Title: Influencing the success and accuracy of putting stroke using drill exercises Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the influence of specific training conditions (short and long drills) on the success and accuracy of putting stroke of amateur golfers. Methods: Ten amateur golfers participated in this study (age = 35,0 ± 12,9 years; height = 176,7 ± 10,1 cm; weigth = 73,9 ± 17,7 kg; Hcp = 27,7 ± 13,4; game experiance = 4,2 ± 2,6 years). The design of this study consisted of data collection before training, a training session, and data collection after training. Before and after intervention each player made 10 putts from distance of 0,9 m, 1,5 m, 3 m, 8 m, 10 m a 12 m. During 4 weeks of intervention, the research file was divided into two grups (short and long drills). To determine the relationship between parameters success and accuracy, game level (hcp), game experience and training frequency was used Pearson's correlation coefficient (p < 0,05). To determine the statistically significant difference between the pre and post intervention test was used a paired t-test. Results: When evaluating all players together before and after intervention, we found higher success of short putts (by 11 %, p < 0,001) and higher accuracy of long putts (by 15,8 %, p < 0,001). A group of short...

Title: Selected fitness aspects of professional firefighters competing in fire sport and TFA Objectives: The aim of the thesis was to find out the level and the difference in the parameters of body constitution, postural stability and muscular and explosive force of lower limbs with groups of professional firemen competing in fire sport and TFA Methods: The research sample was represented by two groups of professional firemen (17 fire sportsmen and 17 TFA competitors). We assessed chosen parameters of body constitution (Tanita MC-980MA), postural stability (RS Footscan), explosive force (Kistler) and muscular force (Cybex Humac Norm). Assessed parameters of body constitution were percentage of body fat and fatless matter. In the tests of postural stability we assessed total travel way of the centre of pressure (TTW), narrow stand (open and closed eyes) and one-leg stand (right, left). When testing explosive force, overall produced maximal force and height of the leap were assessed. Muscular force was assessed with the help of muscular force moment in concentric muscle activity with angular velocity 60ř·s-1. Results: We found out a significant difference between the two groups in the tests of postural stability - narrow stand with open and closed eyes (F1,32 = 9,94, p<0,01), in the tests of...
Load analysis of golf players
Kunčická, Zlata ; Gryc, Tomáš (advisor) ; Carboch, Jan (referee)
Title: Load analysis of golf players Objectives: The aim of the study was to determine the load intensity of golf players, the comparison between players of different levels and determine the health benefits of the game. Methods: The theoretical part was processed thorough a study of scientific literature. Data were measured by sport-tester Garmin, which were then processed in the Garmin Connect and in Microsoft Excel. Was determined by calculating the maximum heart rate of the individual player and the results were compared qualitatively and quantitatively with the scientific literature. Results: Golf is a light to moderate aktivity of load amounting 62% of the maximum heart rate of the individual. Golf in conjunction with the movement on the field can have a positive effect on humans and prevent lifestyle diseases associated with hyperkinesis. During one eighteen-round of golf player conquers average of 10.5 km and reforge as 70% of the official length of the course. Professional players spend more time reading the terrain and planning launch, so they are moving more. Keywords: golf, heart beat, health, condition, golf field
The relationship between motor performance and body composition in football
Zerzán, Miloš ; Kokštejn, Jakub (advisor) ; Gryc, Tomáš (referee)
Title: The relationship between motor performance and body composition in football Author: Miloš Zerzán Head of work: Mgr. Jakub Kokštejn, Ph.D. Aim: To determine the current level of motor performance and somatotype among football players (9-10 years old). To determine the relationship between motor performance (evaluated by UNIFITTEST 6-60) and somatotype among football players at older mite team (9-10 years). Methods: Total sample was consisted of 25 players who underwent anthropometric measurements to determine the somatotype according to the method of Heath-Carter and UNIFITTEST 6-60 for the evaluation of basic motor performance. Results: It was found that 72 % of the tested players achieved above-average evaluation in UNIFITTEST 6-60. The tested football players had a lower portion of subcutaneous fat considering the physical constitution. In our study we did not find significant relationship between selected indicators of motor performance and physical somatotype. Although the level of motor performance was rather above-average and the value of subcutaneous fat was relatively low, our results suggest that these determinants of individual game performance are not closely related. Key words: motor skills, somatotype, UNIFITTEST 6-60, physical fitness, children, football

Miřátský, Petr ; Gryc, Tomáš (advisor) ; Jebavý, Radim (referee)
Title: Possibilities of influencing the lower limbs force in fire sport competitors Objectives: The goal of the thesis is to find out the level of force and explosive force in chosen fire- sportsmen's lower limbs and to verify the possibilities of influencing its level with the help of a specific plyometric training. Methods: The research group consisted of fire-sportsmen whose level of muscle force and lower limbs explosive force was explored with the help of entrance tests. To find out the level of the lower limbs muscle force we used the Cybex machine, the level of the explosive force was tested on the Kistler force boards. We assessed muscle force of knee flexors and extensors, which was evaluated with the help of the moment of muscle force (circular motion) in a concentric muscle activity at an angular velocity 60ř·s-1 . In explosive force, we assessed maximum force and upward leap height produced. After the entrance tests the sportsmen went through an intervention programme consisting of a specific plyometric exercise. This intervention programme was concluded with an output testing, which was identical with the entrance one and the aim of which was to find out the current level of the parameters assessed. Results: The result of the thesis is a record of a muscle force and a lower limbs...
The influence of variable conditions on golf putting
Brožka, Matěj ; Gryc, Tomáš (advisor) ; Kočíb, Tomáš (referee)
Title The influence of variable conditions on golf putting Objectives The aim of this study was to determine the accuracy of putting stroke in variable conditions. The main objective was to determine if the result of putting stroke influenced by the lenght and slope of the green. Another aim was to determine the effect of the performance of players by golf handicap to result of putting stroke in variable conditions. Methods The sample consisted of 34 golfers (age = 33,8±11,6 years) in the tournament at the Golf Club Český Krumlov. Probands were asked to make 24 putts from different distances and directions. Aftere every putt the position of the ball was recorded on a video camera. Record from each camera was copied to a software TEMA. I evaluated the data in software Excel using the functions of frequency, average, standart deviation, the range. Results Research has found that the result of putting stroke affects the distance from where the ball was played and direction. The highest frequency of made putts was from most shortest putt to the longest and from downhills putts. The smallest average distance from the ball to the hole was from uphills putts, but ball often ended in front of the hole. Keywords Golf, putt, stroke result, distance
The relationship between postural stability and physical activities
Gryc, Tomáš ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Janura, Miroslav (referee) ; Vavák, Miroslav (referee)
In the study "The relationship between postural stability and physical activities", we focused on determining the level of postural stability and the possibility of influencing by appropriate means of exercise intervention in people with increased physical activity and persons with physical limitations. Persons with increased physical activity were top players and players competing in various sports (football, handball, volleyball, golf) and those with physical limitations, patients suffering from diseases that have a negative impact on postural stability (Friedrich's ataxia, autosomal dominant spinocerebellar ataxia, Charlot-Marie- Tooth). Upright posture in stance and movement is a fundamental prerequisite for human bipedal locomotion. Postural stability is the ability to maintain an upright posture, which advises the motor and coordination skills, and its meaning is close to equilibrium abilities. Maintaining an upright posture is ensured by muscle activity, which is controlled by the central nervous system based on information from internal and external environment. Control of postural stability is the primary prerequisite for successful movement and as such it can be developed on the basis of appropriate physical activities. All methods of measuring static and dynamic postural stability can be...
