Obtaining and Processing of a Set of Vehicle License Plates
Kvapilová, Aneta ; Bartl, Vojtěch (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This master thesis focuses on creating and processing a dataset, which contains semi-automatically processed images of vehicles licence plates. The main goal is to create videos and a set of tools, which are able to transform  input videos into a dataset used for traffic monitoring neural networks. Used programming language is Python, graphical library OpenCV and framework PyTorch for implementation of neural network.
Vehicle 3D Pose Estimation form Traffic Cameras
Pospíšil, Ondřej ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Hradiš, Michal (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to create a method for the 3D pose estimation of vehicles from traffic cameras. Existing methods for the car detection and the pose estimation of vehicles are described. Part of the thesis was to build a dataset for the purpose of training and experiments on the proposed car pose estimation method. Proposed method uses a convolutional neural network for regression of the car base in the image. Car pose is then projected into the road plane using homography. Experiments summarize training and the evaluation of the car pose estimation method and accuracy of manual vehicle annotation.
Platform for Development of Rich Internet Applications
Stříž, Martin ; Kajan, Rudolf (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
A Tool for Sharing and Visualization of Skydiving Records
Madaj, Tomáš ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
Purpose of this work is to create a web application which would enable easiest possible 3D visualisation and sharing of uploaded GPS logs. It is intended mainly for aerosports. The application is built on the full-stack JavaScript platform Meteor.js, it features a web user interface and utilizes WebGL library three.js for 3D visualisations in browser. This form allows to achieve intended accessibility and simplicity of usage. The application is a valuable sports performance analysis tool. It brings accurate view of the actual trajectory in the sky where it's otherwise impossible due to the absence of a close visual reference point.
Automatic Processing of Tests Corrected by Hand
Pelantová, Lucie ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is mass processing of exams corrected by hand. The essence of proposed solution is table detection. Structure of table is first detected in sample page, then this pattern is searched in processed page. Corresponding parts of table are used to compute homography. After application of transformation matrix are data segmented and send for handwritten text recognition. The thesis contains evaluation of accuracy for individual system components and possibility of use in practice. Resulting application is supposed to effectively segment data from structured documents.
Moving Object Detection in Video Using CUDA
Horák, František ; Nečas, Ondřej (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods of moving object detection in video; by selecting and applying proper algorithms and implementing them with CUDA. Technology CUDA is described and wieved it's architecture and other parts. General principles of moving object detection are observed and modification are discussed. Final system is implemented and tested.
Optimization of LAMP (linux/apache/mysql/php)
Lamoš, Igor ; Jošth, Radovan (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The goal of this work is to summarize and verify the fundamental factors affecting performance of Linux operating system, Apache web server and performance of MySQL database system and PHP. This work contains important settings for each part of webserver with corresponding description. Where possible, there are perfomance tests made on the model application and the results are reviewed. Based on the tests results, the recommended settings list was assembled. Accuracy of this recommendations was verified by applying the settings to real-world applications. In both cases, there was performance improvement.
Distributed System for Control and Visualization of Industrial Process
Klvaňa, Martin ; Řezníček, Ivo (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The thesis describes the development of system for control and visualization of industrial process created for a company producing silicon wafers. The main benefit of this system is improving operator working ergonomy with the designed user interface. This is why the thesis also discuss good principles of user interface design. The application tries to take full advantage of ModernUI user interface, which is used in this application. The thesis describes designing architecture and implementation, rates operator feedback and summarize application deploy and her future improving.
Entertaining Mobile Application for Place, Age and Education of a User from His Voice
Szuchan, Patrik ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
The first part of this bachelor thesis is aimed at the research of applications available on the market, from which were functions chosen for future implementation. Later, the main goal of the thesis was chosen along with the application based on the target audience. The basic required functions of the game were described and user interface with screens was developed. Next part of the thesis deals with the use of technologies used in development, which were Android, Firebase and Material design. The implementation of each functionality was explained and the process of authentication, data saving and the game itself were analysed. The releasing procedure of the game was described along with tests of application. The outcome of the thesis was evaluated and future improvements for the game were suggested.
Preview of Wall Color by Augmented Reality in a Smartphone
Vagala, Dominik ; Bambušek, Daniel (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design and implement a mobile application for Android, that allows user to change colors on a wall using augmented reality. The user can try different colors directly in the room where he is located and then decide which color he likes best for painting the walls. Sobel edge detector is used to detect wall boundaries, where the bounded section of the wall is filled with color using a modified Queue-Linear Flood Fill algorithm. The 2D coordinates where the user clicked on the wall are roughly converted to 3D coordinates in space. These are then tracked using the ARCore library, so that the wall remains colored even when the user moves around the room.
