Graphic creation of Jan Jiri Balzer inspired by Norbert Grund in the collections of The National Gallery in Prague
Kadlecová, Žaneta ; Oulíková, Petra (advisor) ; Zapletalová, Jana (referee)
The target of my dissertation is to draw the character of the graphical works created by Jan Jiří Balzer which are kept in the collections of the National gallery in Prague. The resource of the graphical works of J. J. Balzer according to Norbert Grund includes more than five hundred and fifty items which remained almost non-elaborated. That's why, I would try to sort out and catalogue them. Beyond my dissertation, I would like to introduce a personality of the contemporary artist who is at the time the founder of an engraving plant and a successful businessman - who managed to interest the Czech graphical market of the second half of the 18-th century. As well as, I try to clarify, on base of the critical studying of available sources and literature, the circumstances which lead the artist to the graphical performance of the Norbert Grund's painting works. And last but not least I would like to outline the production of Jan Jiří Balzer in context of the contemporary creation and collecting of the 18-th century.
Smart countryside for the 21st century

The 7th Moravian Conference on Rural Research EURORURAL takes place in the summer of 2020. The period of preparation and holding of the conference was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, which decisively reduced international travel. However, as we did not want to break the developed tradition, we decided to organize the conference online. At the same time, we hoped that this opportunity would allow the participation of colleagues who could not attend our conference personally due to collisions with other events, health, financial causes and other reasons. On the other hand, we were aware that we are entering a little-explored terrain and our intentions would not reach widely the international professional public\nReceived contributions cover various topics of rural development. Their spectrum reflects the current problems of European rural development. We already look forward to receiving some elaborated papers for their eventual publication in the European Countryside.\n
Tomáš Baťa; working conditions in the T. & A. BAŤA, ZLÍN company
Zapletalová, Jana ; Sekyrková, Milada (advisor) ; Dobeš, Jan (referee)
The aim of this work is to understand Tomáš Baťa as a personality, entrepreneur and pioneer in the field of shoemaking craft, as well as his shoe factory. I will try to clarify the working conditions that have been set for Baťa company. The working order is deposited in the Státní okresní Archiv in Zlín and is the only preserved working order for Baťa's life. The working orders of other factories suitable for comparison were provided to me in the Všeodborový archiv Českomoravské konfederace odborových svazů in Prague. For comparison, I chose the working order of the Brněnská továrna na smaltové a kovové zboží Bratří Gottliebové & Brauchbar. I chose this working order, because it was the most appropriate in terms of date of issue. The work also includes economic and social history from the end of the 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, which illustrate the image of society in the life of Tomáš Baťa the elder, co-founder of world-famous Baťa company. The documents used to studying and processing I looked into period materials from the Státní okresní archiv in Zlín and Moravský zemský archiv in Brno, which contain the funds of Tomáš Baťa and the Všeodborový archiv Českomoravské konfederace odborových svazů in Prague, which contains a collection of working orders from different...
European Countryside and its Perception. Book of Abstracts
Zapletalová, Jana ; Vaishar, A. ; Šťastná, M.
Rural area was traditionally connected with agriculture. To compare with urban, rural areas were considered to be backwarded, retarded, not worthy of an intensive research. But the situation has changed during the last years. Although cities are still centres of development within the globalization process, people in Europe abandon them as a result of the trends of suburbanization, counter-urbanization, naturbanization. We intend to pay our attention on transformation trends of the European countryside where focusing on more processes occurring there as: transformation from productive to non-productive function, from central planned to the market oriented countryside, from the mono-functional to the multifunctional one, from the national to European and globalized scale. Such a transformation generates many impacts on natural, economic and social processes occurring \nin present European countryside. Their combination creates a set of different countryside types.
Study of selfpresentation of artist in the Italian painting of the 16th century
Vítová, Kateřina ; Konečný, Lubomír (advisor) ; Zlatohlávek, Martin (referee) ; Zapletalová, Jana (referee)
Study of self-presentation of artist in the Italian painting of the 16th century - abstract Italian art of the 16th century, known as the Cinquecento, is undoubtedly a captivating chapter of art history. No less interesting are the lives of artists from that time, the understanding of self-value and its presentation, creating the artist's identity, i.e. their "artistic self". Within a century we may observe the transformation from a craftsman to an artist, and subsequently artist- the courtier. The main representatives of this "movement", trying to raise the status of arts and artists in the society, were Giorgio Vasari and Federico Zuccari. Each represented a different generation of artists; however, figures of both these painters are complemented in a curious way. There are moments when their lives meet and, in a certain way, follow one another. It is one of the reasons, why the connection Vasari-Zuccari is suitable for understanding social situation or the self-presentation of central Italian artists in the 16th century. It is almost as if this duo was representing a fictitious art figure of the Cinquecento, whose life began 1511 (with the birth of Giorgio Vasari) and ended in 1609 (with the death of Federico Zuccari) and by studying this figure we discover the development of artists' self-concept and...
