Commercial use of social networks

This thesis analyses the possible utilizations of social networks by companies in order to obtain benefits in their field of business. This study is focused on the most popular social network on a global scope, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and YouTube. The theoretical section summarizes and provides an analysis of its suitability and possibility for applications in commercial companies. The possibilities discussed are in particular marketing, client communication, brand development and public relations. Moreover, the practical part of this thesis lists the main case studies that depict the utilization of social networks in practice and highlight the benefits the individual companies gain and their costs. Case studies further discuss the use of social networks by traditional and less traditional means for small and larger-sized companies. The thesis is complemented by applied research of social network activities of companies and the analysis of the perception of their users, which is realized by questionnaire survey.
Payment Card Security

Credit cards bring us many advantages, but also disadvantages in terms of risk. The era of credit cards has gone through an enormous development, which still continues, and will not go away. The risk of card abuse unfortunately accompanies this whole process of developments of the credit cards. Although the technology is very advanced, and there is already a very sophisticated security, nothing is ever perfect. The aim of this thesis is to define and analyze current measures, which secure a credit card and its use, even on the internet, and to analyze credit card Frans amd misuse of sensitive data of their owners and to suggest changes to the security.
Overview of project management tools for managing web based projects

The thesis focuses on analysis and the selection of an appropriate project management tool for web based projects. The theoretical part characterizes project management, level of project management in IT environment and web based projects with their specifics. Within the web based projects, it characterizes the possibilities of development and delivery of the Web applications and the methodology used in the development -- rigorous and agile methodologies. The work focuses on the description of agile methodologies in managing software development and their usage in the management of web based projects. Procedures and ways of managing agile methodologies are reflected in the definition of requirements for functionality analyzed among the project management tools in the practical part. The practical part focuses on the description and characteristics of a sample of project management tools used in web based projects and analyzes the selection of the most appropriate one. Evaluation of project management tools is based on the level of compliance with the pre-defined functionalities and comparison of the cost of acquisition and operation for a 3 years period. The functionality of the selected project management tools is evaluated on the basis of meeting the level 8 defined areas. The cost for the project tools are evaluated in the methods of acquisition, which offers their suppliers - On-Premise, On-Demand with proprietary tools and Open Source Software tools under the GNU General Public License.
Process modeling notations and their utilization

The companies can choose from a wide range of tools and methodologies for mapping their processes. The key point is to select the right ones to ensure they will match with the purpose of process mapping and the process models will be clear and easy to understand for the entire stakeholder spectrum. For process modeling we often use diagrams. We have notations that are very advanced, they can be very detailed and accurate. On the other hand we have those which are very simple and with only a few symbols they can capture basic ideas and attributes of the process. The aim of this thesis is to compare representatives from each group of notations and answer the question which notation is more suitable for different types of utilization of business process models. The representative of the advanced instruments is BPMN 2.0, which is compared with the basic flowcharts. The research is based on Delphi method.
The proposal of gamification into a company Car4Way

The diploma thesis deals with the incorporation of Gamification into a company that provides services. In theoretical part the concept of Gamification is defined first as well as its development, games and their significance. Subsequently typology of players is described. The basic principle of Gamification is explained on the game's elements and mechanisms that motivate players to activity. The initial chapter consists of a summary of basic knowledge of literature, mostly foreign. Then examples of successful applications are described using game elements, which subsequently will be used in the practical part for push-process Gamification into society. The practical part is devoted to a detailed description of the gamificate environment Car4Way company and its implementation into society. First of all company Car4Way is described, especially the process of registration for returning a car. Comparison of individual gamification elements and creation of the concept of service gamification for best practices in Car4Way .
Security standards, history, comparison and application on particular problem

The aim of this thesis is to provide current information about chosen security standards, management approaches and metodics, clarify their development and compare them. Gathered knowledge is used for assessing maturity of chosen processes with connection to security using COBIT in software developing enterprise. That is followed by assessing the situation of enterprise and recommendation about future managing of processes using COBIT.
The Usage of Social Media in Sport

This thesis deals with social media and their use in sport. The main objective is in the first part to describe the concept of social media and their types, and consequently their use by individuals in sports, sports clubs and the organization of sporting events. In the second part is the main objective to determine whether physical educational associations and sports clubs in the Central Region using social media and if so, what kinds of social media. This finding is based on own research with a focus on certain factors that can usage of social media affect. The two main objectives are followed by two additional goals. The first is to compare the use of social media in the USA and the Czech Republic, the other is creation of social network page on Facebook for physical educational association Sokol Vysoký Újezd.
Public tenders in ICT field

The thesis is focused on analysis of complicated situation in public tenders in ICT field. The content is divided into two main parts. The first part provides an overview of historical development in terms of legal definition of basic laws in public tenders. Historical excursion includes a chapter dealing with the proposed amendment to public tenders act. There are shown the main points that would have a significant impact and would change the process of future commissioning of public tenders. The second part is practically oriented, beginning with computerization of public tenders and dealing further with a practical side of public tenders. There are also defined administrative offenses of commissioners as well as those of suppliers in this part of the thesis. The main focus of the work is an analysis of the most serious cases of public tenders commissioning in ICT field and definition of the biggest faults that occur. There are also provided suggestions as to how to deal with the situation in this part of the thesis.
