Current approches to teaching music at primary and secondary schools and music theory at art schools

This bachelor's thesis primarily deals with modern approaches in teaching music education at ZUŠ, as well as teaching music education at primary and secondary schools. The first chapter summarizes the basic concepts necessary for understanding the whole system of music education. Here I analyze in more detail the framework educational program of primary schools, secondary schools and art schools, which is the basic building block in the creation of the school educational program of each school. In the second chapter I discuss the issue of enrollment at ZUŠ, where I analyze musical talents and methods of their diagnosis in the context of enrollment at ZUŠ. In the professional literature, enrollment at ZUŠ is mentioned only marginally, so I devoted enough space to this topic in my work. The third chapter deals with internal and external factors influencing teaching and summarizes my perspective on individual aspects of teaching and lessons. I try to present my experiences in a clear way and then pass them on to the reader. I dedicate the fourth chapter to research, establish hypotheses and evaluate the collected data. Pictures at an Exhibition by M. P. Musorgskij as a piano composition representative of The Five generation. Performance comparison.

The present diploma thesis deals with the life and compositional style of M. P. Mussorgsky and the generation of The Five. Subsequently, it focuses on the analysis of Mussorgsky's piano work Pictures at an Exhibition, the circumstances of its origin and its sources of inspiration. In the section devoted to the interpretation concept, this thesis aims to analyze and then compare two selected piano performances of Pictures at an Exhibition, namely the ones by E. Kissin and K. Buniatishvili, on the basis of which it will point out specific features of the concept and way of playing of each of these pianists.
Wallachian folklore music in Music education 2nd grade Elementary School

This diploma thesis discusses options of using Wallachian musical folklore in the education for the 2nd grade class at an elementary school. The first part of the thesis deals with the theoretic information about the Wallachian region in general. It includes facts about folklore, delineation of boundaries, the origin of this region as well as typical costumes and folk architecture. The author focuses on distinctive folk songs, typical musical instruments and dances typical for the Wallachian region. The second part introduces folk collectors, important people and current folk events in this region. The research part examines the relationship and knowledge of the musical folklore and the pupils of the 2nd grade. The author uses a questionnaire method of research. After that, the practical part of this thesis offers a suggestion for Wallachian folklore to become a part of these music classes. An analysis of piano teaching method in Albania and propose of system innovation on piano teaching

This diploma thesis is dedicated to the needs of the piano teaching for kids from 6 to 9 years old in Albania who decide to study piano playing. This work contains a methodology that is based on professional playing starting from middle C to counter hand movement to playing directly with both music clefs, the treble and the bass one. The methodology is inspired by the world's modern methods and needs for the proper development of the child. Contains well-known, popular songs and classical pieces in a lighter version to achieve more easier and fun piano beginnings. The work is divided into five chapters, which introduce not only the musical life in Albania, but also the insufficient conditions for teaching piano. It also contains a selection of the most famous piano textbooks and albums that exist in Albania, which were used before for piano teaching and probably from that time nothing better or improved came out. And last but not least, the aim that is wanted form this work to be achieved is bringing the new ideas and innovation of my own piano methodology.
Music-movements activities in development of musicality at primary school-aged children

The diploma thesis is devoted to the development of music and musical movement activities at a younger school age. It consists of theoretical and practical part. The first parts acquaints the reader with the characteristics of younger school age and with the somatic- physiological, psychological and social characteristics of this period. It also describes the means that affect the child's musicality. This work lists the basic music-movement activities and their important aspects. The conclusion of this part is focused on expertise publications focusing on piano playing,where the authors in their works use movement elements or musical-movement activities to directly improve the influence of playing the piano. The practical part is based on theoretical knowledge. We chose a pedagogical experiment with the technique of one-group and we used piano compositions fot this purpose. The issue of qualitative research is focused on the connection of piano playing with musical- movement activities. There are objectives, research methods, the subject and its organization described in the research part. The application of musical didactic tools for teaching piano at elementary art schools

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of using musical teaching aids in the study of piano playing at music schools up to the 5th year of study. First, it presents individual areas of children's psychological and psychomotor development, in which the author demonstrates the link between children's development and the positive effects of the use of musical teaching aids in teaching. The subsequent focus of the work is an introduction of and a proposal for the use of specific musical didactic aids for the study of piano playing, i.e. in the subjects Piano and Music Theory, in the framework of education at music schools. Attention is paid to individual aspects influencing the functionality of these aids. The results of a questionnaire created and sent to piano teachers are also presented, on the basis of which, among other things, a selection of the described musical didactic aids is based. The thesis was created with the intention of acquainting beginning teachers with a wide range of musical teaching aids. It can help with better orientation in the available materials for pedagogical practice and with a more effective conception of teaching. Interpretative and pedegogical prehension of Bedřich Smetana's Bagatelles and Impromtus cycle

The aim of this diploma thesis is a profound understanding of the compositional intention and interpretation of the piano cycles Bagatelles et Impromtus by Bedřich Smetana. The first part of the thesis focuses on composer's personality and circumstances associated with the origin of this music piece. The second part of the thesis deals with a complex analysis of individual parts of the music cycle and its educational and interpretative grasp. Part of this thesis is an interview with pianist Miroslav Sekera and his view on the interpretation of the work.
