The content of the bachelor thesis is the use of project management methods in the upgrade of the enterprise information system. The thesis consists of three parts. The first part describes the theoretical background of the thesis necessary for the subsequent processing of the project. The second part contains the own analysis of the technical solution, which is focused on the technical specification of the solution. In the third part, a concrete project plan is developed by using project management tools and methods.

Bakalářská práce pojednává o využitím nástrojů projektového managementu v konkrétní společnosti působící v odvětví informačních technologií. Projekt, kterým se práce zabývá, je zaměřený na integraci duplicitních systémů vzniklých na základě sloučení dvou společností za pomoci využití metodiky PRINCE2. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí. V první části jsou popsány teoretické metody a postupy použité pro zpracování práce. Ve druhé části je analyzován současný stav společnosti a výchozí informace k projektu. Práce je zakončena třetí částí, která obsahuje praktické využití metod pro návrh projektu a zhodnocení přínosů pro společnost.

Project Proposal of Digital Transformation

The bachelor thesis is focused on the design of the implementation of digital transformation of a company that focuses on road cargo transportation. The digitalization is mainly focused on the area of vehicle and employee tracking. The aim of this project is to increase efficiency and reduce costs for fuel, repairs and other influential factors. The tracking will be achieved by introducing IoT (Internet of Things) systems such as GPS locators, sensors and cameras, which will send data to a designed web and Android application for further interaction. The theoretical part of the thesis will also describe different project management methods. I will then use the selected methods directly in the design of the digital transformation project.

In the following part, the current situation in the selected company is described and based on the analysis, the appropriate methods, techniques and project management tools to be used in the project implementation are selected.

Táto bakalárska práca porovnáva lineárne a iteračné metodiky riadenia projektov a skúma využitie princípov dizajnu zameraného na používateľa pri vývoji softvéru. Analyzuje použitie Experiment Canvasu v procese vývoja tímu Agility & Continuous Improvement spoločnosti RedHat. Na základe výsledkov výskumu práca navrhuje prijatie Experiment Canvasu prispôsobených potrebám spoločnosti RedHat. Štúdia dokazuje, že implementácia Experiment Canvasu môže zvýšiť efektívnosť a účinnosť postupov vývoja softvéru v spoločnosti RedHat.

The Use of Metohods of the Project Management in IT Projects

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the application of acquired knowledge, tools, and methods of project management in the implementation of an ERP system project for a client. The theoretical part of the thesis concentrates on the basic concepts related to the topic and is subsequently utilized in the other parts of the work. The analytical part examines the current state of the company AUTOCONT and its approach to project management. The final proposal section builds upon the analytical part and is dedicated to proposing solutions to the project using project management tools and methods.

Implementation of PRINCE2 Metodology for Project Management in Software Development Environment

This thesis treats implementation of PRINCE 2 methodology into a development department environment, in which software tools for support of localisation processes are developed. The thesis treats management of projects during their life cycle and provides an overview of basic principles of PRINCE2 methodology with regard to agile practice. An analysis of internal processes of a company makes part of the thesis as well. A PRINCE2 methodology proposal and adjustment is made for the specified environment, based on the analysis. The final part of the thesis contains a suggested action plan with time and financial estimate of the implementation and summary of anticipated benefits.
