The first part of the thesis is devoted to the research of basic composite materials and technologies for the production of prosthetic devices. The second part of the thesis is focused on the practical manufacturing, where from the scanning of a previously made prosthesis we obtain a model. Following this part, a part of the arm will be fabricated and subjected to material testing.
Design of Technology and a Constructional Solution of a Device for Cutting of Magnetic Points with the Use of CAD/CAM Technologies
Kolomý, Adam ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
The focus of this bachelor's thesis is the evaluation of the current state and the design of a new device for fitting magnetic points. In the theoretical part of the final thesis, expert knowledge of this issue was needed. Based on the synthesis of theoretical knowledge, evaluation, and assessment of problematic parts of contemporary equipment, a piece of new equipment was designed that works more efficiently and effectively. At the end of this work, both devices will be compared in terms of their performance and production cycle. The outcome of the investigation will be time-saving when using the newly constructed device.
Machining of thin-walled components on a CNC lathe
Veselský, Radim ; Kolomý, Štěpán (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
This work was focused on the design and production of a clamping device for clamping thin-walled circular workpieces on a CNC machine. Cutting forces were measured using a dynamometer. From these forces the highest power was derived. The minimum clamping force for clamping the workpiece was calculated. Using simulation, the most suitable angle of spacing of the clamping surfaces was determined. Based on this finding, the jaws were designed and manufactured. 5 samples were processed. Three samples were machined in the original jaws, two samples were machined in newly manufactured jaws. Each jaw was clamped with two specified clamping pressures. The machined samples were scanned with an optical scanner and measured in a measuring program. A clamping simulation took place with the determined pressures of both jaws in the simulation program. Conclusions were drawn from the calculations and the verification experiment.
Design of Technology for Cutting and Engraving of Rotary Semi-finished Products for the CO2 Laser
Šrenk, Vojtěch ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design and implementation of a rotary axis in a CO2 laser cutter for the ability to cut and engrave rotary workpieces. The thesis is focused on identifying several similar available known competitive solutions, for which the pros and cons were evaluated. Based on the findings, suitable parameters were selected to achieve maximum versatility of the proposed system. Versatility in this respect is related to the ability to cut and engrave the widest possible range of rotary workpieces. The thesis also describes the design solution, axis assembly procedure, production design and production of individual components using 3D printing technology (FFF), selection of suitable standardized components and the actual implementation. The conclusions then focus on the proposed solution from an economic and technical point of view.
Design and manufacture of an engraving LED laser
Vodička, Jiří ; Slaný, Martin (referee) ; Dvořák, Jaromír (advisor)
The thesis deals with the current state, principle and use of unconventional machining technologies. It also includes the design and assembly of a engraving laser prototype, with an emphasis on simplicity and functionality. It was an effort to acquaint not only those interested in this activity with the engraving procedure, but also to make the prototype and its use accessible to everyone with a basic awareness of CNC control. Upon completion, a test was performed on the basic materials and the resulting engraving quality is evaluated in the thesis.
Innovation of a Clamping Jig and Technology for Milling and Punching of Keys
Štancl, Dominik ; Fiala, Zdeněk (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a new device for grooving and punching keys. The introductory part is devoted to the history and development of the keys up to the present. It also deals with the individual types of milled and punched semi-finished products and discusses the process of key manufacturing. In the main part, a jig and a feeding mechanism are designed, which ensures the feeding of keys and reliable clamping during machining. Afterwards, the profile surface analysis of the machined surfaces will be made. In the end, the new equipment will be evaluated and compared in terms of selected parameters that affect the functional properties of the final product.
Design of equipment for welding head path correction
Benáček, Filip ; Jaroš, Aleš (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
The work presents the problem of welding of membrane walls intended for application in power boilers. Furthermore, the use of the MIG/MAG method for welding and the advantages of using the CMT method. An innovation has been made for the welding process in the form of laser scanning of the surface and subsequent use of the data to correct the welding head. This led to the automation of the whole process. Because of the necessary testing of the laser scanner function, a test structure was designed and constructed. It was necessary to consider the appropriate wall scanning strategy and subsequent data processing in terms of the overall manufacturing process. The software designed to evaluate the scanned profile placed a point using a suitable tool on the scanned profile. The set of points was further filtered for a smoother resulting path formed by these points. The resulting points were fed to the output signal from the laser device to correct the path of the welding head. Both the welding and the surface scanning will be done simultaneously, so the settings for the laser scanner were created and stored in the internal unit of the device. This allows the laser to operate without connecting to a computer.
Use of laser machines for engraving
Bernátek, Vojtěch ; Dvořák, Jaromír (referee) ; Slaný, Martin (advisor)
The diploma thesis covers laser engraving machines topic. In the theoretical part, it briefly covers laser technology and laser engraving in general. It also mentions history of laser engraving, especially rise and development of the laser itself, laser engraving, as well as characteristics of laser engraving machines. A description of laser engraving machines parts and the working principles of laser technology as such are also included. All objects and materials suitable for laser engraving are also described is the thesis. Furthermore, comparison of laser engraving and other traditional methods of micro machining or surface treatment in general is depicted. In the practical part, thesis deals with the goal of finding the exact corrections on the laser engraving machine necessary to be made when using swing method. Major advantage of this method is its time saving ability during the engraving process, but the corrections mentioned above are needed as inaccuracies emerge due to the kinematics and dynamics of the machine. Last, but not least, ascertained corrections were plotted into a graph and a sample product was engraved using the corrections found.
