Education and the education system in the Central Bohemian Region and its link to the labour market

The aim of this dissertation named " Education and the education system in the Central Bohemian Region and its link to the labour market" is to assess the evolution of the education structure of the population and the education system in the Central Bohemian region in relation to the labour market ( after 2001 ). The dissertation is divided into four main chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to the definition of the elementary pedagogy terms, labour market etc. The second chapter is providing more information about the education system and the labour market in Czech Republic including the legislation and the fundamental conceptual documents. The third chapter illustrates the organisation of the education system in the Central Bohemian region and informs about the education structure in the Central Bohemian region. The fourth chapter contains the issues of the labour market in the Central Bohemian region and focuses on the employment and unemployment in the region. There is also an analysis of the vacancies structure in the region. With the analysis of the statistical data was possible to identify and evaluate the difference between the education structure in Czech Republic and in Central Bohemian region and also weight up if the structure of the education system in the Central Bohemian region meets the demand for labour from the profession point of view as well as the achieved education point of view. All this is introduced in the closing part of the dissertation.
The analysis of the transformation of the funding of the structural policiy 2014-2020 in the context of actual problems of european integration: the impact of the economic crisis, the vision and targets of the Europe 2020 strategy, globalization and competitiveness of the EU

The final thesis focuses on the transformation of the financing of the European Union structural policy between two programming periods 2007-2013 and 2014-2020. The first part presents the theoretical basis of analysed subject, and shows the development of the concept of economic and social cohesion, together with the experts' proposals to reform its financing. The second part contains the characteristics of problems and challenges of the European integration. The third part then in their context and based on the comparison of the multiannual financial framework 2007-2013 and 2014-2020 identifies and assesses the major changes regarding the European Union structural policy. Even if the interests and priorities of the Czech Republic are not always in line with the changes, the Czech Republic must respect them and implement them not only in their programming documents. Whether the changes are suitable for the Czech Republic, is reviewed in the last part of the thesis.
The Impact of the Grundtvig Programme on the Functioning of Further Education Institutions in the Czech Republic and on the services they provide

The thesis evaluates the impact of the Grundtvig programme on Czech further education institutions in the medium term. The first part presents the concept of further education as a soft factor of regional development and also the applied research methods. The next section presents the Czech and European lifelong learning strategies and the programme is shown as a part of the Lifelong Learning Programme and as one of the financial instruments of the EU. The main part of the paper presents the analysis of the use of the Grundtvig programme by the Czech institutions and the impacts on them assessed by a questionnaire survey among supported institutions. The work identified a major impact on the organizations in the area of know-how transfer from abroad, while in the area of networking or creation of innovative outputs identified impacts were minimal.
The local action groups in the Czech Republic in the programming period 2007 - 2013: A Case Study MAS Hlučínsko

The topic of the diploma thesis is "The local action groups in the Czech Republic in the programming period 2007 - 2013: A Case Study MAS Hlučínsko". The thesis deals with the local development and rural areas in general with a focus on voluntary cooperation with the local actors from the private, public and nonprofit sectors in Hlučínsko. The analytic part contains an analysis of the socio-economic areas, analysis of completed projects in the programming period 2007 - 2013 focused both on improving the technical and transport infrastructures and the development of rural heritage and synthesis of findings from an empirical investigation in the form of structured interviews with representatives of MAS Hlučínsko.
Evaluation of a state of rural business and motivational factors for its formation in the microregion Sedlčansko

This Master thesis is based on empirical research of entrepreneurial subjects located in microregion Sedlčany which searches and evaluates the impacts of rural entrepreneurship in this region. Rural entrepreneurship has gone through changes. In comparison to its past, these changes have reflected the growing importance of non-agricultural subjects in countryside. Theoretical part presents a view into general way-outs to define a countryside and rural business. In addition, practical part pays attention to analysis of specific impacts of companies in this limited region. For instance, it brings us critical knowledge about cooperative networking, targeted markets, positive and negative factors which may influence local businesses. A component of this analysis is also an attempt to find and define motivating factors for migration in this monitored area.
The quality of education and the analysis of PISA 2012 results in the Czech Republic with the emphasis on regional disparities

This diploma thesis deals with the quality of education and possibilities of its measuring. Primarily it is focused on the assessment Programme for International Student Assessment. The aim of this diploma thesis is to find out whether significant regional disparities could be identified and to reveal potential factors influencing the causes of these disparities. Education is generally considered to be important factor of regional development and the way how to improve economic and social situation of the region. Theoretical part of the diploma thesis describes definitions of the basic concepts, the role of education in theories of the regional development, issue of education quality and background of PISA project. Practical part introduces the education system in the Czech Republic and the role of our regions as partly autonomous units. Especially the attention is paid to PISA results. The last results 2012 of Czech regions are the object of further analysis.
Social tourism in the regions of the Czech Republic

The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the current support for the social tourism in the Czech Republic in terms of its spatial layout and verification of achieving the goals associated with this concept. The theoretical part includes defining the concept of tourism, its typology, management and connection to the regional development. Further attention is given to social tourism, its principles, recent developments, the basic features and examples of its support in European countries. The practical part deals with the support for social tourism in the Czech Republic, both at the regional and national level. It includes an analysis of the National Programme for the Promotion of Tourism 2010--2013 in terms of the distribution of subsidies allocated to the regions, target groups and product types. It also includes a summary of the results of the survey, which was carried out by the grant recipient. The conclusion includes the evaluation of the success of this program and proposes recommendations for its further development. For the evaluation of the current support are used methods such as comparison, analysis of statistical data and field research. During analysis of statistical indicators were used data of Czech Statistical Office, Ministry of Regional Development, regional strategic concepts of tourism development and the data obtained from author's own field research.
The Rural development program 2007-2013: The evaluation of payments provided in the mountain areas, and payments provided for a natural disadvantage in other less-favoured areas (LFA)

This thesis deals with the meaning of agriculture in the country area and its effect on the development of the rural areas. My goal is to evaluate the actual realization of resources, which are spent on the support of farmers, who practice in areas with less favourable conditions. This is performed on a regional analysis of the number of handed and accepted requests and on the amount of the land usage in disadvantaged areas with the result that my thesis will concentrate on the evaluation of a regional differentiation. This diploma work will deal with the issue of what kind of the Czech agricultural disadvantaged areas happen to use the financial resources in terms of LFA, and what are the main factors of such differentiation in the relation with the aims of this support. The theoretical part of this thesis targets on the country development and the meaning of agriculture in the country area. It describes methods and approaches of determination of the rural area and less-favoured areas. It also characterizes the Rural Development policy in Czech Republic. The analytical part of this work contains a regional payment analysis (in the concept of the rural area) for a natural disadvantage provided in the mountain areas, and payments provided in other less-favoured areas (LFA) in the programming period 2007-2013 in the Czech Republic. For this regional analysis there are used data especially from the implementation organ SZIF, data from the Agricultural Accounting Data Network FADN, and finally data from the Annual Report of the Rural Development Program. Such data are interpreted on the basis of the method of cartographical projection. Farther, this thesis tries to find out if the aim of such action is realized. On account of the performed analysis, my thesis summarizes acquired findings and draws consecutive conclusions from the realization of support.
Methodological context of evaluating the impact of the soft interventions from the EU Structural Funds: the application on the Operational Programme Human Resources and Employment

The thesis "Methodological context of evaluating the impact of the soft interventions from the EU Structural Funds: the application on the Operational Programme Human Resources and Employment" deals with the public expenditure programs as a tool for economic and regional policy. In connection with objective of this thesis, which is to evaluate the impact of soft interventions from OP HRE on the selected target groups, the thesis is focused on issues and experience with the evaluation of public expenditure programs in the Czech Republic. The actual evaluation of the impacts of the soft interventions from the OP HRE is made from two viewpoints microeconomic and macroeconomic. Based on the analysis there are identified the problems of evaluating the impact of the intervention on the target groups as well as their possible solutions.
Education and the Educational System in the Moravian-Silesian Region and its connection with labour market

The aim of the thesis called Education and the Educational System in the Moravian-Silesian Region and its connection with labour market is to answer the question whether there is a connection between the educational system and the labor market in the Region. The thesis is divided into four major sections. The first charter describes the system of education and the labor market in general. Basic principles and concepts of this issue are described there. The second chapter provides information on the educational system and the labor market in the Czech Republic, including legislation and basic conceptual documents. The third chapter deals with the educational system in the Moravian-Silesian Region and provides an overview of the structure of students and graduates of secondary and tertiary education institutions in the region. The fourth chapter summarizes labor market issues in the Region with a focus on employment and unemployment in the region. The chapter ends with evaluating the structure of vacancies in the region. The results of the thesis suggest that while the offer of courses at secondary and tertiary education institutions largely meets the demand for labor in the region, the level of education does not.
