Sexual assistance to disabled people

This diploma thesis deals with theme of sexual assistance to people with disabilities. Its aim how social workers and social service workers looks at sexuality their clients and use of sexual assistance within residential social services. The research was based on semi-structed interviews. Obtained data are dividet into four categories - access to client sexuality, the way of meeting clients sexual needs, viewing at sexual assistance service, the way organizations participate in providing sexual assistance. The research results show that in most of organizations sexuality belongs among the areas of work with their clients. Some organizations perceived certain obstacles that prevent them from effectively opening or developing the topic of sexuality. In differece experience of organizations that work with sexuality in the form intimate assistance bring positive results and have good assumption for the introduction of active sexual assistance. The Social Context of Deaf People Hospitalization

This thesis focuses on the social context of deaf patients' hospitalization. Its aim is to describe the experiences of deaf patients with hospitalization. The thesis focuses primarily on communication, patient rights, awareness, adaptation of deaf patients to the environment and the concept of Deaf Friendly Hospital. The data were obtained by way of semi-structured interviews. The benefit of this thesis is that the hospitalization is described from the deaf patients view not from the medical staff one. The research results pointed to shortcomings in healthcare facilities and in access of their staff to deaf patients. Social business

The aim of the present thesis is to study the factors that affect social entrepreneurship from the perspective of the entrepreneur. The initial review provides definition of key terminology and a summary of the development of the concept of social economics, the relation between social entrepreneurship and social politics as well as that of social entrepreneurship and social work, and the specifics of company management in social enterprises. Ultimately, a review of the present state of social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic is presented. The data for qualitative research was collected during interviews with 12 executives of various social enterprises based in 9 regions of the Czech Republic using the semi-structured interview method. Collected data was analyzed using inductive-deductive analysis. The research focuses on the requirements of providing employment for disadvantaged persons and the prerequisites and drawbacks of running a social enterprise. Specifics of female homelessness

The topic of this bachelor thesis are the specifics of female homelessness. It consists of a theoretical and a research part. The theoretical part intends to provide an overview of homelessness in general. It then deals with sensitive terminology, definitions, typology and causes of homelessness with their relations to the issue of accessible housing. The thesis further focuses on female homelessness - particularly the causes and its specific character which is in no small part rooted in the violence that homeless women are subjected to. At last, the theoretical part describes the system of support and services providing help to people experiencing homelessness, including the services based in Prague aimed solely at women. The research part of the thesis draws conclusions from qualitative research findings and answers the question of how homeless women perceive the oppression and violence against them. Focal point of the research are personal opinions and authentic contributions of five respondents. Variants of support for children in Facility for children requiring immediate help ,,Klokanek"

(in English): Diploma thesis is focused on children, who are in equipments for children who need immediate help. Thesis is focused on the Klokanek center. The goal of this work is to do a list about clients of Klokanek Chabarovicka in years 2009 - 2017 and find support obtions for childrens during their stay.The next goal is to find out thei expectation and perception of Klokanek by social workers. The last goal is to compare first two goals. The end of the research investigation is what was succesfully done. In the theoretical part is basic terminology and is divided into three main chapters - equipments for children who need immediate help and KIokanek, social and legal protection authority and support technology in equipment.Practical part is focused on research results. Research is made of quantitative and qualitative investigation. Methods: document analysis and interviews with social workers. All results were summarized in final chapter. Whole diploma thesis, theoretical and practical part, is focused on the Klokanek Chabarovicka.
Early care for Deaf children

(in English): This thesis focuses on early care in families who have deaf, hard-of-hearing or deafen children. The theoretical part describes the division of hearing impairment and types of hearing examination. The culture of Deaf is described as a possibility of different approaches of hearing parents and deaf parents. Other part is focused on accepting a deaf/hard-of-hearing child into the family and a description of relationships between deaf parents and their deaf children in the contrary of the relationship between hearing parents and their deaf children. The differences in care are discussed in depth. In the conclusion, the possibilities of professional support for families with hearing impaired children are summarised. The empiric part is based on quantitative research in which the families visiting Centrum pro dětský sluchu, Tamtam, o.p.s. (centre for children`s hearing) were given the survey. These families have hearing impaired children or they themselves are deaf. The aim was to find out when they had learnt about the hearing loss of their children and if they had got enough information from the maternity hospital or their paediatrician about both hearing impairment and possibilities of care. Accompanying foster families as a profession

(in English): The diploma thesis examines the system of accompanying of foster families as a profession, which is done by the so called Key workers. The first part of the thesis focuses on foster care, its typology and the overview of foster care benefits. The accompanying system is presented in detail, including a legislative overview and the content of the foster care agreement. The theoretical part specifies the roles, prerequisites and working conditions of the Key workers and discusses the limits of this profession. The aim of the thesis is to find out how these workers evaluate the current system of accompaniment in selected organizations which are authorized to conclude foster care agreements in Prague and Central Bohemia. The empirical part includes research, analysis, and evaluation. Methodology of the research is qualitative and the data is collected by semi-structured interviews.
The Employment opportunities for homeless people

(in English) The following master dissertation deals with the issue of integration of homeless people to the labour market. People who live on the streets gradually lose their working habits, social contacts and motivation to change their situation. The main objective of this dissertation is to map the homeless people's chances of integration to the labour market and the way to try to bring them back to the ordinary life. Their possible integration depends on many aspects, therefore this dissertation considers a huge amount of motivation of the subjects asked and obstacles, which interfere in finding a job. First part of the dissertation is made of a theory with an emphasis on a high rate of desocialization of homeless people and the possible difficulties within searching for a job. It also focuses on considerable types of help and support whilst finding an employment for those people. That should come from different subjects - the government side and so from private organizations. Meeting the Needs of Female Clients of Shelters for Mothers and Children in the Czech Republic

(in English) The rigorous thesis is devoted to the topic of meeting the needs of users of shelter homes for mothers with children in the Czech Republic. It defines the form of residential social services for mothers with children in Czech legislation. It approaches the target audience of the institution and addresses the causes that may have led to the need to find a service. It specifies the most frequently solved needs, problems, deficits of shelter-seekers. The general part deals with social work methods that can be used in direct work with clients during their stay. The empirical part examines the needs of shelter clients from the perspective of social workers. Based on the assessment of the nationwide questionnaire survey, the results are compared with the views of the clients in the form of structured interviews to verify the reality of the data. The research part of the thesis is closed by an analysis of methodical tools for the identification of client needs used in several selected shelters for mothers and children.
