Business Intelligence performance using Cloud Computing
Huňka, David ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
The target of this bachelor thesis is to verify the effects and risks of Cloud Computing (CC) in the issue of Business Intelligence using a real, working project. The outcome is a defini-tion of the extent at which the effects and risks of CC apply to BI projects and their charac-teristics. I utilize my experiences and knowledge not merely about BI gained during my studies of Informatics at the University of Economics, Prague and also during my praxis as a BI ana-lyst. I reflect these knowledge of mine on common definitions of CC and achieve my already mentioned target. The main contribution of this thesis is a specific view on cloud BI disci-pline based on actual experience. In the introduction I define a few essential theoretical concepts, then I analyse the aspects of CC in BI and in the conclusion I evaluate my findings.
3D Visualization of Products in Industry
Janďourek, Miroslav ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Bruckner, Tomáš (referee)
The theme of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze the use of three-dimensional visualization of products in industry and other branches using the computing technology. The theoretical part introduces the possibilities of using 3D computer graphics, basis concepts and principles that are associated with the creation and use of three-dimensional visualization. The following part is describing the life cycle of the modeled object from its preparation to creation of a comprehensive 3D object. Furthermore there are closely specified the recent trends in this area. In the practical part there is a practical illustration which is based on a real photograph of an empty room. By the use of three-dimensional visualization is demonstrated creation of a fully equipped room for this particular property. Another goal is to verify the hypothesis that the 3D visualization has a positive impact on the marketability of the property.
M-learning and its Audiovisual Representation
Machová, Michaela Mia ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kupec, Michael (referee)
The theme of this bachelor's thesis is to acquaint reader with problematics of m-learning and its audiovisual representation via videotutorials. The main objective and outcome of this thesis is the analysis of several desktop screencasting applications or applications used for creating videotutorials which support the final playback on mobile devices through their integrated features. These applications are evaluated and compared on the basis of predetermined criteria. In conclusion there is a practical demonstration of creating a short lesson in the application that achieved the highest rating under the previous analysis.
Application of object-oriented methodology when designing an information system of the payment institution
Justová, Markéta ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee)
The aim of the Diploma thesis is to evaluate the selected object-oriented (OO) methodology as it was defined by its author, on the basis of defined criteria, whether it is applicable in practice when designing an information system, with a main focus on analysis of the new core banking system supporting key processes of payment institution and Forex broker. Diploma thesis describes selected OO methodologies and notations used in the analysis and design of information systems. Further, it focuses on the evaluation of the real usage of selected method (Unified Process) in the environment of payment institution. It confronts the theoretical definition of a selected OO methodology with its application during the analysis of IS through practical demonstrations created within the case study.
Open source solutions for mobile device management in enterprises
Krejča, Petr ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Gála, Libor (referee)
This bachelor thesis focuses on open source solutions for mobile device management in companies. In a theoretical section, subject is briefly introduced and key terms and principles are defined. Furthermore, open source solutions for mobile device management are identified and their comparison with mostly used commercial products is done. In a practical section, process of installation and implementation of one open source solution is described and its functionality is tested. The goal of this thesis is to find out, whether there is an open source solution, which can compete with commercial products.
Possibilities of image comparison in mobile applications
Jírů, Michaela ; Pavlíčková, Jarmila (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
This thesis is about methods of image comparison. Goal is to create a mobile app that allows user to compare images in real time. In the first part there is a theoretical basis, in particular image similarity algorithms. The practical part contains the app implementation including use case analysis, user interface design and functional requirements. It is followed by source code samples a description of frameworks used. Last part is made of testing the implemented algorithms regarding speed and precision.
