Differences between HTML-5 and HTML-4
Kupka, Jaromír ; Tichý, Vladimír (advisor) ; Kosek, Jiří (referee)
The Bachelor thesis discusses the problem of HTML, in the concrete it discusses differences between HTML-5, which is getting ready, and HTML 4.01, which is the actual version. The work is separate into two parts -- the theoretical and the practical. The goal of the theoretical part is to find out the actual situation in the development of HTML-5 and to depict the new elements of HTML-5. The goal of practical part is to find out if web browsers are reacting on the new elements of HTML-5 and how do they do it, because web browsers'authors advise the implementation of elements in HTML-5.
Debugging of Programs
Tlučhoř, Tomáš ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Tichý, Vladimír (referee)
This bachelor thesis should be used as a study material for students of introductory courses of programming 4IT101 - Introduction to Programming and 4IT115 - Fundamentals of Software Engineering at the University of Economics, Prague. Whole thesis is about debugging. Theoretical part explains how bugs occur in source code and how to categorize, find and fix them. Several techniques of debugging are introduced with special concern for debuggers, which are essential tools for debugging and nowadays, they're integrated in practically every development environment. Theoretical part can be used as an introduction to debugging issues and it should be useful for students of both courses mentioned above. Practical part of this thesis focuses on description of debuggers in development environments BlueJ and NetBeans. Acquired knowledge should be useful also for programmers using Eclipse because its debugger works similarly. This part can be used as a handbook that helps students and beginners to quickly start using this strong and useful tool.
Finding duplicates in students' projects connected with course 4IT101 on KIT
Voseček, Václav ; Tichý, Vladimír (advisor) ; Pavlíček, Luboš (referee)
This thesis focuses on software source code plagiarism. In the theoretical part there is a description of usual plagiarism techniques. The main output in practical part is the program that checks source codes of Java programs, whether these codes are really developed by individual students independently. It detects two or more students with identical source codes by controlling names of methods and variables.
Design and implementation of a applications to support the reception.
Kovář, Martin ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Tichý, Vladimír (referee)
The goal of this work is to design and implement application for support the student's dormitory reception. For that is needed to analyze processes and needs of receptionists, define requirements and then propose solutions. At first, work is devoted to the analysis of environment and processes, followed by the definition of requirements and their analysis. Next is finding out, if is there appropriate application. Such application is found and analyzed. Missing functionality is replaced by a new application. Design and implementation of the application is described in the final part of the work. The result of the work is an application that can be used along with the found application to service the needs of reception.
Chaotic time-series prediction
Dědič, Martin ; Tichý, Vladimír (advisor) ; Smrčka, Pavel (referee)
This thesis focuses on possibility of chaotic (specially economic) time-series prediction. Chaotic time-series are unpredictable in long-term due to their high sensitivity on initial conditions. Nevertheless, their behavior should be more or less predictable in short-term. Goal of this thesis is to show, how much and if any prediction, is possible by non-linear prediction method, and try to reveal or to reject presence of chaotic behavior in them. Work is split into three chapters. Chapter One briefly introduces chosen important concepts and methods from this area. In addition, to describe some prediction methods, there are outlined which indicators and methods are possible to use in order to find possibilities and boundaries of this prediction. Chapter Two is focused on modifications of FracLab software, which is used for create this prediction. Last chapter is experimental. Besides the description of examined time-series and methods, it includes discussion of results.
NetBeans GUI Builder
Čápek, Pavel ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Tichý, Vladimír (referee)
The goal of the bachelor thesis is to improve reader's knowledge in NetBeans GUI Builder and expand its possibilities of using NetBeans GUI Builder for creating graphical user interface in Java programing language. The readers will be acquainted with some Swing classes and will be showen how this classes work and their properties. Autor uses his own experience from NetBeans GUI Builder and form description -- instruction with a lot of pictures shows a using of every single class. In the end the reader will be better in using NetBeans GUI Builder.
Android operating system
Kolín, Tomáš ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Tichý, Vladimír (referee)
In my bachelor thesis called Android operating system, I describe tools, options and special characteristics of the relatively new operating system for telephones and other portable devices, which is called Android. My thesis is divided into several parts. In the first one, I devote myself to the background of the whole Android project. In the following one, I investigate particular tools, which are developed for programmers to allow or facilitate the development for this platform. The next part, which is also the biggest one, contains actual description of specifics, options and instruments this system offers to programmers to use. In the last part, which is the practical one, I present specifics described earlier using sample application.
Application For Task Management Support
Varadinov, Petr ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Tichý, Vladimír (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the development of an application for task management support in a company environment, in a quality assurance department. The goal of the thesis is to analyze and develop an object oriented design of the application with flexibility and options of use in mind together with a relative simple solution. The sense of aim is to prepare for a fluent and smooth implementation and to put in operation successfully. The development is being led on an agile basis. Basic principles have been taken from OpenUP methodology. The thesis completes the project documentation and brings a very flexible solution of the defined problem, which enables the general conception of the application as a tool for the task management support, not only a tool for the testing support. There are six chapters. The first three chapters introduce the problem definition and its analysis. Chapter 4 deals with the solution design. At the end you can find the summary of the achieved results during the development and project prospect.
NetBeans GUI Builder
Pusiankova, Tatsiana ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Tichý, Vladimír (referee)
This work aims at making readers familiar with the powerful tool NetBeans IDE GUI Builder and helping them make their first steps to creation of their own graphical user interface in the Java programming language. The work includes theoretical description of NetBeans IDE GUI Builder, its most important characteristics and peculiarities and also a set of practical instructions that will help readers in creation of their first GUI. The readers will be introduced to the environment of this tool in general and to its main elements in particular. The work also contains description of standalone components and their functions and use. The description of the complicated components also includes instructions of their application in practice. The work also includes the description of the main steps during use of NetBeans IDE GUI Builder and can be used as a user manual for a beginning user.
Fractal analysis of economic time series
Krýcha, Josef ; Tichý, Vladimír (advisor) ; Smrčka, Pavel (referee)
This thesis focuses on fractal analysis of economic time series. Chapter One introduces fractal analysis as a method of exploring time series and gathers information about progress and current state of understanding in this field. Chapter Two focuses on design and development of computer software, which will calculate selected fractal indices. Chapter Three is experimental and shows the results and discussion of economic time series (popular stock market indexes and currency exchange rate) analysis that have been obtained from the software developed in Chapter Two.
