One - year Student Edition of ArcView 9.2 and its extensions have been provided by ARCDATA PRAHA, s.r.o. Noise maps are created from measured data in the neighborhood of the faculty building and the Moravian Square in Brno. Measurement of geographic position of measuring points is realized by GPS. For creation of noise maps, analysis and processing of measured data ArcGIS extensions - Spatial Analyst and Geostatistical Analyst were used. The last part of this Master’s Thesis is specialized on creation of 3D landscape model using ArcGIS 3D Analyst extension.
FIELD II - modelling of the ultrasound field
Štrbík, Jiří ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis presents the way of modelling the ultrasonic field with FIELD II package implemented in MATLAB 7 enterprise. The first part of the thesis provides the theoretical information about supersound. It describes the main properties of supersound and the processes that composse ultrasonic pulse. The principle and the significance of Doppler effect is also cleared up in this section. Finally, this part deals with ultrasonic probes, with their subdivision and their main parameters. In the second part of the thesis the FIELD II package is described. This part provides the information on the installation of the package and about the usage of the functions for modelling the ultrasonic field. This part also shows examples that illustrate the utilization of the package for teaching purposes.
HC08 Microcontroller Development Kit
Hájek, Ondřej ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Čížek, Martin (advisor)
Presented bachelor degree programme is aimed on design and implementation of a development board for Freescale HC908QB8 microcontroller from HC08 family. The board will allow the user to test a variety of typical microcontroller applications including temperature measurement, intelligent LCD interfacing and I2C bus communication. The development board can be programmed using universal DBG08 serial programmer. Care was taken to minimize the probability of an accidental misconnection causing potential damage to the circuit, which makes the device suitable for educational purposes.
Jiří Wolf Measurement of the properties of ultrasound system
Wolf, Jiří ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the displaying process evaluation from the resolution capabilities of the ultra-sonic probe point of view. As a part of the thesis a method for measuring the response from point spread function (PSF) and method for measuring the response from linear spread function LSF were designed. Collected data were processed in the Matlab environment. Basic evaluation parameters of the space resolution capabilities were set and used – axial, lateral and traversal resolution.
Renewal of the fleet in chosen company
Čížek, Martin ; Rathouský, Bedřich (advisor) ; Vondráček, Petr (referee)
This Master´s Thesis focuses on the issue of renewal of fleet in Deblice-lesy, s.r.o. company. The aim of this thesis is selection of suitable semitrailer combination for transportation of long timbers and also selection of truck for transportation of ACTS containers for transportation of firewood, which will correspond to the selected criteria. Selection will be realized by using TOPSIS method. Theoretical part focuses on issues of business in road transport, trucks and combinations in road transport and limits of their dimensions and weights. It also describes some methods of multi-criteria decision making. Practical part focuses directly on selection of suitable semitrailer combination for transportation of long timbers and also selection of truck for transportation of ACTS containers according to the defined criteria. One of the aims is also mapping of the market and choices which exist when selecting combination for transportation of long timbers.
SMV-2015-38: Theoretical study of laser source for precise optical frequencies distribution
Hrabina, Jan ; Pravdová, Lenka ; Čížek, Martin ; Pham, Minh Tuan ; Hucl, Václav ; Řeřucha, Šimon ; Číp, Ondřej
The contractual project was oriented to theoretical study of design of ultra-stable laser source for precise optical frequencies long-range distribution through standard telecom optical fiber links. The research included theoretical investigation of possible optical setup arrangements with selection of optimal spectroscopy methods for the laser source frequency stabilization, special care was taken about ultra-high coherence of the laser needed for long-range distribution of the transmitted signals (hundreds of kilometers long links). The stabilization method was selected with respect to metrological traceability of the intended applications. The proposed optical system was compared to up-to-date available laser sources working at other wavelengths and crucial spectral and frequency stability parameters were summarized and compared. Proposed laser spectroscopy method and optical setup was experimentaly evaluated at laboratory environmental conditions and resulted stability/spectral parameters were summarized.

Semiconductor lasers are nowadays very convenient and suitable for many applications in field of human activities. Mainly it is thanks to their small size, low cost and high energy efficiency. This work deals with frequency stabilization of DBR diode laser working on 633 nm and the measurements of its noise properties. For this purpose we have chosen DBR diode EYP-DBR-0633 from Eagleyard Photomic. This particular laser diode in temperature range from 6 degrees celsius to 24 degrees Celsius has a tuning range of 0,86 nm, which correspond to change of 650 GHz in optical frequency domain. In this paper we also present methodology and results for frequency noise properties investigation of this laser with unbalanced Mach-Zhender interferometer and 10 m long fibre spool inserted in reference arm.
Reference points distance measurement
Jedlička, Petr ; Čížek, Martin ; Staš, Lubomír ; Malík, Josef
The device is developed for measuring the deformation of natural and artificial underground spaces, especially active mines. The deformations are derived from LIDAR distance measurements of network of reference points. Each reference point consists of steel rod embedded into wall and stainless steel ball as reflector. The LIDAR is placed in a precision adjustable 2-axis mount and which can be fitted to any reference point. The system is portable, battery powered. Part of the system is software allowing reading and processing LIDAR measurement data. The measurement is usually started immediately after excavation, and then go on as long-term monitoring after the completion of the construction or mining activities.
Digital signal synthesizer for compensating Doppler effect in fiber-optic lines
Hucl, Václav ; Čížek, Martin ; Pham, Minh Tuan ; Pravdová, Lenka ; Číp, Ondřej
If a highly stable laser standard is distributed over a long fiber-optic line the stability of optical frequency of the laser at the far end is usually degraded due to external influences on the optical fiber. Thermal dilatation or vibrations of the fiber result in Doppler shifts changing the optical frequency of the laser light. A setup based on an unbalanced Mach-Zehnder or a Michelson interferometer with the optical line acting as a measuring arm can be used for detecting Doppler frequency shifts. Once we are able to detect the shifts we can compensate them by detuning the optical frequency of the transmitted laser light in a closed-loop. Our paper presents the method of detecting the frequency shifts in the fiber-optic line together with a digital electronic controller. The controller is based on a digital signal processor and a DDS chip for generating the radiofrequency signal driving the acousto-optic modulator in order to detune the transmitted laser light.
