Follows the aplication part based on theoretical background. The whole project of this master thesis is focussed on specific area called PC store. At first this area is showed in context of overall material flow. Shortly there are introduced processes and areas where full material packaging flows. Follows deeper analysis and optimalization of PC store itself. There are three approaches of stock and lead time reduction applied. Last part shows the comparison of initial and future state including performed changes.

Evaluation of warehouse workers productivity
Štěpánková, Anna ; Jirsák, Petr (advisor) ; Čech, Peter (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to create a new system to measure and evaluate the productivity of warehouse processes in Euromedia books wholesale warehouse. The Warehouse management system (WMS) is implemented in the warehouse, so the company has information about processes within warehouse. However, the system does not have any tool to measure and report the productivity of individual workers and shifts. So the manager of the warehouse does not have enough data for efficient human resource management. The basics of warehousing and the warehousing interrelationships are described in theoretical part of the thesis. The processes within warehouse are firstly described in general and then with direct connection to processes in the warehouse of the company Euromedia. The analytical part is dedicated to detailed analysis of output data from WMS from the time period from February until May 2015.The outcome of this analysis is a suggestion how to assign individual workers to shifts, how to measure the productivity of individual processes and how the productivities of different processes can be compared. At the end of the thesis, there are recommendations how to measure the productivity now and how to proceed in the future to achieve a more precise outcome of the productivity measurement. The proposed measures contribute to better and more efficient human resources management in Euromedias wholesales warehouse.
Optimization of logistic processes in a specific organization
Kubát, Michael ; Říhová, Zora (advisor) ; Jirsák, Petr (referee)
This thesis is focused on some ways of optimizing logistic processes. In the theoretical part are described important terms which are going to introduce the reader to the processes, their analysis followed by optimization. Then there is the space devoted to the metrics by which processes are possible to be evaluated and managed. The practical part offers case study. It contains introduction to the organization, mapping of their processes, analysis of warehouse processes, and their subsequent evaluation and proposed improvements. Suggested improvements were made in the spirit of Lean Management. As another proposal to improve warehouse processes an analysis of inventories have been made and evaluated, which resulted in proposal for new layout of the warehouse, which will encourage further optimization.
Analysis of the logistic processes in the international humanitarian response
Obenbergerová, Lucie ; Jirsák, Petr (advisor) ; Smejkal, Richard (referee)
This master thesis is showing the humanitarian logistics as a complex and important part of the humanitarian response. The theoretical part explains the specifics of a humanitarian environment and compares humanitarian and enterprise logistics. A part of the theory is focused on the international humanitarian response of the Czech Republic and its financial aspects. The application part of the thesis analyses each phase of the humanitarian supply chain with practical examples and is followed by instruments of the enterprise logistics that can be applied on humanitarian sector and that help to optimize the humanitarian supply chain and enhance the efficiency of the response in emergencies. The thesis provides the reader with two case studies from the field built on the experience of the logisticians from two international non-governmental organizations and with an assessment of these according to the aforementioned instruments.

Furthermore, for the purposes of the application part there are selected and analyzed specific tools of lean manufacturing. These include for example the spaghetti diagram, the product / process matrix and the value stream mapping as the essential tool of this thesis. All this is complemented by ABC analysis. After that these methods are also applied in the practical part for solving the current project in the selected company. At first in solving the project there is dealt with the determination of the most problematic material flow between two areas of production plant.
