text Mining
Adámek, Tomáš ; Chmelař, Petr (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
The main theme of this master's thesis is a description of text mining. This document is specialized to English texts and their automatic data preprocessing. The main part of this thesis analyses various stemming algorithms (Lovins, Porter and Paice/Husk). Stemming is a procedure for automatic conflating semantically related terms together via the use of rule sets. Next part of this thesis describes design of an application for various types of stemming algorithms. Application is based on the Java platform with using of graphic library Swing and MVC architecture. Next chapter contains description of implementation of the application and stemming algorithms. In the last part of this master's thesis experiments with stemming algorithms and comparing the algorithm from viewpoint to the results of classification the text are described.
Knowledge Discovery in Multimedia Databases
Málik, Peter ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Chmelař, Petr (advisor)
This master"s thesis deals with the knowledge discovery in multimedia databases. It contains general principles of knowledge discovery in databases, especially methods of cluster analysis used for data mining in large and multidimensional databases are described here. The next chapter contains introduction to multimedia databases, focusing on the extraction of low level features from images and video data. The practical part is then an implementation of the methods BIRCH, DBSCAN and k-means for cluster analysis. Final part is dedicated to experiments above TRECVid 2008 dataset and description of achievements.
Web Application of Recommender System
Hlaváček, Pavel ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Zendulka, Jaroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with problems of recommender systems and their usage in web applications. There are three main data mining techniques summarized and individual approaches for recommendation. Main part of this thesis is a suggestion and an implementation of web applications for recommending dishes from restaurants. Algorithm for food recommending is designed and implemented in this paper. The algorithm deals with the problem of frequently changing items. The algorithm utilizes hybrid filtering technique which is based on content and knowledge. This filtering technique uses cosine vector similarity for computation.
CSS Object Model in Java
Švercl, Jan ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
This thesis concerns itself with the problems of manipulation with Cascading Style Sheets. The first aim is to create a library for manipulation with Cascading Style Sheets - an object interface of Cascading Style Sheet is proposed, a parser is generated by means of an appliance of JavaCC, the implementation of interface is completed and as a whole connected to a functional unit. The library enables reading Cascading Style Sheet and its transfer into an object representation, editing and subsequently exporting back to the text file. The second part of the thesis deals with the implementation of library for assign property values - every (X)HTML document is formed by the tree of elements to which the rules are consequently searched for in CSS and their declarations are asigned in the correct order. In conclusion of the thesis the DEMO application, which illustrates the possibilities of both libraries and facilitates performing of experiments or testing, is described. Hereafter the technique of profiling, which enables to find out the efficiently demanding passages, which can be optimised further, in the source code, is shown.
Usage of Design Patterns in Software Development
Volf, Jiří ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
The objective of my MSc Thesis was to map over reasons, why are design patterns so popular in the modern information systems and other applications development. It is considering with the basic aspects of object-oriented systems, expounds the importance and structure of design patterns. The explication is followed by categorization of design patterns and in more detail is focused on the most frequently used design patterns including their contribution or complications, which could eventually occur. The advantages of design with design patterns are demonstrated on practical example of database application.
Agile Development Software Support Tool
Veverka, Pavel ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Kreslíková, Jitka (advisor)
Purpose of this thesis is to design system to support agile software development in virtual teams. Agile development methodology and some available tools to support it are listed here in this thesis, in order to use the system in a wide range of devices, theoretical analysis of multi-platform application development options are listed. The following sections describe the design and implementation witch using web technologies. At the end the system is demonstrated on model situation and extension its designed.
A Tool for Transformation of e-Shops into Mobile Devices
Vídeňský, Zdeněk ; Loukota, Petr (referee) ; Bartík, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on transformation of data from e-shops into the mobile application. My goal is to create a complex system for creating the native mobile app for existing e-shop based on the data from a user. The system consists of server-side and a client-side applications. On the server there is a running web app written in the ASP .NET framework, which cares of the processing data entered by a user and of filling database by products and categories on the base of provided XML feed. The server-side application also provides the web API for communication with a client. The client is a native mobile application running on Xamarin platform. This application is written multiplatformly with Xamarin.Forms, the result of this tesis is the only application for Android system. With this application the user is able to browse products and create the orders which are stored on server.
Personal GPS Track Database
Šrubařová, Daniela ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to design and implement an application serving as a database of routes recorded by GPS devices and for purposes of personal use in sport activities such as cycling and running. Proces of both design and implementation is described. The resulting application is capable of processing the files containing data in GPX format. These records can be visualised with support provided by Google maps service. All the useful information about routes is well-aranged and displayed to the user. The application computes statistics for a chosen period of time and provides graphs of elevation profile for selected route. Implemented system for the route management has been continuously tested by volunteers and thus became user-friendly with intuitive user interface.
