Smith Chart Visualization Tool
Marek, Martin ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Kadlec, Petr (advisor)
The objective of my bachelor thesis was to create a Smith chart visualization tool in computing environment MATLAB. I created an impedance Smith chart in graphical user interface which delineate parameters of basic line types. Parameters of transmission lines can be defined in the Smith chart as normalized impedance, reflection coefficient, normalized admittance or impedance in combination with line’s characteristic impedance. It is also possible to design simple matching circuits, e.g. with quarter-wave transformer, series stub, parallel stub or matching circuits with lumped elements.
Antennas for GSM bands
Rousek, Jiří ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Pítra, Kamil (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with miniaturization techniques of the planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA). In bachelor thesis were simulated antennas for the GSM bands using meandering of the radiating patch, capacitive load and U-slolts. Influence of parameters of each miniaturization techniques on the antenna size and parameters were studied. The process of designing the antennas is described in detail. Selected models of antennas were adapted to given dielectric substrate and constructed. The measured results are presented and compared with simulations.
Antenna for microwave beacon on X-band
Zamazal, Bořivoj ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Kasal, Miroslav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis describes an antenna design for microwave beacon in 10 GHz band. In the first section of the work, the possible solutions are presented and a slot antenna, constructed from commercially available waveguide, is chosen. In the second section, the principle of this antenna is described and the dimensions for the chosen frequency and the type of waveguide are calculated. In the third section, the antenna model is built and simulated in the Ansof HFSS environment in accordance with theoretically calculated dimensions and, based on these simulations, two possible versions of antenna are created.
Data from temperature sensors measuring and evaluation software
Obrtlík, Milan ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Všetula, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the development of applications running under the Microsoft Windows System. Its aim is to create an own simple communication protocol on the serial line, which will communicate with the 8-bit AVR microcontroller. Furthermore, the paper deals with processing of the data obtained from the sensors (detection of the sensors, conversion of the sensors‘ numbers into ° C, the display of the obtained values) and with basic commands (modes of measurement, sleep modes, etc...) for the microcontroller.
EMC antenna
Tenora, Jan ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Láčík, Jaroslav (advisor)
The goal of this master’s thesis was to design antenna working in frequency range from 30 MHz to 1 GHz. Designed biconical antenna requires balanced feed to work properly, therefore designing the balancing unit based on discrete components was necessary. Designed antenna was also constructed and its return loss, gain and radiation patterns were verified by measurement. This master’s thesis also introduces readers into principles of antenna measurements of disturbing signals in the area of EMC and compares different types of antennas for bands of meter and decimeter waves.

Modeling of log-periodic planar antenna
Martiš, Vítězslav ; Pokorný, Michal (referee) ; Láčík, Jaroslav (advisor)
The content of this work is a analysis of the project method and a simulation of planar logarithmically-periodic antenna. The simulation verified effects of main antenna-dimensions on her function. Through the use of results was designed acceptable antenna, inclusive of supply circuit. This was remitted to simulation
Antenna for receiving of DVB-T signal
Šmarda, Marek ; Lukeš, Zbyněk (referee) ; Pokorný, Michal (advisor)
The content of this work is to study selected antenna systems suitable for receiving of DVB – T. The various antenna systems will be simulated in the program for the simulation of electromagnetic field (e.g, CST Studio) and the simulation results will be commented (e.g. graphs and diagrams of radiation). Selected antenna system will be made and experimentally measured.
Antenna for television signal distribution in standard DVB-T
Vehovský, Radek ; Kovács, Peter (referee) ; Pokorný, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the analysis of basic omnidirectional antenna systems used for broadcasting in standard DVB-T. Collinear antenna for operating frequency 470 to 862 MHz was designed with the assistance of electromagnetical field simulator CST Microwave Studio.
