Holpuch, Michal ; MRICS, Otakar Langer, (referee) ; Martincová, Jana Victoria (advisor)
This thesis deals with the influence of changes in the surrounding of development project area on its return. This is done in the form of defining the main areas of environmental change. These are based on exploration of the possibilities of urban development, the development process and the methods of its evaluation. From them, possible scenarios are put together, determined their predictability, identified aspects that can affect them and the stages of the process when they can occur. These scenarios are eventually verified on specific projects.
Risk of Presence of Fine and Ultrafine Particles at Work Place of Specific Industry
Hájková, Alena ; Skřehot, Petr Adolf (referee) ; Martincová, Jana Victoria (advisor)
Submitted Master’s thesis deals with risks of fine and ultrafine particles occurrence in the industrial workplace area of automotive production. The introductory part has been analyzing the contemporary state of art defining basic terms, qualities, ways of measurement and health risks involved with fine and ultrafine particles. Furthermore, the research deals with the legal framework based around fine and ultrafine particles exposure in the workplace and the management of work-related risks in general. The experimental part of the thesis describes devices and conditions of measurement in the industrial company. The results of each measurement have been presented with the emphasis on inhalant exposure. Technical and organizational measures have been proposed on the basics of obtained results to reduce potential health risks of employees involved in exposure of fine and ultrafine particles. Final chapter of the thesis concludes obtained results, findings and in practice recommendations.
Identifying the Sources of Risk Related to Road Transport of Hazardous Substances and a Proposal of Measures for Reducing Losses on Public Assets
Poul, Adam ; Hrabová, Kristýna (referee) ; Martincová, Jana Victoria (advisor)
The master‘s thesis focuses on the risks of transporting dangerous goods by road. The introductory part deals with related legislation of the Czech Republic is analyzed, followed by international legislation. In the European Union, the transport of dangerous goods is regulated primarily by the European agreement concerning the International carriage of dangerous goods by road (ADR). Between 2002 and 2019, master‘s thesis analyzes and describes the statistics of traffic accidents with the presence of dangerous goods. Furthermore, this master‘s thesis also analyzes the characteristics of the sources of traffic accident risks, and when activating the risk, the possible effects of traffic accidents and subsequent leakage of dangerous goods are described. In fulfilling the aims of the master‘s thesis, agreement was found in the causes of traffic accidents in statistics and in the literature in the fact that in 80% it is the fault of the human factor. Analysis of a set of 10 large accidents with the presence of dangerous goods using a modified "What, if" method identified impacts on public assets. Based on these identified impacts, measures were proposed that would be appropriate to apply in the public interest.
Externalities in Transportation Industry, their solution possibilities and related risks
Magaudo, Salvatore ; Skřehot, Petr Adolf (referee) ; Martincová, Jana Victoria (advisor)
The target of the diploma thesis is to explain the concept of externality in transport and evaluate the current state of the traffic situation in the city of Brno with a focus on the location Tomkovo square, where is in progress the construction of another part of a large city ring road. Externalities will be evaluated in the locality with emphasis on the negative ones and their solutions. Based on theoretical knowledge, the results of the evaluation of the questionnaire survey, a case study will be created with the current facts of the consequences of transport and will support changes and opportunities to improve the quality of life in the locality. The results will be presented in public administration.
Evaluation of the presence of fine and ultrafine particles in the air in an industrial zone
Kysilka, Matěj ; Martincová, Jana Victoria (referee) ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the presence of the fine and ultrafine particles in an industrial zone. At the beginning of the theoretical part, dust particles and their division by size are described. Subsequently, sources of particles, methods of their measurement are mentioned and methods of analysis are described in more detail. Significant part of the research is devoted to health risks related to exposure to particles, the fundamental impact on the environment is also mentioned. The experimental part describes the measurement conditions that took place outdoor near an unnamed industrial zone. At the beginning of the experimental part, the used devices are presented. Subsequently, measured and graphically evaluated data on the concentration of particles in the air are presented. Particles collected on filter were used for analysis of selected metals. Analysis of selected metals was performed also on the samples of soil and plant material. The obtained metal concentration data were evaluated and commented.
Risk management concerning safety and health at work in a selected organization
Hošták, Branislav ; Karpíšek, Zdeněk (referee) ; Martincová, Jana Victoria (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with specifics and problems in OSH management in the case of working from home with an administrative character. The introductory part is focused on definitions and the theoretical background of the issue. In the next part, risk analysis methods are designed and implemented to identify weaknesses of working from home from the employee's point of view and management from the employer's point of view. In the practical part, the current state of OSH management when working from home was determined using a questionnaire. The results were analysed, and measures were proposed based on them. In the analysis of the findings, the results are compared with other surveys on the issue.

Evaluation of Key Risks of Supply Chains
Repík, Dušan ; Martincová, Jana Victoria (referee) ; Foltin, Pavel (advisor)
Master’s thesis focuses on the topic "Evaluation of Key Risks of Supply Chains". The thesis links the field of supply chain management with the field of risk management. In the first part of the thesis, the basic concepts of these fields are defined, which are then linked and narrowed down to the specialization of supply chain risk management. Subsequently, the problems of inadequate supply chain structure, configuration and resilience are formulated and argued. Macroeconomic MRA is applied against these problems and its applicability and usefulness in a supply chain environment is tested. Subsequently, its ability to predict future developments is also tested to provide a basis for building long-term sustainable chains that are able to cope with the pitfalls and uncertainties in the current highly dynamic environment.
