Specifics of grandparent foster care

(in English): The barchelor thesis is focused on the specific aspects of grandparent's foster care. The thesis is divided into teoretical and practical part. In the teoretical part there is a description of foster care in context of substitute family care and social security of foster care. Further is focused only on grandparent foster care, especially on specifics of this type of foster care in comparison with a classic foster care, advantages and disadvantages of this type of care. The practical part, which is realized by a qualitative method, deals with experiences of grandparents, which are compared with experiences of children, now adults, who have undergone foster care of granparent. I will try to map the specifics of grandparent's foster care.
The View of Personal Assistants on Personal Assistance to People with ASD

This bachelor thesis discusses the matter of relationship between personal assistants and clients with ASD. The theoretical section further describes key concepts of thesis, such as the definition of autism spectrum disorder, the characteristics of persons with ASD, personal assistants and the nature of their activities, types of personal assistance and other social services, which aim to compensate for the reduced self-sufficiency of persons with ASD. The empirical part uses a qualitative research strategy, building on data collected through interviews with personal assistants. The aim of the empirical part is to elucidate the relationship between the personal assistant and the client. Social worker in hospice care in the context of difficult situations

(in English): The bachelor thesis deals with the social worker in hospice care. The theoretical part is focused on the definition of hospice care. The second part deals with social work in hospice care. In particular, it focused on theoretical starting points, methods, multidisciplinary team and specifics of communication. The last section deals with the roles, activities and prerequisites of social worker in hospice care. The practical part is realized in the form of qualitative research through a semi- structured interview. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to find out what situations social workers perceive as challenging and hard, whether and how they prepare for these situations and what possible sources of support are available.
Employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the rural region

This thesis oversees the possibility of employment for people with disabilities in the rural region. It introduces specific employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the Chrudim region. It takes into account the perspective of potential employers in the region. While also identifying specific barriers and fears of employers, when they are determining whether or not to employ people with disabilities. The work is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is devoted to: describing people with disabilities, the importance of work in human life, the issue of unemployment, the characteristics of the Chrudim region, and employment opportunities for people with disabilities. In the practical part quantitative research strategies are used and in this particular case, it involved the use of questionnaires. Questionnaires were sent to random employers in the area in the hopes of finding clear and unbiased results. Social rehabilitation of people with intellectual disability

This bachelor thesis deals with social rehabilitation for people with intellectual disabilities. This bachelor thesis is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part contains information focusing on the issue of intellectual disabilities and the purpose of social rehabilitation services. The last part precedes the practical part, which deals with the organization Rytmus Central Bohemia, o. P. S., In which a research survey was conducted. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to find out what potential the "social rehabilitation" have during support of independent life of people with intellectual disabilities. The method of qualitative research was used to solve the main research question. Semi-structured interviews were used for data collection. The interviews were conducted on the organization's premises with a total of five employees of this service. The results of the research show that the service promotes its ambitions during integrative action on the majority society, in order to improve the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities, and that support activities of the social rehabilitation service lead to meeting goals and reducing risks of social exclusion. Depression and its effect on social relationships

The bachelor thesis deals with the influence of depression on social relationships. It focuses on family, partnership and work relationships. The theoretical part describes the basic types of depression and works with professional literature. In the second, practical part, the bachelor thesis opens the issue of stigmatization of people with mental illness and their position in society using semi-structured interviews. The aim of the qualitative research was to find out what effect mental illness has on social relationships. Interviews with social workers from two mental health centers are used at the end of the research. These interviews give an insight into mental illness and working with mental illness from the perspective of social work.
Employment opportunity for disabled people in south region of the Czech Republic

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of supported employment of people with disabilities in the South Bohemian region. Its aim is to describe how social workers, employers' representatives and service users view the current state of supported employment of people with disabilities in the South Bohemian Region. The work also identifies the course of supported employment, its strengths and benefits, weaknesses, threats and opportunities for further development. The research was conducted on the basis of 16 structured interviews. The obtained data are divided into 5 categories - an overview of the current state of supported employment, its course, strengths and benefits, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities for further development. Research shows that social workers, employers' representatives and users perceive the supported employment service as very beneficial and useful in many respects. The strengths of individual respondents predominate, while the weaknesses and threats tend to be in the background. Respondents see opportunities for further development mainly as an extension of the wage contribution period of employers employing persons with disabilities within the supported employment service.
Ensuring personal stability in homes for the elderly in Benesov region

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of ensuring personal stability in selected homes for the elderly, with special focus on the position of a social worker and a worker in social services. The aim of the work is to describe the process of human resources management and its tools aimed at ensuring personnel stability from the perspective of the organization's management. Related to this is the intention to map the causes of fluctuations, the obstacles of ensuring stability and the attitude of the founder to the issue. The work focuses on selected facilities established by the public and private entities. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with a comprehensive description of the home for the elderly service, including its staffing, i.e. mainly social workers and workers in social services, to make it clear how important it is to provide the service sufficiently with them. Furthermore, this part deals with management in the social field, the role of the manager and the human resources management falling within his competencies. Limitation of legal capacity for persons with disabilities

The Master's dissertation entitled Limitation of legal capacity for persons with disabilities examines problematics of rights and obligations of clients in protected housing and housing for people with disabilities. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. Basic concepts that are connected to legal capacity are outlined in the theoretical part. These are followed by the rights and obligations of the client and the institute of guardianship. Concepts of mental retardation and its diagnosis and methods of working with people with mental disabilities are outlined as well. The end of the theoretical part of the dissertation deals with the approach to deinstitutionalisation. The method of qualitative research was employed within the research survey. Data were obtained by the method of questioning and technique of semi-structured interviews. The research sample consists of addressing two facilities with constitutional service and two facilities with community service. The main aim of the practical part of the thesis is to compare how people with mental disabilities are limited by legal capacity in housing for people with disabilities and protected housing with appointed guardians. Psychosocial adaptation to paralysis after spinal cord impairment

Coping with life crisis situations and adapting to them is a topic of great human interest and importance. Sustaining a spinal cord injury with the consequent lifelong paralysis may be considered to be one of the most serious life events due to its devastating and wide-ranging impact on people's lives. Spinal cord injury is a traumatic injury, which typically occurs suddenly and without any warning. Its consequences present an enormous physical, social and psychological trauma which the individual has to confront and come to terms with. The changes caused are life-long and affect every aspect of a person's life. Paralysis leads to wheelchair dependence for mobility. In addition, the individual with a spinal cord impairment may become dependent on others for help and assistance in order to be able to carry out most of the tasks of daily living. All the losses and changes caused by the injury have profound effects on both the spinal cord injured person's social roles and those of their loved ones.
