Reconstruction of the Hranice weir
Křenek, Tomáš ; Uhmannová, Hana (referee) ; Julínek, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis is the modification of the existing weir structure in Hranice on the river Becva at river kilometer 38,300. The first part is a search dealing with the topic of weir structures. In the second part, the locality of interest is first described. Then there is a mention of the historical development riverbed of the Becva and the original fixed weir, which goes on to describe the existing weir structure. Subsequently, the individual reconstruction proposals were evaluated and the most suitable variant was selected, including the choice of the type of substructure construction, movable valve and the fish pass. Last but not least, hydrotechnical calculations were performed, witch also contain a partial calculation of the stability of the proposed structure.
Design of Inflatable Weir in Oslavany
Kocman, Tomáš ; Moronga, Jan (referee) ; Uhmannová, Hana (advisor)
This thesis describes the current state of the river Oslava in Oslavany design and reconstruction of the existing fixed weir in the affected location. As a best alternative reconstruction of the existing fixed weir reconstruction was chosen the hard threshold floating weir inflatable weirs. The next part of the thesis describes the proposed solution, and the last part of the thesis deals with the assessment of the proposed solutions.
Design of weir reconstruction in Oslavany
Němcová, Denisa ; Smelík, Lukáš (referee) ; Uhmannová, Hana (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with a design of the reconstruction of a smixed weir on the Oslava river in Oslavany town. The introduction describes the site of interest and the the occurrence of ice events. There are several types of fish ladders described theoretically. Further on in the thesis there is desribed the state of the objects on the flow and the state of the river basin in the area of interest of Oslava river. Next part of the thesis deals with the design of a movable baying structure (a hollow flap) and fish ladder type bypass channel. An impact assessment of the current and newly proposed weir on flow in the HEC-RAS program was carried out. The project also includes the basin adjustment in overweir and an evaluation of the stability of the newly designed construction.
Assessment of the Options of Increased the Flood Protection
Adam, Karel ; Golík,, Pavel (referee) ; Uhmannová, Hana (advisor)
The work deals with the assessment of the stream Chribska Kamenice current state in the village Vsemily urban area. The aim of the project is the assessment of capacity and the current state of the stream-bed. Based on an assessment measure there has been designed the improvement suggestion of the current state and flood protection increasing in close neighbourhood.
Assessment of the water flow in the Odra river basin
Mláděnka, Jakub ; Vysloužilová, Lucie (referee) ; Uhmannová, Hana (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe and evaluate in detail the current state of the Luha river and the objects connected with it, in the interest section – river kilometer 0.000-2.853 in the cadastral area of the Jeseník nad Odrou. Part of the work is to assess the capacity of the river flow in the locality and to propose ideological measures that would increase it to the design value of the 20-year flow. The calculation of the flow rate is performed by using the 1D mathematical model HEC-RAS for selected N-year flows. On the basis of the results of the flow rate, the assessment of the capacity of the channel and the objects in the solved section, two variants of continuous river basin adjustment are proposed to improve the current state of the channel and to increase the flood protection of the neighboring area.
Design of methodology for determining roughness coefficient of open channels
Smelík, Lukáš ; Havlík,, Aleš (referee) ; Šoltész,, Andrej (referee) ; Uhmannová, Hana (advisor)
Determination of immeasurable parameter, the Manning’s roughness coefficient, is a complex problem of open channel hydraulics for more than 200 years. Now it doesn’t exists a method for determining an exact value of 1D roughness coefficient for computation water levels in watercourses. Doctoral thesis is focused for comparing different approaches to determine a roughness coefficient, especially for empirical equations. It were sought empirical equations, which are suitable for wide spectrum of water stages, types of bed material, channel shapes and channel dimensions. Selected equations were sorted on the base of two methods by the best values of medians and standard deviations of measured and computed values of roughness coefficients. Furthermore, it were compared qualities of roughness coefficient determination by tables, by photographic catalogs, CES software and by Cowan’s method, which has been extended and recalibrated. The computed values of roughness coefficients by those four methods were compared with values from own measurements in 27 locations in watercourses near of Brno and Frýdek-Místek. Also it were compared the grain size curves determined by sieving, by Wolman’s method and by Subjective estimation. Doctoral thesis is marginally focused for beginning of sediment movement, roughness coefficient of bedforms (dunes), grass and trees.
River trainning design of the Valšská Bystřice river in Bystřice
Mašek, Jan ; Uhmannová, Hana (referee) ; Julínek, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with the evaluation of river capacity and regulativ of river imide the village Valašská Bystřice. For making a model of part of interest was used computational program HEC-RAS. In the next part was developer theoretical suggestion and its assessment in chozen endangered localities through the lenit of the area of interest.
Sedimentation reservoir on the stream Kuřimka
Holá, Lucie ; Julínek, Tomáš (referee) ; Uhmannová, Hana (advisor)
The goal of the bachelors work is a proposal of sedimentation tank on Kuřimka in the cadestral area of Moravské Knínice. In calculations there was made capacity of addressed section and calculation of levels for thirty-days water and selected N-year flow. One of the chapters was dedicated to evaluation of vegetative suite. For calculations there was used one-dimensional mathematical model HEC-RAS 4.1. Determination of roughness of bottom and slopes was based on personal visit. The result is determination of capacitive flow, evaluation of current state and proposal of sedimentation tank on the chosen estate. Bachelors work can be a contribution to another sedimentation tank in the area of Brněnská dam.
Gate weir design
Betlach, František ; Uhmannová, Hana (referee) ; Julínek, Tomáš (advisor)
The Bachelor Thesis deals with the study of the existing uncontrolled weir on the river Svitava in "Cacovice island" locality and with the design of a new gate weir structure. The first part focuses on the processing of data on the area of interest and the selection of appropriate design solution for the reconstruction of the weir, where there are described several types of adjustable shutters. At the end of this part the current condition of the buildings and the bed of the Svitava river in the area of interest is evaluated. In the second part, the Thesis deals with the design of the gate weir structure and its subsequent assessment. At first, the solid substructure and the height of the shutter is designed and assessed. Subsequently, the stilling basin is designed and in conclusion, the overall stability of the designed structure is assessed.
Assessment of the Status of a Watercourse in the Basin of the Morava River
Zelíková, Gabriela ; Bajza, Rostislav (referee) ; Uhmannová, Hana (advisor)
Assessment of the status of a watercourse in the basin of the Morava river This thesis deals with the assessment of Rusava watercourse in urban area of village Rusava in Zlín region. Area of the interest takes place from RK 26,000 to 28,230. Channel revetment was badly damaged by floods in July 2011. The assessment of the current state of the watercourse was based on personal visit of the place and taken photos. Work assessment channel stability of the riverbed as it was originaly projected in particular section RK 26,000 – 28,230. Current state of the section was modeled in HEC – RAS 3.1.3 software.
