Ambient Intelligence
Ondruška, Jiří ; Pohl, Jan (referee) ; Jirsík, Václav (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with Ambient intelligence issue. Represents its basic characteristic and demands for its realization. Describes actual stadium in this concept development and shows some present projects. Next focuses on Intelligent buildings issue. In connection with this addresses to so-called human behaviour patterns. Various methods of human behaviour patterns measurement are discussed there. Thesis then focuses on people counting system design, which is based on camera record. Such system represents way of human behaviour patterns measurement. Lastly, the using of this way obtained data is discussed.
Image processing with neural networks
Gróf, Zoltán ; Pohl, Jan (referee) ; Jirsík, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis centralizes on the possible uses of neural networks in the field of computer vision. This work contains basic theoretic knowledge of the field of neural networks and image processing. It discusses how successfully can neural networks be applied through the separate steps of image processing, what kind of neural networks are suitable for these steps, and what are the problems that might appear with their use. The work discusses the fields of classification and image understanding in a more detailed level. It’s shown how the use of neural networks can be appropriate in these applications. An own program was created as part of this work to demonstrate the classification capabilities of neural networks. It’s shown a neural network is created and trained for the recognition of handwritten numbers. The trained neural network was subject to different tests, through which the conclusion was reached, that it works with a high success rate, but is sensitive to changes in the input objects: change of size and location. A number of possible solutions were designed for this problem.
Analysis of Human Signature Based on Artificial Neural Network
Ševčík, Pavel ; Horák, Karel (referee) ; Pohl, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with methods of human signature and its analysis in practical service of artificial neural network. Actual processing and analysis of human signature consist in few steps. First of all, the signature pattern is digitized and processed with the assistance of preprocessing and segmentation methods. Afterwards, the object of human signature pattern is described with the assistance of centric geometric moments and moments invariant characteristics. Finally, the pattern is classified by multilayer perceptron, whose outputs determine the person, to that signature belongs to.
Occupancy grids
Herman, Ivo ; Pohl, Jan (referee) ; Šolc, František (advisor)
This thesis deals with theoretical analysis and practical use of different sensor models for occupancy grids. In the first part was theoretically derived one-dimensional sensor model with Gaussian noise, which was subsequently converted into second dimension. In the second part were compared several of the sensor models: the model by R. Murphy, maps generated by the EM algorithm and also by our implementation of 2D model. Another result of the thesis is computer programme, which allows measurement generating for models in simulated world and incorporating real--sensor data.
Genetic Algorithms
Miček, David ; Pohl, Jan (referee) ; Honzík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis presents description of Genetic algorithm. The description begins with theory of complexity and following basic theory of genetic algorithm. Next part explains the principle of all three tasks – travelling salesman problem, knapsack problem and evolution of algorithm for five-in-a-row. The main focus was on developing the algorithm for five-in-a-row. The results were tested with other similar algorithms from internet. In case of travelling salesman problem and knapsack problem, the results were compared with gradient optimization methods.
Petri nets for expert systems
Million, Pavel ; Pohl, Jan (referee) ; Jirsík, Václav (advisor)
Purpose of this master thesis is description of base parts of expert system with using Petri nets. Attention is mainly concentrate to knowledge base, way of storing knowledge. Next parts are describing main different between production base knowledge for planning or diagnostic expert system from Petri nets view. In this thesis conditions of using Petri nets and way of interpretation knowledge for inference mechanism in planning and diagnostic expert system are described. Using of high level Petri nets and language describing Petri nets structure and behaviour are demonstrated in next part of this thesis.
Proposal of Information System for the Business Company
Pohl, Jan ; Kadlec, Petr (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis deals with implementation of information system in business organization. Its first part is dedicated firstly to description of chosen company with its basic data and history and secondly to presenting the company’s process map while illustrating all of the main and supporting processes’ details. Next two chapters are engaged in analysing the economic situation of the company and its software availability. Following chapter presents the theory of information systems with its current trends and explains the very important terms in the field. After defining the strategic goals of the company, there are new process maps designed as optimal for the company and for the proposed information system. A suitable commercial information system is being searched and chosen according to the set criteria in the last chapter. Lastly the benefits of executed implementation are analysed and growth of effectiveness is measured.
Reinforcement of Company's Competitiveness by Information System Improvement
Pohl, Jan ; Kadlec, Petr (referee) ; Koleňák, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis is about boosting the company’s competitiveness by improvement of its web pages. The first part theoretically describes all main terms and ideas about internet and web applications which are used in the next chapter. Second part is about introduction of the company and its analysis. After detailed analysis providing results for proposals is the main chapter focused on suggestion of new measures and steps how to improve the company’s position on the market. These main steps and whole benefits are summarized in the last part of this thesis.
Character recognition in the soundtrack with SOM
Malásek, Jan ; Honzík, Petr (referee) ; Honzík, Petr (referee) ; Pohl, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis describes a history of neural networks evolution and their using in speech recognition systems and shows problems with working and learning neural networks. It presents three chosen systems for speech recognition including their evaluation in experiments, their advantages and disadvantages. It is also about human speech characteristics and systems of its recognition. The last part is focused on frequency spectrums of different types of vowels and gives instructions for programming neural networks using MATLAB.
