In my bachelor thesis, I first determined the goals of the planning study and its methodology. In the second part, I defined the intention of the planning study where I specified its goal and purpose. Next, I determined a territory, which the planning study will concern, and requirements for the content of the study with specification of the functional and territorial utilization and traffic concept of the area. The third part is concerned with literary research, which defines the terms of my proposal. Then, with application of literary research, I specified basic requirements for achieving high-quality housing and landscape. In the next step, I used an analysis and research to verify the researched location for the future proposal. Finally, I dealt with the actual design where I proposed a housing area suitable for the future residents and in harmony with the surrounding landscape

This public space is possible to call also as the square and the design of revitalisation follows this idea to utilise the space also as a square. The bibliographic search was provided before the design development. The respective checked literature deals with the functions of the public spaces and their development and with the functions of the panel estates at all, involves also the analysis of wider relations with close neighbourhoods including the landowners claims and the transportation in the area. The realised meetings with residents completed the survey, the residents were given the possibility to participate in the development of the design of the square by filling the depth perception map and expression of their own opinions. The analytic design was created in the ARCGIS programme, cuts in the AUTOCAD programme and the 3D design in SKETCHUP programme. The output of this bachelors work is the comprehensive urban design of the revitalisation of public spaces.

Communicative aproach to spatial planning in selected works of urban planning theory 2nd half of 20th century
Macoun, Milan
The aim of this research is to highlight the value of the Habermas communicative theory that appears in articles of several planners during the second half of the 20th century with a direct response or appears indirectly in the others. In the communication process Forester highlights the issue of information; Healey studies further the cooperation between citizens and public administration and the problem of institutional capacity building. Fainstein and Sandercock provide summary articles. Fainstein exposes the communicative theory some criticism, Sandercock puts it into broader context of advocacy and radical planning. In the end, this leads us to the paradigm of social learning – another important theoretical direction. I note that there are still opportunities to enhance the quality of communication between citizens and public policy in the Czech Republic.
