Selected issues of nature and landscape protection in Czech law (The mining towers in Microregion Frenstatsko's case)

This diploma thesis deals with a historical development of the nature preservation. Then it shifts its focus to various commitments emerging from the international as well as EU laws. At the international level, the work individually describes several international contracts related to the preservation of natural ecosystems. Within the scope of the European law, the thesis focuses on the realization of the nature preservation, using the system called Natura 2000 and its factual implementation into the Czech law. The text also examines the nature preservation and its impacts in the constitution of the Czech Republic. After a brief introduction to the law no. 114/1992 Coll., on the preservation of nature and landscape, the work in detail analyzes individual categories of general and specific territorial preservation. Finally, the thesis examines the case study on the mining towers in the micro-region Frenštátsko in the context of several questions related to the preservation of nature and landscape.

Legislation on treating animals in human care

1 Abstract This Master's thesis entitled Legislation on treating animals in human care compares Czech and Australian legislation in selected aspects of three categories of animals in human care - farm animals, companion animals and animals used for scientific and other research purposes. The thesis is composed of 5 main chapters. The first chapter describes sources of law regarding treating animals in human care from the perspectives of international law, European Union law, federal Czech law and Australian law. The second chapter explains basic terms - an animal and its legal status and animal in human care in Czech and Australian legislation. The third chapter focuses specifically on farm animals as a category of animals in human care as it is detailed in Czech and Australian legislation. The fourth chapter deals with companion animals in both countries' legislation. Finally, the fifth chapter describes the legal protection of animals used for scientific and other research purposes in Czech and Australian legislation. . GEOMORPHOLOGIC ASSESSMENT IN THE SOUTHERN PART POHORSKA HORNATINA MT. (NOVOHRADSKÉ HORY MT.) USING THE CONCEPT GEOMORPHOSITES

The aim of this thesis is the evaluation of geomorphological sites in the southern part of the Pohorská hornatina Mts. (Novohradské hory Mts.) using the geomorphosites concept and mutually comparsion of locatily assessment. These locations here are represented Kamenec peak , Myslivna peak and Mrzenáč peak. Part of this work is basic information processing about the protection of non-living nature, especially within the geomorphosites concept. This concept is a significant means to protect non-living parts of nature whose protection is still played down compared to nature protection of living parts. Another aim is to develop geopedagogy and geotourism as well. Part of this work is the physically-geographical characteristics of the southern area of the Pohořská hornatina Mts. in Novohradské hory Mts., including sites of interest , to which it is applied evaluation methodology geomorphosites .

Remote control of FPGA-based embedded system

The bachelor’s project looks into the development of a part of Digitizer embedded system. The design is focused on the usage of FPGA-based processor managing the remote control operations and on the achievement of the sufficient bitrate for transmitting data to the ethernet network. The project summarizes used solutions and evaluates their applicability in the developed system. Matching concepts of solved problems are designed properly; in most cases they associate positive properties of used solutions. The implementations of MicroBlaze processor system and chosen modules were performed into the target device and the desired characteristics were measured with successful outcome.

This project designs a new administrative building, which will serve as a municipal office in Postřelmov. The building structure is made as a masonry construction with ceiling construction of prestressed panels Spiroll. The building has two floors and partial basement coverage as well. The building is covered with a flat roof. The building is provided with two sheltered parking lots.

Linear prediciton and cepstral synthesis of speech signal in the TTS system

This work deals with a linear prediction and cepstral synthesis of speech signal in the TTS (Text-to-Speech) systems with the opportunity of modeling the prosody. The work contains a description of speech signal in acoustic and phonetic plane, the principle of speech production and the way we can figure the speech signal in time and frequency domain. Next, there is the TTS block structure mentioned, whereas each block has its own detailed description. In the work, the modeling of prosody using the three most important suprasegmental features (fundamental tone, continuation and speech intensity) is also described. At the end of this work, there is a design and realization of universal Czech TTS system which is based on the speech synthesis in frequency domain. This system is implemented in program MATLAB.
