Speech switch for APD system
Hartmann, Lukáš ; Götthans, Tomáš (referee) ; Frýza, Tomáš (advisor)
This work describes design device that is used to connect voice speech lines in underground mines for APD system. Using the device, you can connect up to 60 speech lines up to sixteen independent communication group (circles). Each communication circle can be listen in by the operator, or he can initiate call from control board. Switching of individual lines is controlled using the utility on the computer that communicate with this device via serial port RS-485.

Design of class-D audio power amplifier
Fiala, Roman ; Götthans, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This semestral thesis describes class D low frequency power amplifiers and design of specific 2x100W class D power amplifier. The designed amplifier contains a second order sigma-delta modulator in which the quantization is controlled only by the delay of modulator components. This design does not include the clock generator which usually controls the quantization in sigma-delta modulators. This semestral thesis also includes design of a switched-mode power supply for the power amplifier and for the preamplifier. The PSpice program has been used for the design and verification of some sections of circuits. All designs have been built. Also basic parameters of completed circuits were measured.

Backup power supply with solar panel charging
Křepela, Pavel ; Götthans, Tomáš (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This project aims to create a backup power source with solar charging for small mobile devices (through USB connector). The charger should store power in a battery that is charged either from external power source or the solar panel. In the introduction, the work deals with the theory of solar cells and batteries. Furthermore, it described the selection of suitable components and design diagram.

Camera slider control
Rajnoch, David ; Götthans, Tomáš (referee) ; Mego, Roman (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes design and implementation of stepper motor digital controller that manages camera slide movement. The main elements are microcontroller ATmega16 and stepper motor driver TOSHIBA TB6560. Controller allows a time-lapse mode and continuous linear movement including smooth start and stop. Human interaction is based on joystick input and text display connected via HD44780 interface. The theoretical part describes stepper motors and their control modes. The practical part deals with design of electronic circuit and test of functionality.

Embedded system design
Gábor, Tomáš ; Galetka, Josef (referee) ; Götthans, Tomáš (advisor)
This work deals with application of ARM based development board as platform for remote controlling of attached peripherals. It describes practical experiences with A20- OLinuXino-Micro-4GB development board and it’s available options. Used hardware and testing peripherals are described in the next part along with programming of the software for web interface and for communication in between development board and peripherals. The second half of this document describes design process of own embedded system beginning with schematic, continuing with PCB wiring. Each step of PCB wiring process is described with required details in text, including crucial connections between processor and memory chips. The last part contains details about setting a calibration of memory chips and designing optional peripheral modules.
