The valuation of the company Pivovary Staropramen, a.s.

The main objective of this thesis is to determine market value of the company Pivovary Staropramen, a.s. before the merger. Master's thesis is divided into two parts - methodological and practical. Methodological part includes individual steps a procedures, that are used to total value determination of the company. Practical part of the thesis consists especially of strategic and financial analysis, financial planning and company valuation. There is used the model DCF in variant FCFF to determine the market value. For the comparison there is used the book value method. At the end of the thesis there is performed a sensitivity analysis on value growth.
Financial Evaluation of Investment in Public Railway Transportation

This thesis analysis the current situation on the Czech railways a consequently financially evaluates patterned investment of private sector in this field. It is composed of the Theoretical and Applied part. In the Theoretical part we summarize the contemporary methodological appliance used for investment evaluations. It is an overview of main approaches to the evaluation and the methods of particular variables quantification. The Applied part describes the current situation in the Czech railway public transportation, identifies its key properties and shows general perspective of possible investments. Then using the theoretical caucus we evaluate a fictive business intention in this field.
Financial analysis of company BEL Sýry Česko a.s.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the financial health of company BEL Sýry Česko a.s. in years 2005 -- 2009. To assess the health of the company were used balance sheet rules, ratios of profitability, liquidity, activity and leverage. Also index IN05 and economic value added indicator were used. These individual parts of the financial analysis are at first presented in the methodological part of the thesis and then clearly applied in the practical part. The concluding part is summary of the knowledge obtained from the practical part.

The practical part is then devoted to applications of these instruments for Baťa corporation.

This thesis deals with the evaluation of effectiveness of the investment project "Reconstruction of the fishpond Velký Březský". The implementation of the investment project brings non-financial effects primarily and financial effects only secondarily. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with basic knowledge of financial evaluation using static and dynamic methods, discount rate determination, cost -- benefit analysis and sensitivity analysis. In the practical part, theoretical knowledge is applied to the investment project "Reconstruction of the fishpond Velký Březský". The aim of this thesis is financial and non-financial evaluation of the project and the decision, whether it is acceptable for an investor or not.
Investment literacy czech and slovak students

The aim of the thesis is to analyze financial literacy among students attending universities. I chose a form of questionnaire with open and closed questions and a test about financial (investment) literacy, which contained 10 questions. Afterwards I analyzed the questions a compared them in three different ways. The conclusion contains evaluation and comparison of financial literacy of male and female students studying different Czech and Slovak universities.

The Master thesis is valuating advantages of apartment purchase including its financing against living in rental. Theoretical part elaborates individual phases of investment project valuation beginning with the financial plan and initial investment costs determination and proceeding to valuation itself, e.g. using NPV or IRR methods. Practical part valuates advantages of apartment purchase against living in rental on the specific example based on the form of financing. The work also includes sensitivity analysis elaborating sensitivity of financial models on the key input parameters.

Bachelor thesis evaluates the financial health of the KASKO corporation in the years 2005 - 2009. The first part presents the topic of this bachelor's thesis and the aim of the thesis. The theoretical part describes the financial analysis, its users and sources of information for financial analysis. It also deals with methodological apparatus, such as horizontal and vertical analysis of the balance sheet and profit and loss report, as well as ratios of profitability, activity, liquidity, leverage and summary indexes of ratings, which include Du Pont decomposition of return on equity, Economic value added and Index IN 05. At the beginning the practical part characterizes analysis of the company and then devoted to applications of these instruments for KASKO corporation. In conclusion the results will be summarized and recommendations will be proposed for a potential improvement of the financial situation of the corporation.
