Selection of children's literature: family influence and the comparison between generations

In this bachelor's thesis, I focus on the family influence and a family's reading preferences during three generations. In the theoretical part, I list evidence proving important and indispensable influence of a family on the children's reading. I also mention some of previous researches focused on children's reading preferences. In the practical part, I evaluate a questionnaire that was asking about popularity of certain choosen books during three generations as well as about the family relations and the attitude towards the books that were read. This thesis puts emphasis on the family reading.
Google generation and its relationship to information

This bachelor thesis aims to analyze information needs of students born after year 1995 and find out ways they use to meet their needs. Thesis tries to answer questions which information prefers so called "Google" generation, how school and teachers first of all motivates students to searching for information. This bachelor thesis is composed from two main parts. First part occupies general determination of generation's issues and characteristic of "Google" generation. Second part devotes to research about information needs and information literacy of elementary school students. Within research is also explored function of teachers and school in issues.
Communicating with problematic users in selected libraries

The aim of this thesis Communicating with problematic users in selected libraries is to analyze problematic behavior of user and readers in the selected libraries. First part describes basic information about theory of communication. Thesis presents frequently discussed phenomena of problematic users and specific appearance presented in exploration. Which is focused on how libraries describe problematic users in library rules and which communication tactic is used to deal with them.
Analysis of the impact of subliminal signals and priming effect in information processing

The work is about possibilities of subliminal influence on the human mind. The first section explains the basic concepts of cognitive psychology, which is related to subliminal perception, threshold of consciousness and sensory threshold, with regard to the theme. In subsequent chapters is explained the operation of subliminal perception, subliminal stimuli are primarily divided into audible and visual. These are followed by a list and description of experiments and examples from practice and everyday life from ancient Greece to the present. The next chapter is about priming and examples of its use. After the principle of subliminal advertising and product placement is described and their place in legislation in the Czech republic; everything is documented by many examples. At the end of the work, the author demurs to the overall situation and tries to evaluate it.
Analogy of social information systems and information systems of living organisms in selected texts

In the first half, the work is about human society information systems. It tries to find an origin of the information in the society, describes forms of the information and tries to explain causes for communication. Later it describes main attributes of the system itself. From mentioned facts the work then figures out an idea about new division of information systems based on the purpouse of a system. The next part concerns information structures present in the body of plants and plant neurobilology. Then the work question the relationship between the information science and the cognitive science. Later the woork tries to work out some global charakteristics of plant information structures. In the last part work discuss the basic funcions of the human brain and late discoveries in glia cells field. Conclussion of the whole work follows. Sources of information for unemployed in the Czech Republic

The target of this bachelor work was to be established the summary of information sources for unemployed persons in the Czech republic, which are provided on the Internet. In the foreword was already explained the useful basic terms for the problems about the unemployment, destined in the short overview about development of unemployment on the area Czech republic. The second part of bachelor work dealing with combination of user working with I formations and with operation of Human resources. This chapter is solving the basic query and questions which needed to be requested from every unemployed person and gone advised to the most important types of information sources regarding the searching of work places. The third part of bachelor describes information sources and their possibilities for unemployed person. At last is written how to be characterized web sides of several types for information sources, the resolution evaluated user helpfulness and contribution to the unemployed persons.

The bachelor thesis "Disinhibition forms and manifestation" focuses on the internet communication. Nowadays, mobile phones, Internet and other communication devices can use the Internet or your mobile phone to communicate for hours. Start of thesis deals with an introduction to the history of the Internet and cyberspace as an environment in which the Internet is. Then he deals with basic psychological aspects of communication in cyberspace. It represents a typical group of victims, and various methods of attack. It points out the advantages and disadvantages of Internet and social networks and their dangers, but also on the positive aspects of social networks and the Internet for young people. The bachelor thesis can be used as a source of information to all who are interested in communicating on the Internet. And as a further inspiration to those who explore this area of communication.
Urban legends, their distribution in modern society and their influence on society

Bachelor's thesis describes the current spread of legends in the society. In first chapter, author analyzes the theory of communication, ie. models, motives and modes of communication, both in real world and cyberspace. Next section briefly describes theory and history of folklore and current developments of urban legend research, both in world and in the Czech Republic. In the last chapter, author develops the main theme of the thesis, the relationship of contemporary legends and information worker. It shows where the information worker is likely to meet urban legends, what are their characteristics and traits and how they can be easily identified. In conclusion, there are shown techniques that will improve communication, especially argumentation and persuasion in the context of contemporary legends.
