The questions of the homeless and the social services for the homeless in Chomutov and Jirkov

Tato diplomová práce hledala odpověď na otázku: jaké sociální služby a zařízení jsou schopna pomoci osobám bez domova v Chomutově a Jirkově? Bezdomovectví patří k relativně novějším sociálním problémům, objevilo se až se změnou politickou a sociální a s nástupem demokratického systému. Počet bezdomovců je v České republice malý, ale dopad bezdomovectví na osoby bez domova i na celou společnost jsou závažné, a proto je nutné tuto sociální situaci řešit a nenechat bezdomovce bez pomoci. Větší města, kde se bezdomovci vyskytují ve větším počtu, protože očekávají snadnější naleznutí ubytování a práce, se věnují těmto osobám více. Menší města nemají dostatek finančních prostředků na problematiku bezdomovců, potýkají se mnoha dalšími sociálními a jinými problémy a otázku bezdomovců odsouvají do pozadí. Tato práce popisuje problematiku sociálních zařízení a služeb a jejich klientů v bývalém okresní městě Chomutově a přidruženém městě Jirkově Cílem bylo zmapovat poskytované sociální služby a zařízení v Chomutově a Jirkově. Organizace a služby pro bezdomovce byly vyhledány s pomocí internetových stránek, novin, pomocí katalogu sociálních služeb města Chomutova a za spolupráce sociálních pracovníků měst a jednotlivých organizací. Verifying the standadrds of low-threshold facilites for childern and youth in Prague 2006

Předložená bakalářská práce přímo navazuje na výzkum diplomové práce H. Solařové, která se tímto tématem zabývala v roce 2003. Výzkum byl zopakován po dvou letech za užití stejné metodologie. Za tuto dobu se počet NZDM zvýšil, výzkum byl tedy proveden jak v "původních" zařízeních zařazených do výzkumu v roce 2003, tak u nově vzniklých NZDM. Byly zachovány stejné cíle - zjistit jak jsou Standardy NZDM v praxi dodržovány, jestli se k nim zařízení hlásí a co si o nich myslí samotní pracovníci. K těmto cílům byl přidán navíc cíl srovnat získaná data s rokem 2003. Samotná práce je členěna na dvě části, na část teoretickou a část praktickou. Teoretická část je členěna do 10 kapitol a je zaměřena na podrobný popis problematiky NZDM a témata, která s problematikou NZDM úzce souvisejí. Mezi tato témata bylo zařazeno téma volného času z hlediska jeho naplňování dětmi a mládeží, dále problematika dospívání, která se úzce dotýká cílových skupin NZDM a téma prevence rizikového chování, v němž mají NZDM jasné a nezastupitelné místo. Podrobný popis problematiky NZDM se soustředí na jasné definování a vymezení NZDM jako sociální služby, na definování cílové skupiny na niž jsou NZDM Literatura 60 orientována. Possible influence of space on the quality of client's life in residential services for seniors

This thesis deals with the influence of environment on quality of life of seniors living in residential care for elderly. The main source for it was professional Czech and foreign literature and other related updates. The introductory chapter presents definitions of important characteristics of old age and aging, science aimed at this group, supplements and concepts aimed at elderly citizens in the Czech Republic and abroad. The second chapter takes the task of meeting with theories of quality of life, in the context of meeting the needs of the individual. The third section summarizes the definitions of space and its importance in human life. The following factors and that the space in which people live influence. The fourth chapter deals with residential services and their quality. Also deals with the Social Services Quality Standards and Quality Mark project, which focuses on residential care. Research section is intended to evaluate the impact of environment for seniors in their quality of life. Tracks selected areas of significance for the respondents and also satisfaction with their fulfillment. Final summary of research on the basis of the findings suggests points that should be respected in residential care for the elderly.

A development of a child in a homoparental family (in the light of researches)

The study deals with the development of children raised by homosexual parents. First it is focused on introducing the family constitution, transformation of its structures and functions in the modern society, and then on the substitute care for child. Furthermore, the evolution of homoparentality and contemporary attitudes of society towards the current issue are summarized. Main goal of this paper is to monitor the aspects of child's upbringing in a homoparental family and its possible influence on the child especially on the development of the child's identity. Lastly this review study summarizes findings of researches concerned with homoparentality.

Need of support for mothers who have lost a child

The aim of this work is to find out if mothers who lost their child will need any social support from their friends and families. If the mothers find that there is not enough support within their family and friends they will need to turn to the professional social support. This work has been divided into several main parts. The short introduction is followed by theoretic part, all this information had been gained from the professional literature and internet. This chapter is ended by comparing chances of support for mourning parents in the Czech Republic versus Great Britain. The practical part is theoretic piece of knowledge which has been compared to the reality of parents who have lost their child. The part of this is also materials which I gain from four mothers and the psychologist who works with there mothers who have lost their child. The results of this work can not be generalized as I had been working with small group but the gained information show that the psychologist and mothers have the same issues which can be improved. The mothers have a strong need to talk about the death of their child. Just after the death of their child the mothers don't feel enough social support from family as a family is affected with the death as well. The last chapters are a summary of all mine findings.

Social work through the eyes of helping professions

(in English): My thesis refers to social work in hospitals through the eyes of helping professions in the territory of the Prague capital. The thesis is more specifically related to the health-social work which is considered a subdiscipline of social work. The aim of the thesis is to obtain the view of the employees of the assisting professions who work in hospitals on social work and, as such, work of health-social employees. The entire thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part introduces readers to the profession of social work, its ethics and values. This part presents the social worker, his qualifications and job description. Next, it deals with the quality of social work and shortly presents Quality Standards of social services and provides the insight into the historical background of social work. The second chapter deals with social work in the health sector, its legislative framework, health-social worker - his qualifications, job description and competences. The end part of the second chapter provides an inspiration from abroad respectively from the United States of America and Finland. Effectiveness Assessment Options for the "Ve dvou se to lépe táhne" Mentoring Program

This diploma thesis is focused on measurement of effectiveness of the one to one peer coeval mentoring programme "Ve dvou se to lépe táhne" that was designated for youth at risk. The main goal of the thesis is to choose an appropriate way how to measure programme effectiveness and verify the possibility to integrate it with the methodology of the programme. In the introduction of the theoretical part of thesis there are given the definitions of adolescence and changes related with this age, circumstances that threaten youth at risk and the list of programmes, available in the Czech Republic, for youth at risk. Moreover there is introduced the program "Ve dvou se to lépe táhne" and possibilities for evaluation of the programme in particular from the impact on clients point of view. Practical part gives information about the chosen evaluation method and its modification corresponding with particularities of the programme, further describes the implementation stage of the method and finally a pilot version of the modified method on the basis of created questionnaires is assessed.

Burnout syndrome is a condition of emotional exhaustion. Its prevention is very essential for both overall health and effective performance at work. The theoretical part is primarily divided into two parts. In the first I deal with burnout syndrome - its definition, causes, symptoms, stages, risk factors, protective factors and neutral factors and prevention of this phenomenon. The following section is devoted to opposites of burnout syndrome most of which deal with Vigor (enthusiasm) according to Shirom. The next two chapters are explaining research methods to measure burnout and enthusiasm with which I operate in the empirical part of the work. The research methods I use are MBI and SMVM questionnaires. Then I describe work of the LATA organization which became the source of my research. I worked only with volunteers of this organization where I also previously worked as a volunteer. Empirical part then examines the burnout syndrome rate and enthusiasm rate of volunteers from the organization LATA. The possibility of dealing with a trauma of a child in institutional care that has been separated from their family

Thesis deals with the possibilities of treating a child's trauma from being separated from its family and living in the institutions. Thesis is structured into a theoretical and practical parts. Theoretical part describes a child's development in the context of neurobiology, theory of attachment and the need of a child. Next chapters describes child's trauma happening inside of a family and the subseanent loss and separation from the close people during a transition into the institution. This part also outlines the possibilities of recovers from a traumatic experiences. Practical part professes the research, which was implemented throughout structured interviews with the workers and supplemented with content analysis of the internal document of the institution. In the discussion the author concentrated on the topics discovered in the analysis of the analitative datas and on the possibilities of insitution to react on the needs of a child after being separated from the family.
