Development of partner forms in the Czech Republic: trends and patterns

The objective of this study is to create comprehensive overview of the development of partner forms in the Czech republic from 1961 to 2016 and their own analysis. This thesis is divided into two parts, where the first part deals with analyzes of individual partner forms, namely in the form of analysis of primo-nuptiality, especially from generation perspective, analysis of divorce rate, analysis of marriages of divorced and analysis of cohabitation. This diploma thesis is so independently connected to my bachelor thesis, using the same primo-nuptiality life tables which had been calculated by a uniform methodology for absolute mutual comparability. These life tables, supplemented by another two years, were also used here to calculate the indicators in the already mentioned generational view of primo-nuptiality. The second part of this thesis is then devoted to the analysis of the International Social Survey Programme for the Czech Republic, focusing only on the part of the Family for 1994 and 2012 and their mutual comparison and transitions. The status of women on the labour market and motherhood The main objective of this thesis is to analyse the position of women in the labour market in selected countries representing different models of family policy. The analysed countries are the Czech Republic, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom. As first step, there are introduced conditions for the reconciliation of work and family life in selected countries and in the context of legislative of European Union. As second step, there are analyzed the level of fertility and the position of women in the labour market. There are also examined impacts of reconciliation of work and family not only on reducing the impact of parenthood on women's employment, but also on the level of fertility. The last part of this thesis deals with the evaluation of the respondent's opinions from International Social Survey Programme 2012 by average scores and binary logistic regression. Topics of analysed questions are the employment of mothers with young children and the division of roles in the family. The results confirmed that in countries with better conditions for the reconciliation of work and family there are smaller impacts of parenthood on women's employment also there are higher fertility rates. The impact of demographic changes on the real estate market Abstract This diploma thesis monitors changes in the demographic behavior of the population of the Slovak Republic and their impact on the real estate market. The aim is to analyze consumer behavior on the demand side for residential real estate. Within the population development of the Slovak Republic between 1990 and 2060. The purpose of the analysis is to construct the function of the demand for residential real estate in the Slovak Republic. Which expresses the impact of demographic changes on demand for housing. The model reflects changes in demographic behavior of the population into quantitative and structural changes in residential property demand. We expect that despite the uncertainty of the uncertainty, the forecast for residential property demand is high inertia. This stems from the stable age structure of the population. We assume that the period of the next sixty years will be characterized by a change in the trend of population growth and the continuous aging of the population. Impact of migration on the age structure of the population of Mlada Boleslav in the second half of the 19th century

Main aim of this master thesis is to found out if the migration influenced age structure of population of Mladá Bolesv in second half od 19th century. Data of marages used in this paper are based on register of Mladá Boleslav in set period. The thesis is divided into two parts, first consist of development of Mladá Boleslav city, data source, methods used to analyse said data and basic theories. Second part is focused on the analyzing the structure of population based on age and gender, geografical mobility, occupation and seasonality of marriage. Regional comparative analysis of mortality from selected diseases in Czechia and Sweden during the period 2001-2015 Abstract The aim of this thesis is analysis of the regional population mortality development due to two the most frequent groups causes of death related to the both sexes in Czechia and Sweden during the period 2001-2015. Standardized mortality rate is used for the assessment of mortality development in the monitored period. Two the most frequent causes of death for both sexes during the period 2001-2015 in Czechia and Sweden were cardiovascular diseases and neoplasms, which represented over half majority of all death causes. There was a significant mortality rate decline in case of both sexes in Czechia compared to Sweden in the reviewed period, however the standardized mortality rates were lower in the whole monitored period in Sweden. The most significant mortality rates decrease for both sexes in Czechia and Sweden was reported in case of cardiovascular diseases. Larger interregional mortality differences due to malignant neoplasms and cardiovascular diseases were registered in Czechia. Population development in the political district of Kutná Hora in the period of 1880-1910 Abstract This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of population development in the political district of Kutna Hora during years 1880-1910. The political district of Kutna Hora was divided in two judicial districts - Kutna Hora and Uhlirske Janovice. The area of Kutna Hora belonged to the Czech regions where changes of ongoing demographic revolution were implemented very soon. This was thanks to the district town where more job opportunities in industry and services occurred. The judicial district of Uhlirske Janovice belonged to the regions oriented more on agriculture. Handcraft and glass industry were traditional for the villages in this region. Composition of Population, Families and Households in Chodsko at the End of the 19th Century Abstract The knowledge of historical life of population is very important. This thesis is historical-demographic research of Chodsko in the second half of the 19th century. The main aim of this thesis is to compare the composition of population, families and households. The chosen data were for years 1869, 1880, 1890 and 1900. The years when the first censuses were taken in Czech Lands. Population, families and households were analyzed separately using historical-demographic, demographic analysis and statistics methods. The results showed that inhabitants of Chodsko were not so different from the inhabitants from the rest of Czech Lands. The most common were patriarchal nuclear households. Families were mostly about average size with two to four members. Hypothesis that the countryside population had more family members was not confirmed. The relationship between religion and reproductive behavior in demographic perspective Abstract The aim of this thesis is to provide a deeper discussion of the relationship of religion to reproductive behavior at the theoretical, methodological and practical level. The secondary objective is to introduce a recently formed branch called religious demography. The main part of the thesis is of a theoretical and methodological character, and is built on the comprehensive elaboration of the foreign literature, which is dealing with the theme of religion and reproductive behavior. In the first chapter, the latest processes and changes that occur on the religious scene and difficulties associated just with the research in this area are described. The second chapter is dealing with general methodological problems, which are mainly related to the operationalization of religion and the availability of data needed to examine the relationship of religion to reproductive behavior. The third chapter then presents two demographic prospects, which reveal two different ways of relationships, showing how to deal with the religion and the demographic reproduction. Structures of population in Rakovník town at the beginning of the 20th century Abstract The purpose of this thesis is to analyse and describe the structures of population, families and households in the central bohemian town Rakovník at the beginning of the 20th century. The thesis is based on the data from 1910 and 1921 censuses. The data was excerpted from the census sheets. The work is divided into 10 chapters. It focuses on demographic, social, ethnic and economic charakteristics of the population. The place of birth is analyzed and the structures of families and households are also studied in detail. The results show how big was the impact of the first world war on people in Rakovník. The sex-age structure was changed between the analyzed years. Also changes like the aging of population and increase of the proportion of widoved persons were registered. Fertility and preschool childcare in the Czech Republic and chosen European countries Abstract The objective of this study is to compare level of fertility and accessibility of childcare in the Czech Republic and chosen countries during period 1998-2014, and also to evaluate Czech Republic among chosen states. Furthermore aim of this study is also to evaluate whether the Barcelona Targets in childcare are in the chosen states met. Countries for this study were chosen on the basis of typology of family policy, they include France, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Portugal and Austria. Data used in this study are primarily from the Human Fertility Database, Eurostat Database, and OECD Family Database. For analyzing fertility and accessibility of childcare are used mainly indicators of the total fertility rate, decomposition of general fertility rate and enrollment rates in pre-primary education. Moreover indexes summarizing key features of family policies and preschool childcare are computed for year 2011. In the context of level of fertility two groups of countries are defined. France, the United Kingdom and Sweden are countries with higher level of fertility while Austria, Portugal and the Czech Republic are countries with lower level of fertility.
