Options in Sharing Childcare within Family Support

1 Abstract The diploma thesis deals with three innovative models of childcare. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The object of the work is to inform about innovative child care models and to map the implementation possibilities of one described model. The theoretical part deals with the theme of family and its importance for the society. The disorders of family, reasons for child removals out of family, prevention of family failures and family preservation are farther described in this part. Other chapters are focused on already mentioned three models of care. The first model describes sharing care within providing support of volunteers, the second model inheres in sharing care within the residential care and the last model describes the sharing care within care provided by foster parents. The practical part addresses the research which was undertaken as semi-structured dialogs with social workers of foster parents and with foster parents too. A part of the research is formed by the analyse of reasons for child removals out of family. It was found out within the research that the implementation possibilities of sharing care within care provided by foster parents are low with regards to its demandingness and the general settings of our society.
Shared custody in the district of Prague 14

This bachelor thesis deals with shared custody as a post-divorce form of parenting. It discloses the most important legislation governing shared custody as well as the child's interest and the relationships between parents and children. The theoretical part provides the legal definition of divorce and shared custody. It examines the factors that influence the court's decision on shared custody and provides information on the development of the findings made by the Constitutional Court regarding shared custody. The part of the helping workers in supporting a family in the development of playing of children with ASD

(in English) This bachelor thesis is about role of helping workers in supporting a family in the development of playing of children with ASD. It highlights importance of gaming for right children's development as an individual and problems which children with ASD can have with activities such as games. It also contains importance of professionality and cooperation of all of the supporting assistants in order to have complexity of the work. Practical part has two parts. First part of reseach was focused on role mapping of the helping workers, who are in contact with children with ASD. Purpose of this preresearch was to find assistants who are in the deepest contact with these types of games. There were interviews with those people in the second part of practical part. Second part is focused on detailed work with kids with autism and their families. It includes also group playing, possibilities in education and principles of right choice of it.
Reflexion of the Effect of Group Work in People after a Divorce

This thesis examines the effect of group programme for clients of marriage counselling, who are going / have gone through a divorce, or disintegration of cohabitation (or possibly through other difficult situations connected with marriage, partnership, family …). The first - theoretical- part consists of a summary of the relevant literature related to the topic focusing on stages of divorce. The second part involves a qualitative analysis of eleven interviews with clients - attendants of two cycles of the programme and an analysis of a focus group. The analysis of the interviews has resulted in an individual reflexion of the effects of the programme and an attempt on formulation of efficient strategies of the help during the divorce process with focus on restoration of social integration during the restructuring stage after the divorce. The obtained results show that the clients consider the programme efficient and helpful during adaptation to divorce/disintegration of cohabitation in terms of changing their perspective on the course of their marriage/ partnership and their divorce/break up crisis. Kinship care from the view of care givers

The diploma thesis discusses the issue of kinship foster care, its specifics, strengths and weaknesses. It examines the views of grandparents, aunties, uncles and other relatives on their role in foster care and the children's life. The theoretical part is focused on basic topics in foster care, views on foster care and the development of children living in foster care. The practical part of the thesis is focused on semi-structured interviews with care givers which should tell us facts about their views of foster care, why children are placed in their family, practical problems and help which they need. There are also casuistries of foster care families.
Children as Witnesses to Domestic Violence in the Light of Research

The aim of this work is to gain a general knowledge of the possible effects on the health and function of an individual who was a witness to domestic violence as a child. Although nowadays much attention is devoted to direct victims of a crime, children are still often ignored. A majority of society has a false presumption that the children are not affected by adult problems because they are not aware of them or they are too young to understand the situation. Many studies have confirmed that even toddlers perceive a negative environment and react to it. This thesis, based on extensive foreign research, describes a spectrum of social, psychological and health consequences caused by the aforementioned trauma which can sooner or later affect a young person. The United Nation Convention on the Rights of the Child in the case of refugee children

This Bachelor thesis addresses the issue of the basic human rights of Refugee Children guaranteed to every child by UN Convention on the Rights of the Child adopted in 1989. The thesis describes the processes and situations in which a Refugee Child who is accompanied by family members or who is an Unaccompanied Minor goes through during the proceeding of International Protection in the European countries. The thesis focuses only on the articles of Convention that are applicable to crucial problems in the current situation of Refugee Children.
How are the interactions between a father and his child altered by the imprisonment of the father

(in English): Imprisonment does not have a direct impact just on the person who committed the crime it also affects the life of the people close them, especially if the perpetrator is also the parent. This work is aimed to determine how imprisonment affects the interaction between children and incarcerated parents, their fathers. Changes in interaction are explored in contact, mutual communication, parenting roles and relationship between the child and the imprisoned parent. The research, which brings the data obtained using questionnaires and interviews with persons in custody, is based on information provided primarily by foreign experts.
Proposal of a system of further education of social workers in direct contact with seniors in the houses of seniors

This thesis deals with the issue of the further education of social workers who work in homes for the elderly in direct care with this target group. The aim of the work which is based on the results arising from the interviews and questionnaire is to design the content of further training for this specific group of social workers so that their real needs would be accepted. The work is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The content of the theoretical part is familiarising with the most commonly used theories in social work with the elderly in the facilities of social services, marginally, it is describing the social service system for the elderly in the Czech Republic, including the role of social workers in it and the importance of the training of social workers. The practical part presents the methods and results of the data analysis, research and the design of the content of continuing education of social workers.
Intergenerational issues in kinship foster care

The bachelor thesis deals with the problems of kinship foster care. Kinship foster care is a form of foster care, in which a child is being raised by its relative. This form has undoubtedly many benefits, but it also brings out many difficulties. My thesis focuses on potential problems in kinship foster care. It discusses intergenerational issues in kinship foster care, where the child is being raised by his grandparents. The objective of this thesis is to determine, what are the intergenerational problems and to emphasize the differences between foster care and kinship foster care.
