Multicultural theory. The relationship between ethics and the concept of authenticity

This bachelor's thesis deals with the theories of Charles Taylor, his social and political theory and its moral foundation. The thesis focuses on the questions of multiculturalism and the influence of ethics of authenticity upon them. It is divided into three essential parts. First part is devoted to the ethics of authenticity, the defects of contemporary society and the formation of modern identity. The next provides a closer look into the position of the author in the multicultural discussion, and the last part analyses the politics of recognition with its two parts, politics of universalism and politics of difference. The conclusion answers the question how the ethics of authenticity influences Taylor's view of multi-culturalism.

Cognitive Functions Assessment of Patients in Senior Age, Special Tests

My Bachelor thesis deals with examination of cognitive functions at seniors by specialized tests. This study focuses on two screening tests finding a state of cognitive functions. These tests are MMSE (Mini Mental State Examination) and MEAMS (The Middlesex Elderly Assessment of Mental State). My objective was examination of both the tests on a group of seniors, to find out positives and negatives of each test, to analyze them and to get information about what the test reveals a particular person. Collection of data took place at institution for seniors during my five weeks long practice. My other objective was creation of anonymous questionnaire for ergonomic therapists in the Czech Republic which was supposed to map awareness of the test MEAMS and its method of examination of cognitive functions.. The theoretical part gives information about particular tests, cognitive functions, types of dementia at seniors most often existing and explains concepts like aging, old age, aging of population. In the practical part there is methodology of casuistry of three seniors at who both screening tests were performed. Then there are results of the questionnaire for ergonomic therapists and in the end there is shown the connection between the questionnaire and the casuistries. Project of organisation and management in tourism destination Český Krumlov

Task of this work was to make analysis focused on current management of tourism in the city of Český Krumlov, models of other destinations and business enviroment. On basis of conclusion of those analysis were made posibilities of cooperation and comunication between business enviroment and Destination management ČK, and also were accepted specific steps to improve all activities of this organisation. Data gathered through managed interviews showed complex information of state of destination management in Czech Republic and abroad. In following comparation was found out, at what level is currently destionation managememt in Český Krumlov, Analysis of business enviroment defined relations, which can be improved and amplified, with privat enviroment of city. For purpose of creating communication base was designed specific platform Jourfix. As a next step suggestions for better organisation and coordination of activities of Destination management were defined, including its economic calculations. The main purpose was to correctly evaluate actual situation of this subject and to create specific solutions.

The effect of cultural events on the visit rate in Český Krumlov

The partial aim of this work was to implement the features of selected cultural events and consequently the interpretation of realized marketing research. On the basis of this interpretation the main purpose was identified. The aim was related to the effect of cultural events on the visit rate in Český Krumlov. The suggested actions for the improvement of the cultural events offering were accepted. The data from questionary research provided the information for compilation of the visitor´s profile, which included the investigation in the sphere of quality by given services. The research presented the detection of opportunities and deficiencies in the cultural actions co-ordination.
