Function Generator with the Android Operating System
Neradilková, Aneta ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Function generators are equipments that generate a wide range of waveforms. This bachelor’s thesis introduces the function generator and Arduino platform. On the basis of familiarity with the function generator and the Arduino platform is designed proposal generator using Arduino kit and draft flowchart for generating four waveforms. This proposal is implemented and describes the different parts of the generator, hardware and software. The functionality of the generator is tested using an oscilloscope.
Experimental depth of field determination of optical imaging systems
Kubáček, Svatopluk ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Odstrčilík, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this work is to introduce the principle of scanning in optical microscopy. This thesis deals with problem of parameters of display process and their influence on the results and measurements of these parameters. In detail there is analyzed the depth of field of the optical system and there are established some possibilities of theoretical and experimental determination. Part of this thesis is the realization of the measurement work place and program providing experimental depth of field based on different measurement methods. The conclusion is devoted to the practical part, which has the task to monitor settings and optical systems and their impact on depth of field.
Biofeedback and its practical use
Dvořák, Jiří ; Hrozek, Jan (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
The aim of this work is describe common methods of biological feedback therapy that is used to treat some psychosomatic diseases. Subsequently, the description is focused on minimal brain dysfunction treatment by the help of EEG biofeedback. Properties and technical requirements for this therapy are concretized. The last part of this thesis is dedicated to the design and realization of practical software tool for EEG biofeedback therapy which is made in LabView 7.1. The M535 acquisition unit and NI USB-6221 measuring device are used for hardware solution.
Hand drawn objects recognition
Křístek, Jakub ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Janoušek, Oto (advisor)
This work deals with recognition of hand-drawn objects traced by children with mental disorders. The aim is to classify object’s geometrical primitives into classes so then can be plotted along with the idealized shape of the input object. Level of mental retardation is determined by the variance of the input (drawn) object from idealized shape of the object (artwork).
Advanced methods for cardiac cells contour detection
Spíchalová, Barbora ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Odstrčilík, Jan (advisor)
This thesis focuses on advanced methods of detecting contours of the cardiac cells and measuring their contraction. The theoretical section describes the types of confocal microscopes, which are used for capturing biological samples. The following chapter is devoted to the methods of cardiac cells segmentation, where we are introduced to the generally applied approaches. The most widely spread methods of segmentation are active contours and mathematical morphology, which are the crucial topics of this thesis. Thanks to the those methods we are able in the visual data to accurately detect required elements and measure their surface chnage in time. Acquired theoretical knowledge leads us to the practical realization of the methods in MATLAB.
Averaging of biological signals
Kubík, Adam ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Smital, Lukáš (advisor)
The main aim of this thesis is to introduce issue of averaging of biological signals. The first part of the thesis deals with the principles of individual averaging methods (constant, floating and exponential window) and describes their basic features. Moreover, the principle of filtered residue, detection of QRS complex, and stretching/shrinking the length of RR-interval to the standardized length are explicated. In the second part of the thesis the outcomes of practically realized (Matlab and GUI) methods of averaging (by final signal-to-noise ratio) are evaluated. Signals from MIT-BIH database are used.
Analysis of the meteorological dates
Králík, Martin ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Rozman, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor’s thesis is to recognize the basics of atmospherical physics, the techniques and measuring instruments used in weather stations and the statistical analysis of three chosen meteorological parameters. Data analysis is made by using graphical display method, which is discussed later on.
Solutions of the electronic leaflet for the pharmaceutical industry
Psota, Tomáš ; Odstrčilík, Jan (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the introduction of electronic package leaflet for drug boxes. The theoretical part deals with the process of registration and production of medicinal products and their modern labeling used for identification. The practical part deals with the issue of printing labels using a web application, so that printed labels comply with the regulations and directives that are given and have not been violated.
Use of cell phone in liquids analysis
Křístek, Tomáš ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Čmiel, Vratislav (advisor)
Technological development, broad availability and ubiquity of mobile phones made it possible in recent years to start a progression leading to the integration of mobile phones into biomedical analytical methods, the development of telemedicine and mobile personal health applications. This paper deals with the literature review of the mobile phone usage in biomedicine, with emphasis on the methods of optical analysis and technical solutions using 3D printing technology. It provides a draft and practical implementation of salivary cortiol level measuring system using a mobile phone, ELISA analytical methods, 3D printing technology and a set of custom Matlab functions connected with Matlab Mobile application and Mathworks Cloud. Also provides critical evaluation of results and method possibilities, and presents set of proposals and findings for quality of measurment optimization.
Analysis of electrical properties of cardiac cells
Švecová, Olga ; Čmiel, Vratislav (referee) ; Šimurda, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the analysis of the electrical properties of the heart cells membranes. The main goal of this work is to answer to what extent it is possible to infer from experimental data on the detailed mechanism of interaction of substances with channels. The work also presents a detailed description of methods of measurement of membrane voltage and current, which are used in the experimental measurements. There are also discussed the individual channels of the cell membrane and ion currents, which arise as a response to the rectangular pulse voltage. There is also described the effect of various substances on the properties of ion currents flowing through the cell membrane.
