Hydrodynamic Simulation of Fluid Flow Around the Moving Solid Particles
Havlica, Jaromír ; Trávníčková, Tereza ; Kohout, M. ; Růžička, Marek
The hydrodynamic simulations of the incompressible viscous fluid around the solid particles has been focused on in this work. The hydrodynamic interactions between the moving objects and the fluid were calculated by the immersed boundary method (IBM).

Foucault concept of sidcours and documentary film
Kohout, Martin ; VACHEK, Karel (advisor) ; ŘEZNÍČEK, Martin (referee)
This Bachelor thesis compares ways of elimination which was described by Michel Foucault with ways of elimination in documentary. There are three basic types: taboo of subject, ritual of circumstance and privileged or special right of subject. Documentary like subject of discourse has been meant only in generally. Core of thesis is the way of production documentary. Process of shooting and editing explores how documentary can eliminate (when you show something- you must hide something). Documentary use different ways of elimination than discourse because is based on coincidence and shots which are based on reality (not in the structure of language). Documentary is restricted by society understanding term "documentary" it is simultaneously basic condition for its existence.
Influence of precipitation and temperature in the period 1961–2100 on the possibilities to grow Picea abies in the Czech Republic
Cudlín, Pavel ; Štěpánek, P. ; Macků, J. ; Kohout, M. ; Rožnovský, J.
For environmental risk estimation of Norway spruce ecosystems under climate change, the space means for each „forest vegetation degree“ in the frame of all so called „natural forest areas“ basic climatic characteristics (above all mean daily diameter, daily precipitation sum) and two climatic extremes (number of days with daily precipitation sum < 1 mm, number of days with maximum temperature > 30 oC) were computed. Aggregate typological units, as“forest type sets” and “management types” in combination with “forest stand types”, were used for environmental risk estimation at „natural forest areas“ and whole Czech Republic levels. Endangered forest stands, occurred in given “forest type set”, „forest vegetation degree“ and „natural forest area“ were estimated using comparison of basic and derived climatic parameters between all 5 time period (1961–2099). Measured data from climatic stations were used for the period A (1961–1990) and B (1991–2009); for periods C (2010–2039), D (2040–2069) and E (2070–2099) the data were modeled by climatic model ALADIN-Climate/CZ. This procedure enabled to distinguish all „natural forest areas“ into “warm” ones, which do not meet requirements for ecological conditions of Norway spruce at present period B and “cold” ones which meet them
Pattern Formation and Chaotic Dynamics in a Cross-Flow Catalytic Converter with Kinetics of Detoxification of Exhaust Gases
Kohout, M. ; Hadač, O. ; Havlica, Jaromír ; Schreiber, I.
In this contribution, the range of patterns occurring due to interaction of transport and reactions characteristic of the three-way catalytic converter (TWC) have been explored. We examined whether and how spatiotemporal structures such as spatially nonhomogeneous steady states and travelling waves are produced. Furthermore we found that the system displays a wide variety of chaotic spatiotemporal patterns, which were examined in detail.

An Immersed Boundary Method for Flow Simulations Around Stationary and Moving Rigid Particles
Havlica, Jaromír ; Trávníčková, Tereza ; Kohout, M. ; Růžička, Marek
The main aim of this work was study of the particles motions and interactions by the evaluation of particles positions, velocities and accelerations. It was shown that immersed boundary method is able to successfully describe interactions between particle and fluid, the interactions between particle and particle and interactions between particle and wall. The results were quantitative compared with other studies.

Modelling of Mechanical Interactions of Particles in Disperse Solid-Fluid Systems
Barczi, T. ; Kohout, M. ; Hadač, O. ; Havlica, Jaromír
One of the possible ways for mathematical modelling of mechanical interactions of particles in disperse solid-fluid systems is based on ballistic deposition methods and discrete element methods. In this contribution both of these approaches are examined and discussed their advantages and disadvantages in more detail.

The Great depression in Czechoslovakia - economic development
Kohout, Michal ; Váňa, Daniel (advisor) ; Tajovský, Ladislav (referee)
The world economy has had in the 30th of the last century to deal with the challenge that the world has never seen. It was the Great Depression, which was started by the crash on the New York Stock Exchange in 1929 and had a major impact on functioning of almost all countries worldwide, Czechoslovakia was no exception. This bachelor thesis will focus on the economic impact of crisis on the world's most developed countries of that time. Then the thesis will deal with process of the Great Depression and the impact on the national economy of Czechoslovakia. The most important aim of this work is to find the process of the crisis ,the deepness ,impact on individual sectors and ultimately the grounds of the greatest economic crisis in modern history.
Domain Averaged Fermi hole Orbitals for Extended Systems
Baranov, A.I. ; Kohout, M. ; Ponec, Robert
Current contribution presents the results of DAFH orbital analysis for several simple model systems like hydrogen lattices as well as for prototypic real solids with covalent, ionic and metallic bonding.

Bond Indices in Solids. A Numerical Approach to Analytical Model
Ponec, Robert ; Kohout, M.
To overcome this problem we proposed as a feasible alternative the numerical calculations using the explicit summation over N/2 of low energy states. Such an approach gives for the index between nearest neighbour atoms the value 0.111, which well agrees with the exact value 0.12 reported in the study. This result is very important as it demonstrates that the numerical remedy of the problems with the specification of integration domains does indeed represents a feasible strategy for the calculation of bond indices in solids and examples of the applications to other types of unit cells will be discussed.
