Comparison of Czech and Slovak central bank

This Bachelor´s thesis deals with central banking theme, from it´s beginning, through evolution till current situation, primarily. The aim of this thesis is to analyse and compare central bank functions of Slovak republic and Czech republic from a public asministrative point of view as well. The main part focuses on monetary policy and supervisory and regulation policies, afterwards I focus on other functions. The theoretical part gives a brief introduction into theories which are important for the practical part. The main question of this work is if central banks and their business has any impact on individuals. After the analysis and comparison support my hypothesis about importance and need of central banks and their policies and functions, especially in market oriented economies, and also I give a few examples of central bank policies having impact on individuals choices and everyday life.
Funding of selected social services for seniors

The diploma thesis Funding of selected social services for seniors deals with the system of funding of the social services for the elderly - retirement homes and homes with a special regime in the Czech Republic. It is focused on the analysis of costs and earnings for these services and possible measurement of efficiency during providing of services. For the area in the nonprofit sector there are specific features of financing, which enables providing of social services. Attention is also paid to proposals for changes in the current system of financing. Sources of data analysis are internal data of regions of Ostrava and Zlin, internal data providers gathered for benchmarking and report on the performance of individual service providers.
Difference of income and expenditure of social security in the regions of the Czech Republic

Social security is in the Czech Republic the main instrument of social policy. It serves to improve the social situation of the population. It works as a support socially disadvantaged individuals in the form of social benefits. On the other hand, the state introduced a social insurance system, which consists of health and pension insurance and the contribution to the state employment policy, which are collectively referred to as social security premiums. The social insurance system is partly used for financing state social benefits. This work is based on analysis of social security, social benefits analysis, subsequent comparison and finding out a relationship or dependency between these systems. Systems are closely connected, one could not exist without the other.
Analysis of public procurement in chosen town

The bachelor's thesis is dedicated to analysis of public procurement in Trebon. Firstly, the issue of public procurement in the Czech Republic is explained from the legal and economic perspective. The next chapter focuses on the budget of Trebon. In the third chapter, the analysis of public procurement is made and finally in the last chapter, the results are compared to the data about public procurement in the Czech Republic which have been analysed in the first chapter.
Comparison of economic efficiency of two surgeries

This bachelor thesis deals with comparison of economic efficiency of two surgeries. In the theoretical section, this thesis will look at the specifics of the healthcare market in general and discuss methods to finance it. The practical part of bachelor thesis analysis coverage of healthcare services in the region of Domažlice. The primary goal of the thesis is to compare the profit points and cost of services from both surgeries.
Economic impacts of obesity focusing on the increasing incidence of diabetes

The aim of the bachelor thesis is assessment of economic impacts due to increasing prevalence of obesity and describing frequent illnesses which are connected with the obesity, especially diabetes mellitus. Theoretical part describes obesity and its risk factors. Practical part focuses on diabetes mellitus type 2 and represents trend of number of diabetics and costs of their treatment during previous years in the world and in the Czech Republic area. In the final part are described possible interventions that could contribute to future decrease of amount of diabetics and also costs of the treatment.
Public procurement in chosen teaching hospitals CR

Presented bachelor thesis deals with above-threshold and below-threshold public procurement over the years 2012 to 2015 in chosen teaching hospitals. Selected hospitals include Teaching hospital Motol, Teaching hospital Brno, Teaching hospital Ostrava and Teaching hospital Olomouc. The main aim of the thesis is to compare the public procurement of selected hospitals over the years 2012 to 2015 according to their purpose. Obtained data of individual hospitals are processed in the thesis and then compared with each other. In the end the thesis evaluates nature of public procurement in chosen hospitals.
Budgetary allocation of taxes

This bachelor thesis engages in impact of budgetary allocation amendment, effective from 1st January 2013, on revenues of municipalities. The aim of the thesis is to discover if the amendment No. 295/2012 Sb. of Act No. 243/2000 Sb. increased average revenues of middle sized municipalities. Supposing that the revenues of these municipalities have risen, I want to further verify the effect on average revenues of small and large municipalities. For simplification I calculate only a personal income tax. The first chapter describes development of budgetary allocation of taxes among municipalities since 1993. The second chapter analyses the impact of the amendment on personal income tax revenues of municipalities. The next chapter examines whether possible change of revenues from personal income tax could have been caused by change of allocation of tax on self-employment. The last chapter ascertains the impact of the amendment on revenues in the regions
Analysis of the health care systems in Denmark and the Netherlands

The master thesis deals with the health care systems of Denmark and Netherlands. The goal of this paper is to assess the relationship between the health expenditures and selected demographic indicators. In the first part is defined health, types of the health systems and described the current trends in the healthcare. The second part of this thesis describes the health systems in Denmark and Netherlands (basic characteristics, financing, provision of services and health care reforms). The practical part contains an analysis of public and private health expenditures and selected demographic indicators and their relationship.
