Religious Life in Czechoslovak Prisons in the Period of the Communist Regime
Synek, Jan ; Rychlík, Jan (advisor) ; Blažek, Petr (referee)
This thesis deals with Czechoslovak penal system between the years 1948 - 1989 from the view of religion. It investigates the developement of spiritual service in prison, follows its decline after February 1948 and describes in which way the prisoners tried to find a solution to the prohibiton to practice religion in prisons. Further it focuses on religious persecution in communist Czechoslovakia, presents reasons for imprisonment of the members of individual confessions and shows how their faith reflected in everyday life in prison. The author makes a reference to the concentration of priests in closed departements, explains its reason and tries to depict everyday life of these separated communities. He describes in details how the convicted practiced the acts of their religion and he deals with the differences of individual confessions. The work speculates over the sense of imprisonment of hundreds of priests, friars and laymen from some of the Churches in communist Czechoslovakia. It thinks about the power of faith and conviction exposed to cruel physical treatment and mental violence. It also deals with the question of colaboration, relations between members of different confession and between the convicted and warders. In the end it depicts how the people with religious belief, who were...
Influence of casting shape on the yield of feeders
Blažek, Petr ; Bořil, Petr (referee) ; Záděra, Antonín (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the shape of the casting on the yield of the feeders. The theoretical part describes the feeders, solidification of metallic materials and the description and defects of aluminium alloys, in particular the material used: DIN 226. The practical part describes the proposal of the experiment, the tests performed and their results. To compare the shape, 4 different geometries of the casting were cast each with feeder P69I. A capillary test, a density comparison test, was performed on the test casts. In addition, the DAS index was measured and the yield of the feeders was determined depending on the shape and module of the casting.
Simulations of impact of security requirements on industrial system performance
Loskot, Michal ; Blažek, Petr (referee) ; Mlýnek, Petr (advisor)
Safety and security is always a hot topic in the world of information security, but only a few solve how much cryptographic algorithms affect the performance of systems. Newer longer-key algorithms may provide more security, but it takes longer to encrypt data, that is, they may contain extra bits, which increases transfer time and uses more memory to store additional information. This bachelor thesis is focused on the analysis of the impact of the security requirements of the ANSI/ISA-62443 standard on the performance of industrial systems. Communication is simulated in which cryptographic algorithms AES and SHA were used. These simulations are carried out in the open source simulation tool TTool, which enables embedded systems, hardware and software modeling, and simple simulations directly from UML and SysML diagrams.
Methods of steganography
Obdržálková, Karolína ; Blažek, Petr (referee) ; Člupek, Vlastimil (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with steganography, its types and methods. Steganography is generally described in this work. A significant part of this thesis is devoted to the development of steganography and also describes how is steganography used for malware and copyright protection. The next part describes the types of steganography according to the type of carrier, their methods and properties of steganographic methods. Based on theoretical knowledge, an application with a graphical user interface was created to hide and reveal secret information using steganographic method LSB. This application is described in the final part together with the evaluation of security of hidden information.
Web application for file encryption
Tatar, Martin ; Blažek, Petr (referee) ; Zeman, Václav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on developing a web application for file encryption. In the theoretical part symmetric encryption algorithms are divided into block ciphers and stream ciphers. Selected ciphers are described and their properties are compared. Then the modes of operation for block ciphers are described. The developed application encrypts both files and text inputs by the selected algorithm and can operate in various modes of operation. In addition to this functionality the application is supplemented with descriptions of available ciphers and modes of operation.
Sensor devices emulator for industrial networks
Malček, Ladislav ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Blažek, Petr (advisor)
The task of bachelor thesis is design of sensor devices emulator for industrial networks. Subject of the first part is description, safety and control of electric network. Afterwards the current and voltage sensors and merging units for analysis of data are presented, followed by description of the used microcontroller, and all the individual components of simulator. In the next part the design of circuits for voltage, current and binary outputs is presented. The third part of thesis are designs of control terminal and web interface for setting of simulated values by user. After physical realization of emulator, it was tested on a control device. The last part of the thesis are results of testing.
Evaluation of MPLS approach as a WAN technology for data transmissions in critical information infrastructure
Formánek, Juraj ; Blažek, Petr (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
Thesis deals by using MPLS technology in energy critical information infrastructure and its comparison with another modern approach in the area of the WAN management. For this purpose was chosen a Software-defined Wide Area Network technology. This thesis contains theoretical description and practical tests of particular MPLS technologies on the WAN topology, which is considered as a virtual real topology of the EG.D’s company. Test were simulated in GNS3 emulator, using Cisco routers. Practical test were firstly focused on availability test when link or node failure occurs and secondly on route- reflector failures. Conclusion sums up appropriate approach for data transmissions in critical information infrastructure based on informations or practical test in this thesis.
Artificial intelligence for application services classification in network communication
Jelínek, Michael ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Blažek, Petr (advisor)
The master thesis focuses on the selection of a suitable algorithm for the classification of selected network traffic services and its implementation. The theoretical part describes the available classification approaches together with commonly used algorithms and selected network services. The practical part focuses on the preparation and preprocessing of the dataset, selection and optimization of the classification algorithm and verifying the classification capabilities of the algorithm in the various scenarios of the dataset.
Network communication monitoring probe
Klečka, Jan ; Fujdiak, Radek (referee) ; Blažek, Petr (advisor)
Master thesis deals with analysis of single board PC which use Linux as operation system. Analysis of individual NIDS systems and examined their properties for choosing right candidate for single board computer which shall be used as network probe for analysis, filtering and logging of network traffic. Part of the work is aimed on development of a interface which is used for configuration of network probe through the web browser. Web interface allows perform basic operations over network probe which influence network traffic or specify, which information shall be logged. Subsequently network parsers were implemented for network protocols using the Scappy library. The conclusion of the thesis contains the design of the security cover for the device according to the IP54 requirements.
