Hoangová, Nikol ; Strouhal, Jonáš (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
In my diploma work I am dealing with topic of work in one of the world's largest global retailer on the internet - Amazon. In 2015 Amazon opened a new fullfilment centre in Dobrovíz near Prague. Through the statement of one of ex-employee I discovered what it means to work for one of the richest man in the world (2019) - Jeff Bezos. These working conditions I've decided to demonstrate on platform AmazonExperience which consists from e-shop that contains artworks - that apeears as products. They are mostly inspired by company's slogans, stereotypes of work, experiences of Amazon's system and strict or unwritten rules.
The Union of Minds Remains Untainted
Kachlíková, Barbora ; Hodboď, Tomáš (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
The subject of my bachelor work is serie of different size paintings, used technique is oil on canvas. Iam interested about an elusive moments - this interest is connect with technique of painting - "blurry" paintings. The inability to stand on spot, what is now, it is past. My biggest inspiration and subject of my interest is contact with people. Experiences and feelings of everyday. I love the life and I feel a deep need to paint it.
Abstract Drawing
Nováková, Bára ; Zapletal, Aleš (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis consists of five large-format charcoal drawings on paper. The central motif is transformation, its possibilities, forms and ways. The drawings show constant movement and transformation, living matter, the ruling force inherent in the natural elements. The bachelor thesis has an imaginative character and works mainly with abstract morphology. But even though the drawings are abstract, I purposefully work with them in the spatiality and light modeling of objects, as with real things. In a way, the drawings illustrate the processes during which things take shape.
Kamikakushi
Pejchová, Natálie ; Ptáček, Jiří (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
The term kamikakushi is an old Japanese traditional technique of magical abduction (spiritual travel, where one's attention is taken from the normal state of consciousness to the deeper layers of perception of reality), in which the victim does not recall the abduction. I borrowed this term from Japanese mythology, which is used in stories for kids. In our meaning it could be understood as forgetting myself / not being witty in everyday life is a breathless journey to imagination. The boundary between exploring the facts, real but also starring into nowhere, where the spaces begin to come to life by themselves only, because we decide to attach importance to it. It is the moment when restlessness awakens, making the noise rumbling in that empty silence. I connect with space, I am the nature reference, I am a dialogue, a mirror. This state of perception, experience of reality is for me an important source of imagination. It is a state in which painting takes place. Reality becomes magical when we turn our attention to it and empty it at the same time from notion. Emotion is the primordial sign of perception, creating an atmosphere of its use is the idea of reviving is the search for an image.
Desire
Bačíková, Alžběta ; Baladrán, Zbyněk (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
Main theme of bachelor's project is rooted in the text considering the wandering subject and his will to penetrate through the barriers and boundaries. Object is not that towards which desire tends. It tends towards the unattainable. It leads to the invention of an imaginary world which is full of twists. Work is based on vizualisation of thoughts. It consists of two phases. In the first part - drawings has been collected as the basic material. Subsequent diagrammatic organization displays the internal connections between particular drawings. The result is 3D diagram which is constructed from wooden laths.
Soloomons Daughters
Brůčková, Kamila ; Prokůpek, Tomáš (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
The Solomon's daughters comic brings a new concept to the topic of witch-hunting. It is situated in the period before and during World War II, consciously working with associations with the time that is only mediated by literature and film to most people these days. Although some topics concerning humanity and cruelty are still emerging, we perceive this period with a certain distance and a comprehensive evaluation. And precisely because of how clear and familiar the facts are, we can now afford to work with the environment and that time mostly as a backdrop that offers us certain opportunities for story development and aesthetic integrity.
In dust we trust
Rujbr, Kamil ; Opekar), Ondřej (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
Through the papers and canvas I tell the story of everyday addiction that surrounds us. I start from my personal feelings and suck the atmosphere of the city and places from the edge of society. This theme is presented in the form of abstract drawings and paintings, in which certain phases and processes are displayed. I capture chaos in new forms so that the image, even within the technologically advanced and in all directions of the expanding visual culture, does not lose the liveliness, sense and critical justification for its further existence. The paintings and drawings are a visit to the world of people who are not the majority of the world and are all in a way lonely and lonely in their own way.
The Identity of an Art Object Determined by Academic Environment Serving That Purpose
Jelečková, Olga ; Pospiszyl, Tomáš (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
I show the view that the world is a game by reducing the modeled situation.
Time
Grúňová, Nina ; Nálevka, Jan (referee) ; Rathouský, Luděk (advisor)
Directions, where my practical part of thesis lead me, is preset moment "now", its understanding in different disciplines and also empiric examination of collision between the time of inside quality and time, which has set independent scale into our world - chronological time. Motive for choosing such topic is mainly my own experience, but it is also reaction to contemporary tendencies in art scene, which (by my opinion) are turning away from present. The outcome of this interest is a video Uchopit okamžik/hold the moment ( 08'30 '' , 2016) filmed at studio keying screen accompanied by audio commentary. The second video Natáhnout okamžik/extend the moment ( 01'00 '', 2016) is a video recording of my own experience with time. I came out from my own experience and also resources and nonfiction of the phenomenological texts by authors such as Emmanuel Lévians or Jan Sokol.
